As a matter of fact, like Ace, we were mightily surprised to see that the Washington Compost reported it even once.

Democrats fumed last week at Vice President Cheney’s suggestion that criticism of the administration’s war policies was itself becoming a hindrance to the war effort. But a new poll indicates most Americans are sympathetic to Cheney’s point.

Seventy percent of people surveyed said that criticism of the war by Democratic senators hurts troop morale — with 44 percent saying morale is hurt “a lot,” according to a poll taken by RT Strategies. Even self-identified Democrats agree: 55 percent believe criticism hurts morale, while 21 percent say it helps morale.

Once again: 70% of all people surveyed and 55% of Democrats (those that will even admit it) say that the backstabbing liars on Capitol Hill are hurting troop morale with their fabrications and calls for troop withdrawal (except when actually asked to vote on it, of course), and 44% of those interviewed say that it hurts morale a lot.

Of course, this has been the strategy of the Dhimmirat Surrender Weasels all along. They’ve been hoping and praying and doing everything in their power to bring about a defeat for our troops in order to use it as a lever to get back in power. But don’t you dare question their patriotism, dontcha know?

The bad news, for the Benedictocrats, is that their strategy would only work if the public didn’t see what they were up to, something they, being the elitist, condescending, arrogant assnuggets that they are, took for granted.

Not so, it would appear.

Prepare for the Party of Licking Zarqawi’s Sweaty Nutsack to start backpedaling and re-inventing themselves yet again.

I have a proposal that would take some real scrotal fortitude to execute (and therefore the GOP won’t do it).

Republicans should not hold pre-election debates with Democrats anymore. Hold them with Libertarians, the Constitution Party, and even the damned Communists and Greens. But no more Democrats. They must be sent a clear message that their time in the sun is over.

Just watch, poll worshippers that they are, they will do a quick turnaround and start to praise the effort now, acting like they never NEVER would say anything that would affect the morale of our brave fighting men and women….honesty is NOT one of their virtues. Damage is done as far as I’m concerned….we now have troops being disciplined for not being culturally sensitive towards the enemy for Gods Sake, what more do we need to do to hurt the morale of those on the front line? Force them to apologize to an islamonazi after drilling him? pay a years salary to his islamonazi family out of their own pocket?

woooops, that wasn’t very considerate of me, calling them islamonazi’s. I think I’m overdue for sensitivity training….will look into that, right after I get back from the range.

On a side note, there was a funny letter to the editor in todays Seattle Times. The writer talked about how the Democrats are shouting out the virtues and heroics of Murtha, recalling his Marine service and medals, and how dare we criticize this man…but listen to their screams of protest if he goes anywhere near a school or graduating seniors with his uniform on….oh yeah, I forgot….it’s the honesty thing again….

I don’t believe any polls. They are the most dishonest and easiest to manipulate thing in politics today and boy that’s really saying something.

I love the idea of the Republicans debating only Liberatarians or everyone but the Dems. I think it would be even better if any Democrat who wanted to debate, if there is any actual evidence of them having physically LIED about something as so many have, or accused someone of something patently untrue and unprovable, they should just be crossed off the list as “Having shown insufficient integrity to merit national leadership.” Period.

I don’t believe any polls. They are the most dishonest and easiest to manipulate thing in politics today and boy that’s really saying something.

More properly, easiest to manipulate period. Statistics being IMHO the fuzziest subset of mathematics, is easily jiggered to reach the desired results. Dr. Ernest Sternglass has built a career on manipulation of statistics related to the nuclear power industry and cancer. His model is similar to the vaunted MSM’s polling techniques. Cherry pick your population set, shit-can adjust any factors that may skew the desired results and most importantly, publish your findings without subjecting them to that pesky peer review process.

His ongoing scam scientific project is aptly named the Tooth Fairy Project. The website is worth a look and a giggle. His supporters include such luminary health physics experts such as Susan Sarandon and Alec Baldwin.

    the usual suspects…..

While the the MSM loves to trumpet Bush’s “low approval numbers”, the dirty little secret is that the House and Senate democrat approval numbers are far worse.

Now why would the Washington Compost publish a poll saying that 70% believe the the democrat senators are hurting troop morale?

    Oh, that’s right.

To liberals, hurting troop morale is a good thing…..

After all, in the leftist moonbat mind, the troops are bloodthirsty, warmongering robots for the Imperialist Bush/Cheney/Rove/Rumsfeld/Halliburton oligarchy.

I recall one sunny Ramadan afternoon when a reporter took pictures of a bomb on a USN carrier that was scheduled to be delivered to Saddam’s front door step. It said “Happy Ramadan!!” on it, amongst other things. The USN upon seeing this news footage broadcast launched and investigation, and the sailor was punished for not being “Sensitive” since it was Ramadan and the poor little towlheads might get offended by such crassness on a FRIGGIN BOMB!

So, if you have time to read what’s written on the goddam thing before it blows you to Al ah (ramma lamma ding dong) would you have time enough to consider if you were personally offended before you were blown up? Or, is it more offensive to be blown up, or be vaguely insulted?
