Not that Rudy Guiliani is on the top of His Imperial Majesty’s list of candidates for ‘08, but we have to agree with LC & IB Dan that this is just about the most pathetic reason we’ve heard as to why he wouldn’t be a good choice for the primaries.
We’d think it would be much worse to be remembered as, say, the guy who wouldn’t under any circumstances agree to using coercive interrogation techniques such as waterboarding, extreme sleep deprivation or hypothermia on Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11 and the animal who personally beheaded Daniel Pearl, swapping knives during the butchering because the first got too dull.
Of course, no prospective Republican candidate for President in ‘08 would ever be insane enough to be against that.
Well, except for this one.
And whereas the media may forget about this before the ‘08 primaries, His Imperial Majesty promises that he won’t.
And we’ll be sure to post reminders too.
Repeatedly.

Nose surfing, shoot tha tube!
October 15th, 2006 at 10:03 pmI will not vote for McCain. Period. My dad, that noble, quiet, enduring man, his final wish as he cried like a baby in front of me, trapped in his wheelchair, all eighty-five pounds of him as his cancer ate him alive, begged me, in tears, to look after mother. She lives in Arizona. It took SIX FUCKING YEARS for her to get the VA benefits he paid such a dear price for, his wartime injuries contributing to his two later strokes. We wrote to McCain, phoned him, begged, pleaded and related our plight.
October 15th, 2006 at 10:06 pmNothing, promises yes, actions none!
Finally, some unnamed soul in Washington…..when my mother wrote one final note for one last time..”Won’t somebody stand up for my Edward?” And someone stood, I do not know who. The bennies approved. No more delays, no more circle jerks, no more some fuckhead getting a bonus based on how many vets he/she can fuck over. Goddammit, it’s making my eyes wet remembering this! I wrote like I never wrote before, remembering my promise to him, a man I wasn’t fit to shine his shoes sat, cried and begged ME to look after the love of his life. But when some fucking scumbag, especially a fellow POW, can turn his back on a brother…….
I found my choice in ‘08.
Damn, he’s perfect for the job :lol_tb:
October 16th, 2006 at 12:30 amMcCain has a better chance if he drops the R and picks up a D! If he thinks the conservative base will vote for him he is delusional!
October 16th, 2006 at 5:26 amI like that Dave, poignant and to the point.
October 16th, 2006 at 7:43 amGuiliani/Rice ‘08.
Period.
October 16th, 2006 at 8:22 amAllen/Swann 2008.
Let’s stop screwing around.
:guns_tb:
October 16th, 2006 at 9:40 amI don’t know. I liked Rice, but her performance at State has been somewhat uninspiring. Maybe she’s been trapped by the bureaucracy, but it’s been less than I’d hoped. Giuliani is soft on the 2nd Amendment. The idea of a black woman as VP would serve to take some of the steam out of demonrat propaganda. Allen/Swann could be a winner, although I think Lynn Swann is still a bit green.
Here are a couple of fantasy tickets:
October 16th, 2006 at 10:07 amJohn Bolton/R. Lee Ermey
Karl Rove/Ann Coulter
Michelle Malkin/Ann Coulter (it is to drool over!!)
As much as we have our “dream team” ticket, you know it won’t happen.
The Party of Stoopid will find a limp-dick, semi-known name to run on the milque-toast platform.
G_d forbid the right-wing of the party has a say in it.
Especially those eeevil religious conservatives.
I should point out his to His Rottiness, that a Spew warning be issued for Traitor McSwine links, please?
I’m still tasting the bile.
and NO..I remain optimistic regardless…
