Yes, I know that we’re talking about Eason “we covered up Saddam’s crimes to keep our Baghdad offices” Jordan, or Eason “US soldiers are deliberately murdering journalists” Jordan, as he is also known and no, I’m not about to trust him any further than I can throw him (I may have been born at night, but it wasn’t last night) but, slimeball or no slimeball, I’m not one to refuse to give credit where credit’s due when some credit is due.

Not only is Eason going balls-to-the-wall after the Associated Prevaricators and their fictional sources, not to mention their complete and utter refusal to provide any proof of their fairy tales, but he’s also footing the bill for LC & IBs Michelle Malkin, Bryan Preston and Curt of Flopping Aces to go to Baghdad to try to make some sense of it all.

I’m sure that Eason has some deeper, personal motive for all of this, but I’m also aware of the fact that his outspokenness against the lies and prevarications of his former buddies isn’t going to help whatever might remain of his shattered career any. So consider this a conditional, temporary tip of the crown to him.

He’s not there yet, but sometimes people do change when their arses have been pummeled sufficiently.

At any rate, changed man or not, those certainly are nice gestures.

Maybe he is pissed about getting the boot. Maybe he is just after some publicity. Maybe he has really gotten a clue or seen the light or had an epiphany of some sort. Whatever!
I still don’t like the bastard and I don’t trust him at all. I’m wondering what’s in it for him? What does he gain by doing this? The man’s a snake and if you do business with him you better wear high boots and keep a sawed-off handy!
I look at him going after the AP the same as I do Hamas and Fatah fighting…with amusement. Now if only the AP would fire back!

Maxx I think you’re right. He’s got a chip on his shoulder and is acting on his grudge. Still, the eternal optimist in me hopes that maybe, just maybe, he’s found religion and is now a recovering “journalist”.

Hey, one can dream, can’t he?

If it wasn’t for the Dream-bone, there wouldn’t be much that the Butt-bone would get up and chase. /PBS>
