If Standards Are Good, Double Standards Must Be TWICE As Good.

Much has been said about whether or not the MSM are nutless cowards because of their stubborn refusal to publish the Mohammed cartoons. They’ll talk about the story, alright, but they won’t show anybody what the whole fuss is actually about.
Why anybody would waste time arguing that the MSM have any testicular fortitude at all is beyond us, since it’s pretty much established fact and has been for some time that they haven’t.
Oh sure, they’re just being “sensitive toward the religious beliefs of others”, just like they were being ever so sensitive toward the religious beliefs of Christians when they published pictures of crucifixes in urine and elephant-dung Madonnas. Not that we object to their right to publish the latter, as a matter of fact their argument that the images were part of the story and that we live in a country where expression is free was perfectly valid and one that His Majesty fully supports, even though the artifacts depicted did piss him off. But that’s how free speech works. It’s perfectly logically consistent to disagree vehemently with speech while still supporting the right of the publisher to publish it.
Of course, unlike the raging ragheads, His Majesty didn’t threaten to kill the publishers, burn down their offices and boycott every product coming from the State in which they reside. Perchance that has something to do with the glaring inconsistency in the standards they’re employing?
Nah, they were just trying nobly not to inflame the poor, easily inflamed goathumpers, right?
If that is so, then how come they have no problem with starting riots by publishing fake, uncorroborated stories about flushed Korans or, lately, even more pictures from Abu Ghraib?
LC & IB Jay of Stop the ACLU is having trouble making that add up too.
Of course, anybody not having trouble making sense of that shouldn’t be let near pointed objects and shouldn’t wander the public square without handlers.
They’re not in the least bit “sensitive to foreign cultures” or “afraid of making muslims angry.”
They’re deadly afraid of making muslims angry at them, that’s what.

Hit this one right on the head your majesty…Christianity is fair game of course. Being one of those eeeevil Christians myself, I actually give it my best shot to PRAY for the people who offend me and my religion. I try to stay on that narrow path to Heaven, the path that’s not easy all the time. As for Islam, seems like the wide road is the one that has the most wear and tear. It’s much easier to be angry than it is to pray for your ‘enemy’.

I know it is hurting them here in this part of Florida because I get called by three different local Newspapers trying to get me to take home delivery and gives me promises of discounts. I refuse and tell them that until they change their editorial policy from socialism to at least unbiased reporting I will continue to boycott them.

I don’t recall what website I was reading recently but it was a leftist rag explaining why it wouldn’t show the cartoons lampooning Mohammad and the jihadists but in the upper left hand corner THEY DID SHOW that despicable “leftist masterpiece” of the Virgin Mary with dung smeared all over her.

And when Rudy Guliani tried to withhold funding for the Dung Madonna, he got slapped down because it interfered with the artist’s First Amendment “rights”. So, in other words, not only does the artist have the right to make a blasphemous painting, the government must pay for it.

I am coming in late on this one, but what kills me over the MSM “blackout” on the Mohammed cartoons is how we all know that the MSM feels no qualms publishing anything offensive to Christians or Jews. In fact the MSM goes out of its way to be offensive to Christians and Jews, if all the sex and violence on TV and in the media is any indicator. How many American Christians are offended by Brokeback Mountain? Has the MSM made any effort to pander to the sensibilities of the vast majority of Americans who find the premise and content of Brokeback to be offensive?
We all know the answer. Just another plain and clear demonstration of the two-faced hypocrisy at the heart of the “neutral” MSM who scream bloody murder any time even mentioned the letters B-I-A-S.

If I had my way ¾ of the “news” media would be shut down and the vast majority of “journalists” would be exiled or incarcerated in Gitmo [with no prayer rugs or chicken & rice pilaf like our spoiled jihadis get].
It’s amazing how these yellow-backed “journalists” and media outlets have no problem showing more Abu Gharib photos which they hope will enflame Muslim passions but simultaneously refuse to publish the lampooning cartoons because they don’t want to anger Muslims. [Liberalism is a mental disorder]. The reason they are willing to anger Muslims with the Abu Gharib photos is because the anger will be aimed at our military, or so they hope. Publishing the cartoons would direct Muslim anger at the “journalists” so they hide like little bitches and censor themselves crying “we care about Muslim sensibilities!”
Now we have 12 hours of declassified tapes regarding Saddamy and WMD’s coming out and there are some proactive statements by Saddamy on them. He speaks of WMD’s and predicting that there will be terrorism on America’s soil. Also, one of Saddamy’s two-star General’s has recently come out [publicly] and spoke about the WMD materials, which Iraq did have and were shuttled to Syria by plane and by truck. He mentioned 56 sorties were flown, two a day continuously, in a gutted out 747 [I believe it was a 747]. And trucks driven into Syria transported the remainder of equipment used for the manufacturing of the chemical/biological weapons. This validates Israeli intelligence information regarding the caravan they reported was pouring into Syria. Also reports have circulated for over 3 years that Assad in Syria was paid $30 million to take the “cargo”.
But none of this matters. What matters is that Cheney accidentally shot someone. THIS is the big story as far as our dimwitted yellow-backed journalists are concerned. Fuck ‘em.
