The Heat Hits Miami, Burns Local Jihadis

…and LC & IB Jay of Stop the ACLU is all over it, as is LC & IB Allahpundit on Hot Air.
Not much that His Rottieness can add to those excellent posts, other than a few observations about the media coverage that are neither new nor particularly surprising.
As the story broke earlier today, the first words out of the mouthes of the journaljizzmers were repeated statements that it didn’t seem to have anything to do with the Religion of Pus. No surprise there. See: Mohammed and Malvo, the Middle-Aged White Supremacists That Weren’t™, for one further example. Just a bunch of local guys and some dude from Haiti.
Then it turned out that the local guys were, indeed, members of the Religion of Blowing up Children and Other Innocents in the Name of the Moon God™. That’s one leak from an “unnamed government official” that the MSM weren’t too happy about, we’re willing to bet.
Falling back on the last trench, the AP are now stating that “they didn’t have any connections to al-Qaeda” which, technically speaking, is true. The “al-Qaeda contact” they were trying to hook up with in order to blow up the Sears Tower was, after all, not really al-Qaeda but instead FBI.
But I don’t think it’ll be hard to demonstrate intent, do you?
No, there’s no terrorist threat. Go back to sleep, America, while the MSM sings you a sweet lullaby about unicorns dancing in the meadows under the rainbows.

Homegrown Terror Bust — UPDATED…
UPDATE: Slip of the tongue? A friend of one of the suspected terrorists was interviewed by CNN. He was a bit hard to understand, though he made it sound like his friend, the suspected terrorist, was approached by some guys…

June 22nd, 2006 at 10:02 pmAfter an operation that started about four months ago, the FBI has arrested several suspects of domestic terrorism in a Miami low-income housing project.
The arrests took place Thursday afternoon at the Scott Housing Projects in the area of …
mmmmmmmm.
I love the smell of napalmed jihadis in the morning.
June 22nd, 2006 at 10:27 pmI wonder how the MSM would react to say, the destruction of a major newspapers headquarters? Or a network facility? Naaah…never happen, they’re on the same side, I forgot.
June 22nd, 2006 at 10:27 pmDNC to MSM: Open the floodgates, start talking about smoke curtains, suspicious timing (and link it to whatever republican “scandal”, actual or not), release new polls about the new all times low for Bush, DO NOT MENTION FOUND WMDs, buy Sheehan a couple air tickets to North Korea and provide TV coverage for meetings with leaders while bashing Bush, talk about shutting down Gitmo for holding men caught killing Americans, never brought to justice and treated like criminals, in the most degrading and inhumane conditions (like 75 degrees A/C cells),talk about Marines, accused by unidentified witnesses of killing someone and celebrating the fact that they’re on shackles in some base’s dungeon awaiting execution, although never brought to justice, talk about border vigilantes, interview Nagin, talk about UN regulating internet and firearms worldwide, talk about global warming (1 degree in 100 years, OMG!), talk about dependency on foreign oil, talk about not drilling in AK or refining in the US…
June 22nd, 2006 at 11:27 pmNow, did I lie? Just watch the news.
Well the Confederate Yankee notes that raving moonbats at the DU have the following: Democratic Underground: Miami Terror Raid Keeps the Black Man Down…
The Futurist noted: Patriot Act Renewed by 89-11 Senate Vote. People with Common Sense are Not Surprised…
I for one am also glad the Patriot Act was renewed…
Can’t a smart Justice Department lawyer find clauses in this bill to indict outfits like the New York Times and so forth who are inhibiting the war against terrorism to make them accountable for their collective actions?
June 23rd, 2006 at 5:20 amOn Fox & Friends First, this morning, Judge Napolitano said that “more than one hundred of those at being held at Guantanamo Bay had visited the U.S. within the year prior [to their being incarcerated].”
But, no, certainly it wouldn’t have been possible for any one of those “hundred” or so detainees – who visited “us” – to have had contact with any of the six in Miami and the guy in Atlanta. Preposterous – perish the thought. The seven just arrested are not Al Queda… And Miami has had no prior ties to Al Queda… But for Mohammed Atta and a bunch of his co-horts who trained there!
From CNN:
I’m not overly familiar with the intricacies of the Religion of Pus but the little I’ve read certainly wouldn’t give me the impression that it would be amenable to “blending” ANY other religion with it.
Why wasn’t Brother Corey arrested? And the group of “soldiers in Chicago” as well? We can be certain that any connection to the fact that the Sears Tower and a few “soldiers” are both in Chicago is merely coincidental…
June 23rd, 2006 at 6:16 amNeighboring Miami Terrorists Arrested Right Here…
Right here in my backyard basically, in Miami, here in south Florida, more Islamic terrorists, homegrown or not, seven arrested in a raid. We had several of the 9/11 hijackers residing and training here including the Al-Qaeda’s ringleader Moham ……..
