…the program we had going with SWIFT, the one that, according to every liberal talking turnip in the country, every single soul in the world already knew about because SWIFT itself was mentioned in paragraph 31 of an obscure UNSC report from 2002, comes as news to the Belgian government, which is somewhat strange, considering that SWIFT is regulated by a Belgian bank and falls under Belgian jurisdiction.

As a result, SWIFT will now be the subject of a Belgian government investigation.

Strange, considering that even single-celled lifeforms on beta Cygni were allegedly aware of the program, isn’t it?

But remember:

1) The program was already known to everybody, which means that disclosing it didn’t and wouldn’t do any harm. Ever.

2) The program had to be disclosed because it was yet another textbook example of the secretive and un-Constitutional behavior of the BusHitler Regime (that everybody already knew about, which again is why the details were classified).

3) If you can reconcile 1) and 2) above without smoke coming out of your ears as a result of your logical circuits shutting down and committing ritual suicide, you’re probably a liberal and are thus not in possession of logic in the first place.

    So let’s see…Between the Democrats in Washington and the media (if they’re not one and the same entity; I have my doubts) our global allies have been rewarded with little beyond a string of embarassments for cooperating with America in the War on Terror.

    For instance, the press embarassed our British allies with the trumped-up “Downing Street memo,” and by falsely discrediting the reports of British intelligence that Saddam’s agents were trying to obtain uranium from Niger; a report that the Brits still insist is true.

    They’ve humiliated other European allies with reports (that might not even be true) of secret CIA interrogation facilities on their soil, creating a major diplomatic scandal in the process.

    They’ve now revealed a secret surveillance program of the international financial markets undertaken by the US and at least some of our European allies…an act which, in the short term at least, will mean not only the death of this particular peogram, but will likely result in less cooperation being offered to us in future operations. And created another major diplomatic scandal in the bargain.

    Crank into all that the contempt expressed by top Democratic leaders for the actions of some of our allies in the war - remember Kerry’s “coalition of the coerced and the bribed” remark, and his description of Iraqi PM Allawi as an “American puppet?” - and I’m frankly amazed that we have any allies left…

    Oh, and the best part of all this? By the time the various European governments have finished the various investigations into SWIFT…it probably won’t even be possible to conduct any sort of surveillance of international financial transactions. Especially if a Muslim might be involved.

    When Al Qaeda finally manages to smuggle a backpack nuke or dirty bomb into Manhattan…I hope they set the fucker off right in front of the New York Times’ offices. I’m not too familiar with New York geography, but isn’t the Times‘ headquarters on 43rd Street just a block or so from Times Square? Hell, that’s maybe half a kiloton away…

    Careful, Wes. People might mistake you for Ann Coulter with that kind of talk! ;) Not that they don’t deserve every word you just said… but better hope you never become a famous conservative author or even Fox News lunatics will be asking if you “meant it that way”… to say nothing of what the true lunatics will say… barf!

    I realized earlier today (well, yesterday now) that the libtards are actually right about something. No no now don’t have a heart attack, they are right about ONE single solitary thing. There ARE two Americas, and there is a VAST divide between the two. They problem is they mistake the divisor. They think it is money, but they are wrong. The true divisor of one America from the other is the quantity of functional brain cells one possesses.

    For those who didn’t quite understand what I meant… the vast majority of one America (the dhimmicrats) are about 5 functional brain cells short of a three-cell brain… and the other side has at least a few thousand even in the stupidest of the lot.

    Closer to home there is a potential scandal brewing at Yale over what’s happening to about $45 million taxpayer dollars given over to research grants

    Since just about everyone knows about this, is this reason the New York Whining-Swine didn’t give it front page coverage?

    It wont help the enemy, thats why.

    The press claims that the Bush administration is the most secretive since Nixon. With what the slimes keeps printing, I think they have good reason to be secretive.

    Silly Wabbit, that’s the living expenses for Yale’s Most Famous Student: Sayed Rahmatullah Hashemi.

    The “Haven” was pretty thin on goat herds (there was a recent herd migration to parts unknown) but now they have to import them , hey that’s expensive and we all know how strong those male university student sex hormones are. C’mon we gotta be sensitive to “alternate lifestyles” especially at Moonbat Central U.

    It did and I can’t get the circuit breakers to reset. You’ll get the bill for my neurologic-electrician.

    I caught a piece on the news the other day and that nutcase editor for the NYT (his name is unimportant here since he represents the idiocy of the NYT) actually said that releasing the information was necessary to demonstrate the problem the Bush administration has in keeping national secrets. That’s what I call 2 dimensional spin, a new high has been attained by the left. Spin on spin.

    OK, here you go: Somebody with a nasty sense of humor is auctioning off an alleged thank-you card from Osama bin Laden to New York Times editor Bill Keller on e-Bay.

    Both the inscription on the card and the product description are hilarious…and the questions to the seller from prospective buyers are pretty good, too…

    :lol:

    I ran across this on lgf last night

    http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/183808.php

    Because the American people clearly have a right and need to know about the movements of dangerous individuals who would cavalierly, and even maliciously, endanger their security, suppose I were to post that Bill Keller (below), executive editor/chief apologist for The New York Times, who lives in the same apartment building that John Lennon and Yoko Ono did - The Dakota, enters a company-provided limousine in front of the building every morning promptly at 9:00 to make the trip to work;

    And that James Risen, reporter/apologist, invariably catches a cab to work each day at 72nd and Broadway;

    And that Eric Lichtblau, reporter/apologist, takes the 7:48 commuter train from Spuyten Duyvil…

    …would that make them understand the need for keeping certain data confidential?

    Duty, Honor, Country
    (in THAT order)
