Interrupting our regular schedule of bilious rants, we’re happy to inform you that the hated Yankees were eliminated.
THE CURSE OF THE HILDEBEEST STRIKES AGAIN!
We guess our chances of staying sober just went out the window.
Now where’s the sparkly, dammit?

October 8th, 2006 at 3:52 amHey! The Yankees were around loooooooong before Hillary was born. I grew up idolizing Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Yogi Berra and Whitey Ford. The only place around to go bowling when I was a kid was the place that Whitey opened (Whitey Ford Lanes) in my hometown, Smithtown, LI. Oh Lordy but I loved the Yankees back then. I still remember the excitement of Mantle and Maris chasing the Babe’s HR record leading into the 1961 World Series. I was twelve years old. As kids we would sleep with our baseball mitts and dream…
But that was a long, long time ago before free agency in a galaxy far, far away.
If only my mother hadn’t thrown away that shoe box full of baseball cards I had from the mid 50’s and 60’s. *sigh*
I had Duke Snider for crying out loud! You know how much gum I had to chew to get the Duke?!? I prolly wrapped, in today’s prices, about $2,500 in baseball cards around my bikes front forks with clothespins so the spokes would make that cool snapping noise. And those were the ones I thought were garbage..
October 8th, 2006 at 10:09 amI still have my baseball mitt from 1961. I got it for my 12th birthday. It’s in the hall closet. I tried to give it to my grandson but he thought it was yucky. So go the dreams of our youth.
October 8th, 2006 at 10:13 amWith all due respect Spats, A-Rod’s overrated ass has only been with them the last three years they have fallen short (they have lost to lesser rated teams each of the past 6 years
). Their last championship was a mere 12 days before Hitlery donned the cap on her horned head to secure illegitimate power in NY!
A-Rod’s continuous choking is a mere symptom of the larger, more virulent curse. The Hillary Curse - finally she’s done some good.
Tell every baseball fan “do not let her become President! If she does the Toronto Blue Jays will win the next 100 World Series! :clap_tb:
October 8th, 2006 at 1:21 pmHillary for Prez!!! Hillary for Prez!!!
October 8th, 2006 at 2:25 pmI could care less about the Tigers or any team other than my Fish (Fl. Marlins for those of you in Rio Linda), but if they killed the Yankees, YEAH TIGERS.
