Looks like ol’ Cindy the Shee-hag has gone and done it now…
Cindy Sheehan, the California woman who has used her son’s death in Iraq to spur the anti-war movement, was arrested Monday while protesting outside the White House.
Sheehan and several dozen other protesters sat down on the sidewalk after marching along the pedestrian walkway on Pennsylvania Avenue. Police warned them three times that they were breaking the law by failing to move along, then began making arrests.
Oh, I dunno - the kindly Washington SS agents stormtroopers pigs police might should have given them another…oh, say…58,717 opportunities to not make complete asses of themselves before moving in.
I mean, it’s gotta be awfully hard to hear with your fingers in your ears and going “LA LA LA LA LA LA I CAN’T HEEEEEEEEARRRRRRR YOUUUUUUUUUU…!!!!!”. Y’know?
Sheehan was the first taken into custody. She stood up and was led to a police vehicle while protesters chanted, “The whole world is watching.”

Sorry Lord Spatula, normally I could find the humor in this but not today. I made mention on Insta Bark on Saturday night that I was going to the funeral of a young local Marine who was Killed in Ramadi Iraq on 9/10/05. Having never been to a military funeral before, I lost it when the Marines brought the casket down the aisle of the church. I lost it because I thought of Sheehan and those other creatures, and how insignificant they are compared to that kid laying under that flag, and his brothers in arms all around him. I cried partly in sorrow but mostly in anger because these bastards have absolutely NO appreciation or gratitude for the sacrifices that these kids make for them…and yes that means YOU Sheehan. I have no patience with any of you anymore. You are wrong and you are getting these kids, who are far far better human beings than you ever will be, killed by your actions…their blood is on YOUR hands, not on W’s. I hate you all….
There were over a thousand people at this service, many stayed outside waving flags…members of a local group called Operation Support Our Troops. My only wish was that some of these traitorous cowards with Sheehan could have seen those fine young Marines in their dress blues, could have seen this Marine’s little brother, an Army Medic….could have seen the Vietnam Vets who showed up to wave flags and salute as the hearse drove by….could have seen the chests full of medals and scars that some of these kids have brought back from Iraq…could have seen the Marine Moms who showed up to support this kids mother. I shook the hand of one of the Marines, he had a Purple Heart on his dress blues. I asked him where he had been hit and he rolled up the sleeve on his right arm (the same arm I had just shaken so firmly), once I saw the scar running from his wrist to elbow I immediately apologized for shaking his hand so hard. He laughed and said that a month ago, he wouldn’t have felt it and that it was a pleasure to get his hand squeezed so hard and be able to feel it again. That’s gratitude, that’s heroic, that’s having the clearest perspective that I’ve ever seen. Those are attributes that Sheehan and Kennedy and Pelosi and Al Zarqawi and Bin Laden know nothing about.
I’ve gone on wayyy too long here, and am starting to lose my composure again…just feel the need to shout at my friends here on the Rott. Please let me close with this:
Thank you Lord for blessing this nation with the fine young heroes that I saw and met today. Thank you for Lance Corporal Shane Swanberg, please comfort his family and give them peace. Protect his brothers and sisters now serving in harms way…give them clear vision, let them know that they are doing a noble thing, and give me the strength to lend them a hand in any way possible…Bless them all

First off, today’s “disobedience” in DC was staged beforehand, with International ANSWER and other groups all engaging in disruptive behavior with the express intent of disrupting local police and generating headlines and photo ops.
Second, far from wanting Sheehan locked up, I want her out in front of the cameras as often and as prominently as possible. She is the best thing to happen to the GOP in ages. I mean, you can’t buy advertising like that - talk about driving not just the middle, but practically the whole political spectrum, away from you.
I’m also amused that, following weeks of build up and slanted press coverage, Cindy has managed to scrape together an entire cadre of “dozens.” And how many of those were reporters, I wonder?

About Cindy Sheehan: If anything the fact that the protestors stole “the whole world is watching” chant from the 68 DNC is pathetic. I guess that this is the level of civil discourse, yell and scream slogans while walking up and down a zebra crossing blocking traffic. Who cares anymore? 90% of DC didn’t even vote for President Bush so why is Cindy preaching to the choir? I’ll tell you why. She feels that because her son died in Iraq(It’s Bush’s fault(tm)) she is the only person who can get troops back home. Is it me but should the peace and love movement honor what we are doing in Iraq? That is why I am a rightist and not a leftist, folks. We can’t afford to lose another war just to please people who might not even play a big role in history in the future. Sheehan’s symbolism calls for a nice little departure from Iraq but in the long term, it accomplishes nothing. Iraq would become worse, Saddam will be brought back and the whole world will reverse to a pre-Iraqi war stage which would be a good plot for a movie. Remember how far we had to go to restore our military’s morale after the Vietnam War. In Baghdad the mayor wants a statue(and it probably already has been) erected of President Bush just like there is a statue of Harry Truman in Greece. Cindy Sheehan will be reduced to another ridiculous anti-war protestor and will not better mankind because of it. She prefers the cushy foreign status quo of Liberalism and is a pacifist but hides under the UN because she doesn’t want to seem like an anti-war lunatic all of the time. Now, I could say rational debates about the handling of the war but to act like Cindy Sheehan is horrible. I’ve never seen or heard such a demented, anti-American nutcase as she which is a problem because I don’t use anti-American that often. I have a lot more to say but I’ll finish it at that.

However, her divorce papers allude to “benefits from her sons death” as known assets, so we don’t know how much or what percent she got, but she probably got some.
