First, you must cross the burning desert, then swim the deepest sea. Upon reaching the far shore you must locate the golden penguin and perform whatever task it appoints you. Upon succesful compleation of your task you will recive a metallic key. Take the key to the Pimp-Daddy on the corner of 35th and Vine. Do not let him hustle you. The Pimp-Daddy will sell you a box of condoms, take the condoms to the local scientologist meeting. Talk to the Art Bell worshipper in the back row.

He will tell you how to access Wide Awakes Radio.

    Link

OR you could just click on the link and then click on the icon in the upper left corner of thier site.

But the first way is more fun.

    DK, LOL

Hey, here’s an article for your amusement: There Is Such A Thing As Too Much Choice

Well, what do you know? I believe I’ve just heard honesty out of a journalist.

Yes, there is more information available to us than ever, but I don’t think we are better informed. Niche media will, inevitably, continue to weaken mass media.

The second arena where we are worse off is politics. This is related to journalism, as the moderate and responsible (okay, bland) voices of the MSM get drowned out by partisan, opinionated cableheads and bloggers.

Politics in America has become polarized for many reasons, but a big one is the fact that people can now filter the news and opinion they get to avoid exposure to ideas with which they disagree. Anderson suggests that this could well be a temporary problem, and that if the major parties continue to move to the extremes and the quality of debate continues to deteriorate, the Internet could well enable a new party or parties, to arise.

Oh, woe is us! We are being IGNORED! Those Internet MEANIES are drowning us out! Oh NOES!!!!!11111!11!!!1

Yup, they long for the good old days when they controlled what people saw and heard. Bah.

    “moderate and responsible”????

Memogate. Plamegate. Swiftgate. And more… all in the last few months.

And they call that “moderate”???? God save us from biased then!

Hmm on second thought I guess memogate was a bit more than a “few” months ago… but not that much…

Would it be kosher for me to paste a link here for my neighbor who is running for congress? We’re from Missouri’s 5th district. I don’t want to break any web etiquette. Thanks.

They keep repeating it so it seems like it happend alot closer to now than 2 years ago.

I don’t think it would be, but you could ask Misha to endorse him or something. Misha@nicedoggie.net

Would it be kosher for me to paste a link here for my neighbor who is running for congress?

    Normally, no.

In this case, since it’s you and since you do ask so very politely. I mean, how can I possibly say no to THAT?

    Go ahead, Jewells, post it.

Or, better still, as DK suggested (didn’t see that), send me a few lines and maybe I can write up a post about him.

Does anyone recognize the name, “Johathan Chait who claims to hate Bush“?

Listen to the royal fisking of Chait by Hewitt and be careful if you fall into a laughing fit: http://www.radioblogger.com/images/07-10hhs-1.mp3

    DK -

“First, you must cross the burning desert… ”

    Pant! Gasp!

    “swim the deepest sea…. ”

    Gurgle! Spit!

“Upon reaching the far shore you must locate the golden penguin and perform whatever task it appoints you…. ”

Turned out to be a cross-dresser conveniently located uptown from the next address @ Hollywood & Vine… fortunately he was just into S&M and I was forced (FORCED I tell you!) to kick his shriveled excuse for genitals up into his abdomen…. after all, that *IS* what he(?) asked for….

“Take the key to the Pimp-Daddy on the corner of 35th and Vine. Do not let him hustle you. The Pimp-Daddy will sell you a box of condoms….”

He wasn’t as hard to catch as I thought… cornered him rather quickly, whereupon he surrendered, since he remembered me from the days when I taught TCAM to the “at-risk youths” in the LAPD JEOPARDY program in Souf’Central…

“take the condoms to the local scientologist meeting. Talk to the Art Bell worshipper in the back row.”

He told me to go home and read the rest of your post….

    Thanx for the link

    Jacob Turk for Congress

Thank you so much Misha. We have been his neighbor for 20 years. He’s a good man, a real straight arrow. He’s running against Cleaver and that will be a tough nut to crack, but we are all hopeful.

    Thanks again!

Umm… Perhaps I’m merely pointing to the elephant in the room, but is it just me or does WAR sound like crap? Is everyone else getting good sound? To me it sounds like it’s being broadcast from deep within Howe Caverns and just barely slipping through a Michael Moore-sized jamming signal. Jus’ sayin’ is all… ;)

Nope, it sounds pretty awful here too. In bad stretches I can make out maybe one word in three, and never more than 7 out of 8. I was going to ask if I need some other codec to hear it correctly.
