Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler » Where’s Harleigh?

We’ll have to reconsider using the line “you simply cannot make this shit up” because, apparently, there’s no end to what you can make up and get away with it. For a while, at least.

Remember George Harleigh, retired poli-sci professor from Southern Illinois University who worked for the Reagan and Nixon administrations?

If you don’t, don’t worry about it, because he’s about to become a non-entity. Actually, there’s a lot of doubt as to whether he was ever an entity to begin with. But he was wildly popular as a source with Capitol Hill Blue, “Rational Reporting of Politics Without Partisanship”, particularly because he was such a gem when it came to delivering partisan snipes about the current administration.

Until LC & IB Eric of Classical Values started trying to learn more about this massively famous professor, whose quotes, predictably, appeared all over the Sinistrosphere. Let’s be honest here, if WE had somebody quoting Slick Willy for calling the Constitution “a goddamned piece of paper”, wouldn’t WE run with it? Of course we would. Thankfully, we didn’t need any help digging holes for Kaiser Willy, seeing as how he was better at it than the entire output of the Caterpillar Corporation, but we digress.

Back to George Harleigh. No matter how much Eric tried to dig out info about the dear prof (go read, it’s truly fascinating), and he tried really really hard and enlisted his readers in the effort as well, he kept drawing blanks. Even his Alma Mater hadn’t ever heard of him, and apparently he belonged to that most rare species of academicians, professors without any publications. None. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

Then, when Capitol Hill Blue was contacted to see if they could be of any help with the matter, poor George Harleigh started disappearing from the online publication. Airbrushed out of history. Gone without a trace. And it wasn’t the first time that it had happened either. Last time, it was the noted source Terry Wilkinson who, you guessed it, had some damaging info about the current administration as well. Except, of course, that Mr Wilkinson didn’t really exist to begin with. He too was “disappeared” once the facts came out. Again, don’t miss that link either if you’re into cyber-sleuth stories, because this one is as good as they get.

Even the staff at Capitol Hill Blue seem to be hard to find any info about, other than what appears on Capitol Hill Blue.

Strange.

Maybe somebody should check the IPs in the headers of the emails from Capitol Hill Blue’s “sources?” Because we wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if they all resolve to an ISP in Rio de Janeiro, if you know what we mean.

As a bottom feeding fourth tier blogger, I think I need a few sockpuppets to get my traffic going. Or maybe I’ll just start making up sources out of thin air and make all sorts of charges against public figures. If it’s good enough for the left, why can’t it be good enough for me?

Oh, I forgot. I actually have ethics. I guess I am doomed to obscurity.

Am I wrong or is DOUG THOMPSON a delusional fool who doesn’t know when to keep his his tenuous grip on reality to himself?

Then again when Thompson continouslly quotes a biased clown with an agenda like Charlie Savage of the Boston Globe I guess he just had to let everyone else know that he had a soul-mate when it comes to Bush bashing…

Your saying that Capitol Hill Blue is the land of the sock puppets?

Well, when you’re a website trying to make a name for itself in “journalism” and you can’t find a source for Bush that has him saying “The Consitution is a damn piece of paper”, you can always make something up. Then you can joint the ranks of Dan Rather and the Weekly World News staff.

LC Muttley (#4) asks: “No, I don’t know what you mean. Enlighten me?“…

And you can also find it here Senor Muttley: Glenn Greenwald’s IP Address Stolen

If that’s not as entertaining to you then there is always this bit of lunatic moonbat ranting (mind you, you better have your tin foil head cover ready for this screamer): FEMA Concentration Camps: Locations and Executive Orders…

One should also remember that when slumming in the delusional world of Greenwald its imperative to have the The Liberal Lexicon handy at all times…

OK, let me see if I have my story straight.

The “source” of several quotes that make Bush look like an absolute power-drunk fool was found to be made up out of whole cloth (or, as they say, failed to meet “new, higher standards”). They are now “deleting or modifying some stories which our panel felt did not satisfy the criteria established for responsible journalism”.

Or, in other words, they got caught lying and are trying to cover it up.

    Why am I not suprised?

Juandos, regarding the FEMA concentration camps…can you imagine the number of feds that would get killed trying to implement that? I wish all the gun-grabbers out there would realize why we have the Second Amendment.

Was thinking while cruising through this thread - how GREAT it is that real Americans FINALLY have a means to express what they REALLY think about the MSM and Lefties and EXPOSE them for the weak-dick TRAITORS and appeasers that they really are - and how they STILL have NO ideas, no alternatives, NOTHING but hatred of Bush, and it’s gonna be their undoing - keep up the great work here, Misha!

I have been watching/reading about, “The Saga of Gwendolyn,” for several days now. Capped off by this disclosure about Thompson, whom we’ve long known had suspicious, “sources,” I’m just sitting here laughing my little heart out! I wonder if any of his so-called sources are legitimate. Hehehe

Gotta love these dishonest liberals, don’tcha??
