Rangel Opens Ass, Spews Out Dhimmicrats’ TRUE Feelings of “Support” For Our Troops

“If a young fellow has an option of having a decent career, or joining the Army to fight in Iraq, you can bet your life that he would not be in Iraq,” Mr. Rangel, a Democrat representing Manhattan and Queens, said on “Fox News Sunday.”
“If there’s anyone who believes these youngsters want to fight, as the Pentagon and some generals have said, you can just forget about it. No bright young individual wants to fight just because of a bonus and just because of educational benefits. And most all of them come from communities of very, very high unemployment,” the congressman said.
If there was even ONE set of testicles on the Right side of the aisle on The Hill, Rangel would be dangling from the end of a rope at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, right alongside all of the other traitors and seditionists on the Left side of the aisle.

I had the pleasure of spending part of my afternoon with the Army Recruiter who visits the high school where I teach. He’s training his replacement as his recruiting commitment is up and he’s being re-assigned to Alaska for Arctic training…he’s pretty cranked to go there.
His replacement is an Iraq war vet and a trooper with the 101st, he wears his CIB proudly and I am proud to know the both of them and call them friends. These two guys are two of the smartest, most honest people I think I’ve ever met…unlike that rangel creature, they are proud of their army and are proud to serve…WILLINGLY….
I’ve gotten to know all of the recruiters who come on campus, I’ve gone to the range with the Marine recruiter (and got some very good tips on shooting BTW), bought lunch for the Navy recruiters, and have shared reference notes and web design tips with the Air Force guys. All of them are what I would define as the best and brightest of all Americans. This nation and especially it’s politicians should be humbled, knowing that people of such high caliber are defending them….rangel is an insult to this country, it’s flag, and to these great Americans who I have the honor to call friends.

I actually take a very personal offense to what he said, and for shits and giggles, send an email telling him that i am a bright young individual and gladly signed up for the armed forces, knowing full well that i would probably be sent over to Iraq (at the time of my enlistment that is). And you know what, I would gladly go over there too!

He really didn’t care about the bonus, the educational benefits are serving him well today, but he simply wanted to serve his country … period. Therefore according to my limited experience Charles Rangel is not only wrong - he’s dumb as a stick.
November 28th, 2006 at 8:50 amI don’t get these freakin’ idjits. My dad was career army - served in Viet Nam and stayed in another 15 years after 2 tours. I served the Air Force proudly for 6, my brother for 4 and my step-son currently is in the army and just graduated from jump school.
My dad has an MBA, I have my MPH, my brother (R.I.P.) was an ITT grad and my step-son was top of the class in his JROTC in HS. He signed up knowing he could go to Iraq or Afghanistan.
I hate these freakin’ liberal elites. They are so out of touch with the people and this country. We should round em all up and set them down in the middle of Sadr City and we’ll see if those “poor” and “ignorant” soldiers will save their elitist asses!
Unfortunately, our soldiers will save them, because that is what they do!

I graduated first in my class, there was not a school in my home country that wouldn’t admit me to whatever education I chose to apply for (I checked), I dodged the draft lottery and the first thing I did was to volunteer for the Army instead.
I guess that, according to Rankle, my accomplishments didn’t mean squat. I was still a dumbass unable to get a “decent career” that was “forced” to sign up.

I’ve been in uniform since 1972. Nearly four tears Active Air Force and the rest in the Air Force Reserves. The quality of personnel has done nothing but soared since the services became All Volunteer under President Reagan.
I know of dozens of enlisted men and women who have achieved degrees and Commissions. The entire NCO and Officer Promotion Syatem is based on College Credited education and performance.
Rangle’s a career politician and dumber than a sack of hammers. That he is given air time to spew his moronic nonsense is disgusting!

He surely knows that if there were a draft the anti-war peaceniks would number in the thousands, rather than a handful of screeching loonies. (ala St. Cindy of the Ditch) When you have volunteers willingly serving their country you don’t have their friends and family marching in the streets, demanding that you bring the boys home.
All that crap about, “supporting the troops, but not supporting the war”, can’t get any traction when the fighting men and women in our Military want to be doing what they’re doing.
Another thing to consider is that todays Military mostly wants the best and the brightest, the dedicated soldier that believes in their mission. This shuts the door on many of Rangel’s so called “constituants” that are HS dropouts, ho’ chasin’ dawgs and saggy pants miscreants.

“We (the military) are NOT a “reflection” of society - we’re BETTER than society!”
I’ll never forget that, and having lived over 5 decades now and having given the best years of my life on active duty, I do believe that still rings true - especially when idiots like Rangel spew off.
