Looks like the CPT fools who insisted on going to Iraq unarmed to undermine the war effort are about to be whacked by the vermin they support:

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Al-Jazeera television broadcast a videotape Friday in which kidnappers of four Christian peace activists threatened to kill their hostages unless all prisoners in U.S. and Iraqi detention centers are released. The kidnappers gave the two governments until Dec. 8 to meet their demands, Al-Jazeera quoted a statement delivered with the tape as saying.

The four unfortunate Idiotarians had better start praying that the Coalition ignores their parent organization’s demand that no violence be used to free them. Because if they don’t… Oh well, goodbye, we hardly knew ye.

[Two of the hostages] were calling on the U.S. and British governments to withdraw from Iraq, Al-Jazeera reported, quoting a statement from the kidnappers, who earlier identified themselves as the Swords of Righteousness Brigade.

Skanky Pelosi and Jack Murthafucker are among the hostages? No, apparently not. It’s just that they seem to be reading from the same playbook as the terrorists, is all.

So what else is new?

Weren’t Giuliana Sgrena and Florence Aubenas also threatened with death if certain conditions weren’t met? And didn’t those “certain conditions” mutate into juicy ransoms?

Bluto, I seem to recall reading (I think @ realpolitics, but I won’t promise) that the same group that kidnapped this buch of asshats were the ones that “kidnapped” Sgrena. Meselfs, I smell another setup for funding, I do.

    Could that be it??

Hmm, the group that “kidnapped” the crazy commie cupid stunt wasn’t heard from again. Now another new group appears holding western hostages and making big demands. It will be interesting to see where this goes.
I hope our troops have no intelligience on their whereabouts. They would risk their lives to rescue these people and the moonbats don’t deserve that and wouldn’t appreciate it anyways. They would slam the troops for killing the terrorists, who threatened to kill them.

O Torturer, I humbly disagree (and beg you not to use The Rack on me) (you know, that just didn’t come out how I intended somehow…) with your snarkism about a 20 year Buddhist prayer vigil for peace.

I posted an article on my blog which I wrote a few months ago, that is about Faith, but relates to prayer. A bit too religious for most people probably, as I was feeling, er, inspired.

Just because liberal morons practice kriminal kumbaya with their denial of genuine threat and reality, doesn’t mean that good thoughts and prayers are denial or brainless. That is definitely throwing the baby of goodness out with the bathwater of leftist muck.

  17. Emperor Darth Misha I Comment by Emperor Darth Misha I UNITED STATES

Oh, I don’t think that the Imperial Torturer was suggesting that prayer was altogether worthless (here I go speaking out of turn again ;-) ), but merely that prayer in itself isn’t enough always, so to speak.

There’s a lot of truth in the saying that “the L-rd helps those who help themselves”, and this is a perfect example of where it applies, if you ask me. Praying for intercession only works, in my experience, if you limit your request to areas in which only He can intercede or, to put it in another way, in areas where you are helpless. Some people seem to think that that’s it, that this is all they have to do. But that’s only part of the “deal” as far as I’m concerned. If you expect Him to reach out where you cannot reach, it is understood that you at the same time take care of all that you can take care of.

I find this mildly offensive, to say the very least, this mentality of “I’ll just pray and then I’ll sit back on my tuches and let G-d do all the work for me while I pop a cold one and tune in to Wheel of Fortune.” It’s a good thing that G-d is merciful, because if He weren’t (or if He were more like me) there’d be a sudden surge in mysterious lightning bolts all over the planet.

G-d will reach out and help, but He’ll also expect you to do your part, with His guidance.

Sadly, those Buddhists seem to think that their prayer vigil is all that it’s going to take and that it’s all that’s required of them.

Soldiers fight. Monks pray. There are focii and seasons in people, too. I consider prayer very important to our world, and as far as I’m concerned, the leverage of prayer in a monastery or convent may in fact contribute in ways we can’t measure to the leverage of military might on the battleground. If nothing else, in the internal support of the heart for our men. I would not trade a prayer for an M16 if I were dealing with the enemy physically, but for those who are not on combat grounds, and particular those who live in a monastery or convent instead, prayer is the most powerful weapon for good that they can contribute. I think it’s really great when I see that. I feel like saying to prayer-vigil monks and nuns and others, Thank you for holding the line of focus with God. This allows others to hold the line of focus with shoulder-launched impact-accelerant weapons, and we still get needed prayer into the overall mix. ;-) I might add that I have occasional ‘rants’ on religion too and a couple are pointedly about Buddhism so I kind of see where you’re going myself, LOL — but sincere and unceasing prayer is worthy of respect.

So this guy swimming far off the beach can’t fight the tides and finds himself tiring and realizes he is going to drown. He calls on God, GOD, SAVE ME! and in great faith, waits for God to assist. An old man in a rowboat sees him and rows toward him. “No, don’t worry about me,” the swimmer shouts over at him. “God will save me!” Not long later, a coast guard helicopter sees him and hovers and a diver descends a rope above him. “Don’t worry about me,” he shouts up at the fellow, “God will save me!”

Finally, when his energy is gone and he can’t float anymore as the water is getting to choppy and he has floated out to sea yet more and the sun is going down, just as he’s about to expire, a small yacht of people sees him and they angle over to help. “Don’t worry about me,” he assures them, steadfast in his faith. “God will save me!”

He drowns. He gets to heaven, and meets God. “Your faith was very strong,” God says approvingly. The swimmer, exasperated, says, “But God… why didn’t you save me?” God laughs. “Well for Godssakes,” he says with a grin, “I SENT YOU two boats and a helicopter!”

    {terrible jokes like these are a consequence of my growing up a Baptist. LOL.}

I would not trade a prayer for an M16 if I were dealing with the enemy physically, — er, I meant, obviously I’d want the gun. But I’d use both. I seem to have trouble with english lately. Since it’s my only language, maybe I should be worried. :-)

I’d take a G3 or an M1A any time of the week and twice on Sundays.

Actually, I was going for the “assault rifle” thing. Relatively small and lightweight, plus full-auto rock&roll.

The G-3 and M1A are a little heavy to qualify for me.

Besides, as the IFA says, what’s wrong with an M1 Carbine? I certianly wouldn’t miss full-auto (and if I did, there’s always the M2).
