Yes, we know, but we just can’t help ourselves.

This is comedy GOLD!

UpInArms: wasn’t it Stalin that said: “It’s not who votes that counts, it’s who counts the votes.”?

We’re frankly surprised that a member of the Dhimmicratic Underachievers even has to ask that question. You better be careful about reading and memorizing the Masters or you’ll be sent to Re-education Camp.

Mithras61: Just exactly how “near” is this “near party line vote.” I want to know who crossed the party lines and in which direction. If any Dems are in the group that voted FOR Scalito, they need to pay (with their seat, preferably in the Primary, but would accept this November).

You’re damn right! Replacing those damn DINOs with Republicans is bound to teach them a valuable lesson! Preach it, sister!

hallc: looks like 4 crossed over to the dark side

Ben Nelson - Nebraska voted Yea
Kent Conrad - North Dakota voted Yea
Tim Johnson - South Dakota voted Yea
Robert C. Byrd - West Virginia voted Yea

And would KKK Byrd please cross right back over again? The stench is unbearable.

Javaman: I weep for our future…

Me too. Where the fuck are we going to find ROOM for all of those Dhimmicratic camp inmates?

Feeney2: So what is the earliest timetable for Roe v. Wade being overturned? Is there anything pending in the current session to make it happen?

Tomorrow morning, right after tea. And no, there isn’t. Get your coathangers ready.

JPace: I recently saw a t.v. interview of a physician who regularly performs abortions….he believed that if Alito were confirmed that Roe v Wade would be overturned within one year.

And, as we all know, the go-to person when looking for political insight and analysis would be a physician. Just like you’d go to your local mechanic for a quadruple bypass surgery.

InAbLuEsTaTe: It may be a dark day but the sun will shine again. I’m pissed as hell–maybe more than when the election was stolen from Gore–and I’m going to channel that anger into doing something about the sorry state of our Democratic party.

Just keep it up. It’s been six years since the “stolen” election and just look how much good all of that channeling had done for you. Can’t argue with success.

symbolman: I’m seriously thinking of starting a third party and strange as it may sound I want to call it the “Cool” Party. Coolers.

COOL is Not COLD.

No. NOOOO! Please don’t throw us into the briar patch and start a third party!

It is NOT COOL to starve old folks and children. It is NOT COOL to kill ANYONE.

…unless they’re unborn children, of course, in which case it’s terminally UNcool to suggest that we stop it.

It is NOT COOL to invade women’s bodies…

Send the Marines!

…or make their decisions for them. It is NOT COOL to have no health insurance for ALL americans.

Fine. Go buy them some, then. Oh, we forget. You can’t since you’re “sacrificing” your professional career to the urgent need to sit around in your mom’s basement being an Internet “activist.”

It is NOT COOL to start wars for no reason.

“Because you can” is a good reason.

Who doesn’t want to be COOL?

Er… We don’t?

I can’t support much of what the Green Party advocates and they have too much baggage, too vilified by the general public, not that I’m not cool with environmental stances, etc. SOME of what they espouse is Cool with me and most americans.

Such as?

[Crickets chirping…]

The platform is basically calling out everything that is not COOL with US. Get a new direction, a style, a way of thinking that everyone wants to be involved in.

Absolutely. The best way of getting everybody lining up to be a member is to declare that anybody not doing so is sooo unCOOL!

Of course if YOU are COOL then you are already a charter member

I’m not kidding

Of course you’re not.

That’s the best part.

I think this was the plan all along. Leave it up to the states where it belongs. If it ain’t written in the Constitution, the Federales have no jurisdiction over it.

They act like abortion is just going to disappear. It is just going to add the additional cost of a trip to either coast. Of course the coast states will make it so the Soon to be ExMother poor unfortunate child will be reimbursed for the expenses.

  15. Unregistered Comment by LC Wes, Imperial Mohel UNITED STATES

No. NOOOO! Please don’t throw us into the briar patch and start a third party!

Unfortunately, they won’t. It’s more likely that any serious attempt at a third-party candidacy will be made by Sen. John “The Manchurian Candidate” McCain, once he tries and fails to get the Republican presidential nomination in ‘08. When the Republican base soundly rejects him, he’ll fold his tent and leave, taking the moderates and RINOs with him. McCain will be the Ross Perot of the new millenium: he’ll split away enough of the Republican vote and the political center that the eventual Democrat nominee will end up winning.

I can’t see the Dems, even in their current disarray and angst, fragmenting so badly that they lose either to McCain or whoever makes it through the Republican primaries. I suspect that their collective case of Bush Derangement Syndrome will keep even most of the real :koolaid: drinkers home long enough to win the election.

  16. LCJackboot Comment by LCJackboot UNITED STATES

Nice take on the matter Wes. I agree, the test of the theory will be apparent come November. Without any clear “victory” in the lefty camp this close to election day (Rove, NSA losing traction, etc) and whatever remaining sensibilities the average Joe citizen dem voter had, destroyed by Kennedy, Kerry, Schmucky et al, over the Alito nomination, had will be a painful price. Consequently, this doesn’t portend well for the allegedly female half of the Klintoon Stooges either. The recent straw poll (not that I buy any of it) showing 51% NOT ready to vote Shillary into a Pennsylvania Avenue address destroys her triangulation approach. The old sage was right “When somebody is making a total idiot of themselves it’s best to just step out the way” is working nicely, I’d say.

Is he implying that the Senate vote was rigged? Damn that Ken Blackwell and his Diebold Senate Voting Board! If only they could find a liberal who could count to 100 to verify the vote.

On a more serious note, has anyone spotted a lefty finally remembering that Byrd is a former Kleagle? I won’t be at all surprised to see one argue that Byrd’s Alito vote was part of a Klan flashback. Wouldn’t it be great to see the DUmmies start playing the race card on their own?

If you were to write a sitcom about the stylings of todays Dem leaders, not even the rank and file yahoo’s, the actual leaders, it would be refused as being way too unrealistic.
