Dammit, the MorOn.org Iceholes are On to Us

You may or may not have heard of the storm of anti-Semitism on MorOn.org’s website. (link thanks to Sir Christopher).
September 5, 2006 — A string of anti-Semitic rants about Sen. Joe Lieberman have popped up on the liberal MoveOn.org’s open forum Web site, drawing criticism from the Anti-Defamation League.
It’s the latest flap in the contentious race between Lieberman, who is running as an independent to keep his seat in Connecticut, and upstart Ned Lamont, the Democratic nominee.
Must be all of those Lamont-supporting “moderates” that the New York Times keeps talking about.
Foxman cited examples from the site’s Action Forum, including “media owning Jewish pigs,” “Zionazis,” a reference to the senator as “Jew Lieberman” and the question, “Why are the Jews so Jew-y?”
We’d hate to see what the “extremist” wing of the Dhimmicratic party has to say.
So what does Eli Pariser of Der Stürmer MorOn.org has to say?
“Once in a while - as in any public forum - inappropriate material is posted,” he wrote. “Recently, a few of the thousands of comments that are posted every week contained anti-Semitic language.
“The comments that were posted were abhorrent. We were dismayed to see them, and removed them as soon as they came to our attention 17 days ago.”
He added that most of the comments were not made by MoveOn members and suggested it could be an effort by conservatives to “target” the group, and said any effort to tie the rants to MoveOn was “wrong.”
Dammit! They figured it out! Yes, of course it was the VRWC trying to “target” MorOn.org. After all, we don’t have anything to do other than trolling regressive websites, pretending to be anti-Semitic liberals.
We sure hope that our being caught this way won’t interfere with the checks from the Global Zionist HQ in Jerusalem that we keep hearing are in the mail.

Anyone in the world can post on a public forum. This could have been a 13-year-old kid from Idaho for all we know. This is a non-issue, and has nothing to with political ideologies from any side.

One who possesses a wee bit of intellect, including you, could not possibly believe trolling progressive websites, pretending to be anti-Semetic liberals would be the only thing Misha has to do. According to them, us right-wing conservatives are too stupid to post on the Internet, or we’re too busy getting drunk & beating our wives, watching NASCAR, , or we’re rich capitalists and too busy plotting to take over the world and screw the poor to spend our time posting on MoveOn. After all, if making comments about Republicans being less than human & deserving of death for their beliefs is perfectly acceptable, a little anti-Semitism is all right.

MoveOn.org was watching the board and removing COMPLAINTS about the anti-Semitic material and other slurs long before it began to clean up the worst of the anti-Semitic trash. It did the latter, not 17 days ago but only over Labor Day weekend, when they got caught red-handed and exposed in the Washington Post and elsewhere.
Mr. Ellis, who posted some of the most vicious material, is definitely not one of those “conservatives” or “neocons” whom Pariser blames for polluting his forum.
