Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler » In The Meantime, The Idiotarian Mass Media Are Busy Feeling Scorned.

…further demonstrating to all of us that the only thing “journalists” deem important is, well, “journalists.”

As if the recent demonstration when Bob Woodruff was injured in Iraq wasn’t enough. Suddenly it was the coming of the End Times because well, you know, A MEMBER OF THE PRESS HAD BEEN INJURED! Screech! Howl! Ashcloth!

(Incidentally, on the issue of Bob Woodruff himself, I’m not a great fan of his, but he certainly has my respect for doing what 99.9% of our “intrepid” journalists wouldn’t dream of doing, which is closing the bar tab at the al-Rashid and going out to get the story where the story is actually going on. I wish him well and pray for his and his assistant’s speedy and full recovery.)

Rarely do you get a blatant display of journalistic narcissism as obvious as that.

I say “rarely”, but I may have to correct myself soon.

Because now the blowdried college dropouts of journalism “school” are circle-jerking each other into an orgasmic frenzy over the Dick Cheney hunting accident non-event. No, not over the fact that Dick Cheney, an avid hunter, were involved in a *GASP!* hunting accident (here’s a tip for those under-schooled morons in the media: Hunting, like any other sport, involves the occasional accident), but over the fact that THEY WERE NOT INFORMED IMMEDIATELY!

How outrageously rude is THAT? Not only weren’t they immediately informed, they actually had to do some *SHRIEK!* actual “reporting” to get the story, in this case picking up a copy of a local paper (I can almost imagine how soiled those media marvels must have felt at actually having to read one of those dreadful provincial broadsheets) and reading it.

Not that I’m entirely unsympathetic to their plight. They had to read, after all, and judging by their writing abilities that can’t be a task they look forward to when it occasionally rears its ugly head.

So that’s what the news is all about today. Forget about Iran, forget about radical Islamists running rampant in the streets over flipping cartoons, forget about al-Bore committing treason abroad, forget about all of that because, dontcha know, JOURNALISTS GOT SLIGHTED!

Slighted by having to dig up their “news” themselves as opposed to adding a few spins and twists to the newsfeeds they’re spoonfed in their offices.

Narcissistic nincompoops.

Not that we’re surprised. A hyperinflated ego and easily hurt feelings are a common malady in dropouts who never succeeded in landing a real job or education.

It just goes to prove that it’s a good thing we have journalism schools and mass media outlets.

After all, if we didn’t, what on Earth would we do with these morons?

They’re not mad that they weren’t informed. They’re upset about the lost time that they could’ve used to spin this into a Haliburton issue. The longer the persons on the periphery aren’t informed by the media that it was a Haliburton conspiracy, the fewer voices they have in their conspiracy chorus later on. :smirk:

So the media is basically upset because when Cheney accidentally shot his hunting buddy, nobody called them first?!

    :whatever:

…Via Michelle Malkin, here’s Mark Levin’s take on the whole thing, which pretty much sums up my reaction to it as well:

Cheney spent much of the weekend with his injured friend. He was very apologetic. So, he didn’t run to the media to issue a statement of some kind and the media didn’t find out until later. Who cares? I don’t. It’s not as if there’s some cover-up, or need for a cover-up. The local sheriff’s office has investigated and concluded it was an accident — which, of course, it was. And don’t give me “the public’s right to know.” Not from this media — which still refuses to publish those Danish cartoons. I’ll leave it to others to split hairs about who knew what and when, as I know they will, but I just don’t care.

    What he said.

So Bush 41 had a Vice President named Quayle who was a lawyer, and Bush 43 has a Vice President who shot a lawyer while aiming for quail. Spooky, eh?

Watching that press conference, I got an idea of what one of the Kossaks circle jerk “conventions” must be like. They are convinced that something nefarious was involved in them not finding out until the next morning!

The fact that by the time the guy was settled in at the Corpus Christi hospital it was probably roughly midnight local time, and everyone involved wanted to go to bed, and Cheney hates the Washington press corps’ guts and figured “fuck ‘em, they’ll find out soon enough,” is reason for those jackasses to go into Watergate mode?

They need a good peppering themselves, but with a bigger load, but not .28 birdshot from thirty yards. I’m think more along the lines of twelve guage streetsweeper grade from ten feet away.

Methinks the Press Corpse may have have a point on their heads here. It is obviously important for them to know immediately whenever something potentially embarassing happens to the current administration. Therefore a 24/7 close contact group policy should be implemented by Vice President Dick “Is That a Bird on Your Head?” Cheney.

The first assignments will obviously be to the Happy Buddy Bird Hunting List. After the assigned reporters have been shot rotated through, the survivors reporters will be asssigned to the Joyful Gutshot Antelope List. After that there’s the Zippy the Friendly Meathook Evisceration List.

    Predictable Right Wing Garbage
The second most powerful man in the world causes an accident on some aristocratic, overpriced, phony canned hunt and he waits over 12 hours before telling the rest of the world. He behaved the whole time like some arrogant aristocrat, not a public servant, while the Right Wing noise machine lined up to lick his ass and complain about the dreaded “MSM”. Sorry, regular guys like me go out on state land, or ask a local if we can hunt his land. We go out with 12 gauge pumps or 30 - 30’s, not some pussified, overpriced Euro 28 ga. shotgun. know all the hunting regs and bag limits, make sure he has not only the license, but back tags and any additional duck, doe or turkey stamps.. Regular guys think that vice president, upon assuming the job, gives up much of his private life, especially when he causes a near fatal accident, and has some moral obligation to tell us immediately. My guess is that they wanted to cover things up and get their stories right in their normal, sneaky way.

The reaction of the right wingers was predictable, callous and pretty. First they made jokes about shooting lawyers or acted as spraying people with birdshot was part of Texas culture, making them look like the callous hicks they are. Then the elderly victim has a heart attack so they toned that one down. Then, in their dodo ignorance, they tried to shift the blame to the victim, but even the NRA scotched that nonsense: he who pulls the trigger is 100% responsible. Then, predictably, they attacked the media coverage, trying to feed us that stale line that Cheney is a “victim of the media” martyr, as if the vice president was some private citizen who should be left alone. Already, we know that he broke one Texas hunting regulation, but that’s okay if you are so important and powerful like Cheney. Or they resurrected their fave bloody shirt of Ted Kennedy in Chapaquidick, which happened only 37 years ago. Later, White House flack McCllelland fed us the classic “let’s forget about this and focus on the war on terror or other problems”. Just like Cheney was doing last Saturday I guess. Then, his sneaky, cowardly way, the Vice President sneaks over to Fox News, where he could count on getting a blow job from Brit Hume and the rest of the suck-ups there.. That is par for his administration, which is run by cowards who expel Kerry supporters from campaign rallies and stage Soviet style events on Army bases, where the audience will cheer on cue. We are also supposed to pretend that the two of them are just ordinary guys, a simple cowboy and railroad man fighting the horrible media elite. Personally,.

I despise Cheney; he is a selfish, cold, spiteful prick who lacks not only compassion but basic humanity I don’t trust him at all and am suspicious of his selfish, greedy motives. Dunno, I could be wrong, maybe to be an ordinary guy, you are supposed to let our leaders act like tyrants and run roughshod over the law and the media, because they are on a mission from God.

OMG HE SHOULD HAVE CALLED THEY NYT not that pesky hospital where they were rushing his friend to. How dare he not give the press notice and made them read a small town newspaper. As opposed to you which the only thing you probally hunted for were your own boogers.

He behaved the whole time like some arrogant aristocrat

If you confuse rushing to the hospital with friend the same as Hillary clinton Using IRS to harass opponents…..

while the Right Wing noise machine lined up to lick his ass and complain about the dreaded “MSM”.

And as you suck Chavez’s Dick while Peanut farmer Carter Give you broke back up the rear, pretending the media is only fair, the left wingers once again called for Dick Cheny to resign, Guess you didn’t get your Fritzmas.

Sorry, regular guys like me go out on state land, or ask a local if we can hunt his land.

And what was he doing on a ranch in the first place? Doesn’t a ranch belong to a “local”. Oh and VP’s of the lone super power are not “normal guys” like I, unlike I they tend to be targets for assination.

We go out with 12 gauge pumps or 30 - 30’s, not some pussified, overpriced Euro 28 ga. shotgun.

And I suppose a .50 BMG is appropiate quail hunting weapon. sometimes its not the size that matters, like a .22lr on a goblin.

know all the hunting regs and bag limits, make sure he has not only the license, but back tags and any additional duck, doe or turkey stamps..

Only thing you hunted for was either Porn or boogers.

My guess is that they wanted to cover things up and get their stories right in their normal, sneaky way.

So when you get into an accident I should call the Eyewitness news right, hope your not bleeding badly. Dipshit, I think cheny was busy with I dunno getting to hospital then calling the press corps. And quite frankly He does deserve private time when he is on vacation.

And Yes the Evil Conspiracy theroy, yes we of the VRWC, planned it all. We plan to take michael moore hunting next!

First they made jokes about shooting lawyers or acted as spraying people with birdshot was part of Texas culture, making them look like the callous hicks they are.

Since when was Letterman or Leno Conservatives? And IIRC the first jokes were by people like Al Franklin of air America- Liberal outlets!

And we see you “superiorty” by calling texans Hicks like the Elite Lib you are, If I were you I’d stay out pof the south.

Soviet style events on Army bases, where the audience will cheer on cue.

Hey Dipshit take a look at this

The picture shows that this soldier has been through Survival School and learned his lessons well. He’s giving the sign of “coercion” with his left hand. These hand signs are taught in survival school to be used by POW’s as a method of posing messages back to our intelligence services who may view the photo or video. This guy was obviously being coerced into shaking hands with Hillary Clinton. It’s ironic how little she knew that he would so inform us about the photo—perhaps because she’s never understood our military to begin with.

Now Thats Stalinst properganda- for the Dems!

And Jonsey- your not an ordinary guy, your nothing more than another self absorbed booger eating dipshit.

Much as I hate introducing a troll to logic, here goes:
    1. If you ’caused’ it, it wasn’t an ‘accident’. Accidents happen as a result of factors beyond the control of those involved. Cheney has been hunting for years. If he intended to shoot his LONGTIME FRIEND, I’m sure he would have had NO PROBLEM doing a better job of it, assmunch.

    2. I want my leaders to take vactions. If they have no time to decompress from their duties, which are far more taxing than your ‘deep’ pontificating on how “Cheney is EVVIILL-let me count the ways.”, they WILL make mistakes. Especially when we are at war. A person who isn’t stressed out will make better decisions. If your brain served a better purpose than simply preventing your skull from imploding, you might understand that.

    3. Accompanying your friend to the hospital, and letting the host and land owner handle the intial disclosure is the responsible thing. The sheriff was called within 15 minutes. That makes sense. HE should know. On the other hand, his Freind’s medical condition was far from certain. Rather than lauching a storm of conjecture by our sainted and sanctimonius media, he waited until there was more to know.

    4. No matter what press outlet he spoke to, it wouldn’t be enough for the people who are the most ‘disturbed’ by this. There was no reason for him to expose himself to the agressively stupid questions at other outlets.

    5. There are REAL stories which are being studiously ingnored by the MSM. Al Je-Gora’s recent seditious speech in Saudi Arabia on the Bin-Ladin family’s dime comes to mind.

In closing, if you are capable of doing anything other than repeating the DNC’s talking points, with a little, I/ME/Average Guy window dressing, welcome. If you are nothing but a left-leaning troll looking for some attention, well, you might gets some here, but if you think you’ll ever successfully score a point, well…good luck with that.
