Via LC & IB Robert Spencer:

Israeli excavations near the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem sparked angry reactions on Monday from Egyptian parliament members, including one who said only a nuclear bomb could stop Israel.

The excavations, which aim to salvage artefacts before construction of a pedestrian bridge leading to the complex also sacred to Jews, have angered many Muslims who fear the work will harm the foundations of al-Aqsa mosque. Israel says the holy places will not be harmed.

“That cursed Israel is trying to destroy al-Aqsa mosque,” Mohammed el-Katatny of President Hosni Mubarak’s National Democratic Party (NDP) told a heated parliament session held to discuss the Israeli digging.

“Nothing will work with Israel except for a nuclear bomb that wipes it out of existence,” he said.

Good to see that we’re getting our money’s worth for the $2,000,000,000/year of U.S. taxpayer funds that we’re paying in jizya to Egypt, isn’t it?

Elsewhere in the inflamed rectum of humanity known as the Middle East:

Hamas movement spokesman, Mushir Al-Masri, said: “Hamas remains as it is: following its principles. It did not retreat, but advanced forward.” He confirmed that it will not recognize Israel, will not abandon the resistance [i.e. terror] and will not discard its principles.” He further said: “The Hamas [that existed] prior to the government, is Hamas of the government. Hamas prior to the unity [government] is Hamas after the unity.”

Looks like we’re getting just about the same return on investment on the taxpayer funds that DC is handing out like candy in the Paleswinian terrortories.

Al-Aqsa tried to share a claim on the suicide bomber that struck the bakery in Eilat.

Will they share the consequences?

An Israeli military source said: “a force identified two gunmen and fired at them during an operation in Nablus.”

Local residents said the two belonged to the military wing of the militant group Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.

Now they belong to the dirt… let’s fill in Al-Aqsa as well as Fateh, the terrorist group that Al-Aqsa is a wholly-owned subsidiary terrorist group of:

It’s taken 25 days for the IDF to waste a Paleostinian Terrorist in 2007.

I guess the Paleos were hucking rocks at each others’ caves and the IDF didn’t want to get caught in the paleolithic crossfire.

Well, it’s time to fill in a square:

Witnesses said the Israeli forces shot dead 17-year-old Fadel Balawneh, described by Palestinian security sources as a member of Islamic Jihad, as he tried to run away from a building which the army was surrounding.

The Israeli army declined to comment.

Too busy ordering the cake and renting the dance hall, right?

Let’s mark off Islamic Jihad, kiddies:

Pali Bingo

Who’s next?

Stay tuned… and when there’s five in a row, get ready to break out the pizzas!

Dipping further into insanity, the Palis grab some Frenchmen:

Palestinian militants said on Tuesday they seized three Westerners in the West Bank city of Nablus.

A spokesman for al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, part of President Mahmoud Abbas’s faction, said one of the men was a French diplomat and that he was accompanied by two bodyguards.

Weapons carried by the bodyguards initially raised suspicions the men were undercover Israeli soldiers, the spokesman said, adding that all three were likely to be released shortly.

Because not even a hardened Palestinian murderer can stand the stench of a French diplomat and his bodyguards for more than a few hours, especially when kept in a small confined space.

(Slight Imperial Update, courtesy of the lovely LC & IB SondraK).

Apparently, Palestinians love to dress up like other cultures so they can pretend they haven’t warped themselves into a Jew-killing deathcult.
