(Hat tip to Glenn Beck’s Kick-Ass Site.)

The same Impeccably-credentialed Scientifical Geniuses™ (Or is that “Geniusi”?) who brought us The New & Improved Ice Age™, a mere thirty years ago, are now saying that The Montreal Protocol has caused more Global Worming™ than the full implementation of The Kyoto Protocol would have prevented in its totality.

(Note: All emphasis mine—B.)

When more than two dozen countries undertook in 1989 to fix the ozone hole over Antarctica, they began replacing chloroflourocarbons in refrigerators, air conditioners and hair spray.

But they had little idea that using other gases that contain chlorine or fluorine instead also would contribute greatly to global warming.

But we just HAD to listen to these Vaunted Pillars of Asshatemia™ and immediately sign on dotted line of The Montreal Protocol and spend billions of dollars to convert over to the New & Improved™ chemicals that they assured us would Save The Planet™! and make little bunnies smile, frolic and give us all thankful hugs.

In theory, the ban should have helped both problems. But the countries that first signed the Montreal Protocol 17 years ago failed to recognize

Hmmmmm… Imagine that?

that CFC users would seek out the cheapest available alternative.

And these LiberIdiots wonder why we don’t want them to run our economy?

Hey, PeaceFlowerNoDouche, let’s throw away our Eeeevil Kapitalist™ CFC-using air conditioner and go buy a $100,000 window unit for our hemp-weave hut. We’ll pay for it with the feces & arm pit hair necklaces that we make and sell at Earth Day celebrations.

That effect is at odds with the intent of a second treaty, drawn up in Kyoto, Japan, in 1997 by the same countries behind the Montreal pact. …

So we should all rush right on out and jump on the bandwagon and DEMAND that we sign up and start throwing money at the latter treaty…

In fact, the volume of greenhouse gases created as a result of the Montreal agreement’s phaseout of CFCs is two times to three times the amount of global-warming carbon dioxide the Kyoto agreement is supposed to eliminate.

Go back and read that again. We’ll wait. When you’re done, click on the “Read more…” button below.
