Peggy Noonan says it like it is.

Read it all.

Just one thing:

No one wants to say, “They should have killed him.” This is understandable, for no one wants to be called vengeful, angry or, far worse, unenlightened.

We assume that Mrs. Noonan is being sarcastic here.

We have absolutely no problem being called “vengeful”, “angry” or “unenlightened”, to a large extent because we know exactly which kind of people are likely to utter such “slurs”, and their opinions of our angry self matter less to us than the average temperature inside a naked mole rat’s colon.

Not only are we perfectly ready and willing to say “they should have killed the subhuman sack of rodent fecal matter”, we’d consider it a great honor and privilege to be in charge of the extermination of the pest. Not only would we not lose a second’s worth of sleep as a result of dispatching that thing to Hell where it belongs, we’d actually sleep better, knowing that he’d no longer be wasting precious oxygen.

Our one and only reservation with respect to being the executioner of that Islamofascist perversion of biology is that we’re afraid that we might enjoy it too much.

But we’d be willing to take that risk.

Thatisall.

I’m not worried. In the SuperMax prison they’re sending him to, there’s enough Neo-Nazis, supremacists, and Mafia Members to ensure “prison justice” will be carried out at some point in the near future.

    And, First.

The simple truth is, this piece of excrement did not belong in a civilian court of law. As Hugh Hewitt said yesterday, the liberals love giving civil rights to terrorists.

Oh how I wish we would never hear about Moussaoui, ever again.

Oh now Eric, I want to hear about him at least one more time, when he’s DEAD.

I just thought of something. If we ask one of the Neo-Nazis, think he might give a discount for taking the garbage out? Not advocating it, y’know. To quote His Majesty, “Just sayin’ ’s all.”

If he was executed, he’d get his raisins.

Now, the only raisin he’ll be getting is from Bubba in the showers.

I ‘d have preferred to see him fry, but I really do think there is some’pin to the notion of ‘that’s what he wanted’… anyway, if it wasn’t what he wanted at trial, after a few months in the concrete he’ll wish he’d bought it.

The one reservation I have about this is a lack of total, iron-clad trust in the ability of the system to keep him locked up.

    Deckchair,

I think he showers (and does everything else, cept for one hour a day), in solitary. That’s what they’re sayin’, anyway.

I heard on Fox and Friends that he would not be in general population, no visits, nothing. He will sit in his cell for 23 hours a day and if the guards deem if “safe” for him, he will be allowed 1 hour of time outside the cell in handcuffs and shackles. The guy talking about this also stated that he won’t have TV. I’m sure the bleeding heart fucktards will demand he be allowed access to a cleric. I hope he falls slowly into insanity and ends up in a straight jacket in a padded room, pissing on himself and drooling. Now that would be an awesome propaganda picture.

I’m with Trooper here. At first I was pissed, but then I remembered Dahmer. Legal executions metered out in death sentences would be too humane. The alternatives seem more fitting. And you can imagine the 10 or so years this idiot invades our TV screens during the appeal process.

They should have killed him. Now, wasn’t THAT easy?

And by the way, if you have a chance catch “The Big House” on the Discovery Channel. No Ramada Inn for this guy…the only thing worse would be drug-induced suspended animation while remainng conscious (like I saw in some long-forgotten science fiction movie).

    LC Theresa,

Gotta admit, I love the image. Personally, I think the all-pork diet should be part of the package, too.

That said, Noonan is wrong. In the United States of America, we don’t execute people for what they wanted to do. Moussaoui is a wannabe. What about Ramzi Yousef? What about the guy who helped blow up the Cole? THOSE are people in US custody who actually participated in actions that killed Americans. Are they still trickling out information so that the CIA has a standing “Don’t kill them yet” stamp on their file?

But for those who agree with Peggy and think Moussaoui should have been executed - what about everyone who wanted to take out President Clinton, or Bush for that matter? I’m certain their are people who read this blog that have had serious thoughts in that direction, or who know people that have. Some of those have even talked it over in not-entirely-speculative terms, too. Should they be on Death Row, too?

We’ve fought wars to have a system of laws for ourselves. Those laws are not trivial, they are not come by easily and serious people spend their whole lives trying to make them as just and as fair as can be. And, like all human endeavor, there are mistakes, distortions and the occasional outrage. But it’s what we have and it’s the best in the history of the world. By a lot.

Americans are justly proud of a system that is put in place - not that it always does, but it mostly does - to level the playing field. That all laws apply equally to all. We can’t have a seperate set of laws for People Who Want To Kill Us - or we become those who hate us. For every OJ farce there are a thousand where bad guys get what they deserve. And yes, we need an appeals system, too - because eyewitnesses make mistakes all the time, police officers get caught up and…enhance things all the time.

That said, I do like the image of a mumbling, drooling, pork-fed Moussaoui in his straightjacket and padded cell. Way more fun than Just Another Dead Islamist Wack-job.

He was part of a conspiracy to kill people! The plan was carried out and eventhough he was unable to participate in the plan, he withheld the info from authorities that could’ve prevented the murder of 3000 people. He is just as guilty of those murders as the vermin who flew the planes! That’s not my opinion, that’s the law!
What this mutt wanted should have had no impact on the jury. His bad childhood didnot force him to become the scum he is. We are responsible for our actions! I hope those 12 jurors come to the realization they screwed up when they could’ve sent a message that it is not ok to kill Americans, that killing Americans will get you dead!

Not to put too fine of a point on it, but there’s a slight difference between a BDS-suffering Kos-Kiddie sitting in his mom’s basement, sticking needles in his Bush voodoo doll and crying his eyes out over Election 2000 and an active member of a terrorist cell involved in an active conspiracy that led to the deaths of 3,000 innocents and started a war, somebody who deliberately chose NOT to help avert it by telling the FBI, in whose custody he was, what he knew.

Shorter version: You’re either dumber than a broiled mollusc or you’re deliberately trying to convince us that you are.

Flaming Liberal, I take it you are not familiar with the crime of “conspiracy”. If someone conspires to murder thousands of people but is not an active participant in carrying out the action is not spared for not participating. He/she can be charged as if they had actually pulled the trigger. The only reason Charles Manson [exclude his cohorts for the moment] wasn’t executed is because at the time the state he was in [I believe California] had banned capital punishment.

As far as Ramzi Yousef he should be swinging from a telephone pole by his neck.

But for those who agree with Peggy and think Moussaoui should have been executed - what about everyone who wanted to take out President Clinton, or Bush for that matter? I’m certain their are people who read this blog that have had serious thoughts in that direction, or who know people that have.

Don’t confuse our rhetoric against Bush, or Clinton for that matter, as an act to commit violence against them…..Moussaoui on the other hand……..

We’ve fought wars to have a system of laws for ourselves.

That’s right. OURSELVES. But sniveling liberal agitprop peddlers want to extend OUR rights to foreign criminals and combatants.

We can’t have a seperate set of laws for People Who Want To Kill Us - or we become those who hate us.

Spoken like a yellow bellied limp-wristed communist. Would you consider us just like the nazis since we hunted and killed them? Are you so morally confused? We are OBLIGATED to kill those that want to murder our women and children indiscriminately. But it seems this concept is foreign to you. If our country were made up of Americans with your perspective during WWII we would all be speaking German now.

I prefer the dead jihadi. It’s cheaper. Of course if you liberals are so eager to keep this diseased reptile alive maybe you should pay for it yourselves? You guys love taxes, how about we tax liberals 80%? Just think of all the inefficient programs that would fund.

It’s not like his future is better now that he’s allowed to live in a box for 23 hours a day, anyone with a brain would choose death over that. It’s the fact that the taxpayer has to foot the bill for him that’s wrong here. Maybe that cocksucker he calls a god will help him with a little suicide solution after about 3 days. It’s a real shame he won’t be accessible by the general population. I hope one of the prison guards is a member of this site. I’d be renting L’il Zack’s rectum out to horses all day.

I have no problem with Moussaui going to a Supermax facility. However, I disagree with them putting him in a cell; they should put him in a block of concrete in the walls.

Apparently there were some on the jury who wanted the death penalty, but because the entire jury couldn’t reach a desicion about it, the judge gave him life.

But video of him being eaten to death by boars broadcast live on al-Jazeera would’ve been nice.
