I suppose the Emperor with all the palace transfer woes, forgot the change in Imperial Staff™ working hours. Or at least in my case, an early morning visit for some medieval dental surgery, followed by a few hours of drooling as the Novocaine from Hell wore off, I’m back at work now.

US Slipping In Life Expectancy Rankings

Ahhh, a pitch for Mickey Mastodon’s latest crockumentary, SicKo. Well let’s read on…….

Americans are living longer than ever, but not as long as people in 41 other countries.

Just one more reason to pack the old kit bag and move to anyplace other than here in “The Two Americas”. Of course our wonderful Rottie readers immediately know what’s coming in a sentence or two, right?

For decades, the United States has been slipping in international rankings of life expectancy, as other countries improve health care, nutrition and lifestyles.[Emph Mine-It’s a teaser]

Countries that surpass the U.S. include Japan and most of Europe, as well as Jordan, Guam and the Cayman Islands.

“Something’s wrong here when one of the richest countries in the world, the one that spends the most on health care, is not able to keep up with other countries,” said Dr. Christopher Murray, head of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington.

Ahh the wonderful Cayman Island health care system that I’ve seen in person, fortunately not as a patient. As I recall it was a cinder-block, one-room shack with a window air-conditioner. The waiting room was spacious and had a distinctively open-air feeling about it. Call it Waiting Room Al Fresco. Dr. Murray, giving head for the ’cause’ of free health care for all.

A baby born in the United States in 2004 will live an average of 77.9 years. That life expectancy ranks 42nd, down from 11th two decades earlier, according to international numbers provided by the Census Bureau and domestic numbers from the National Center for Health Statistics.

2004? Unless, I accidentally triggered one of the sekret Rott Admin Backstage Buttons, I do recall it’s 2007. Smell Factor up another notch.

Andorra, a tiny country in the Pyrenees mountains between France and Spain, had the longest life expectancy, at 83.5 years, according to the Census Bureau. It was followed by Japan, Macau, San Marino and Singapore.

Taking a page out of the James Hansen, school of statistical gerrymandering, Murray finds a sufficiently small sample populace to show the ‘horror of it all’ as the U.S. keeps slipping away to sing with the bleedin’ choir invisible.

The shortest life expectancies were clustered in Sub-Saharan Africa, a region that has been hit hard by an epidemic of HIV and AIDS, as well as famine and civil strife. Swaziland has the shortest, at 34.1 years, followed by Zambia, Angola, Liberia and Zimbabwe.

Civil Strife? Oh you mean genocide don’t you? That does tend to decrease a given population’s life expectancy. Maybe you need to pluck another dingleberry out to impress us with your shameless socialist promotion.

Yes, we know, it’s like putting up a headline saying “Sun Rises In East, Film At Eleven”, but it’s nevertheless necessary to put it out there before the Marxist rag manages to ensconce their lies firmly in the minds of the public.

Full story at LC & IB Blackfive who, unlike The New Peepul’s Republik, can actually be arsed to do some research on a subject.

Oh, and while we’re on the subject of The New Republic, we already knew what to think about that poor man’s version of Pravda when we first saw their covers many years ago, so it’s not like we’re surprised:

Now, this kind of imagery may not be all that familiar to most of you, so the particular style may not ring any bells, but His Imperial Majesty hasn’t seen propaganda art this primitive and boiler plate since he was studying Soviet agitprop as part of his government-sponsored, er, education back in the 80s.

Except the Soviets were better at it. Much better.

Remulak MoxArgon exposes, and then thoroughly shreds, the *coughbullshitcough* “open-mindedness” *coughbullshitcough* of a Marxist fucknozzle, one “Komrade Michael T. Eckhart”, pRresident of the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE), towards a fellow Ivy Leaguer who doesn’t subscribe to The Great GlowBull Worming Scam™, one Marlo Lewis.

Marlo –

You are so full of crap.

You have been proven wrong. The entire world has proven you wrong. You are the last guy on Earth to get it. Take this warning from me, Marlo. It is my intention to destroy your career as a liar. If you produce one more editorial against climate change, I will launch a campaign against your professional integrity. I will call you a liar and charlatan to the Harvard community of which you and I are members. I will call you out as a man who has been bought by Corporate America. Go ahead, guy. Take me on.

Mike

Michael T. Eckhart
President
American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE)

Apparently Komrade Eckhart didn’t learn, during his years of cock swallowing behind the ivy-encrusted walls, that us Eeeeevil VRWC Kapitalists™ don’t take too kindly to threats. ESPECIALLY threats from a limp-wristed, mewling Licker of Lenin’s Left Testicle™, who just happened to have the tonsil capacity to fellate his way through an Ivy League school, instead of the once-required mental capacity to grok more than one variable of a multi-faceted, non-static, open energy system.

Go read Remulak’s ruthless bitchslapping of Komrade Eckhart and, by proxy, the entire Stoopid Side of the Idiotarian Parallel Universal Divide™.

…it’s looks like the current residents of Rhodesia aren’t all that thrilled with their People Powered Politics anymore:

ZIMBABWE’S leading cleric has called on Britain to invade the country and topple President Robert Mugabe. Pius Ncube, the Archbishop of Bulawayo, warned that millions were facing death from famine, unable to survive amid inflation believed to have soared to 15,000%.

Mugabe, 83, had proved intransigent despite the “massive risk to life”, said Ncube, the head of Zimbabwe’s 1m Catholics. “I think it is justified for Britain to raid Zimbabwe and remove Mugabe,” he said. “We should do it ourselves but there’s too much fear. I’m ready to lead the people, guns blazing, but the people are not ready.”

Some parts of Zimbabwe have seen 95% of crops fail, leaving families with only two or three weeks’ food supply to last a year. Prices in the shops are more than doubling every week and Christopher Dell, the American ambassador, predicts that by the end of the year inflation could hit 1.5m%.

I’m with LC & IB Bill here.

Obviously, I can’t speak for Britain or what she decides to do, but if you were asking me, Pius, I’d tell you to go pound some Marxist sand.

Where were you when you were all googoo eyed over Bobby Mugabe and his ZANU thugs? Where were you when he stormed into dictatorship with the support of the people? Where were you when his North Korea-trained goons were committing genocide in Matabeleland? Where were you when his “veterans” were massacring farm owners in their beds, living rooms and bathtubs, stealing their properties for themselves and Bobby Mugabe, destroying the agriculture of your country and crippling the economy?

So now, after decades of supporting a simple-minded Marxist dog promising “power to the people” while delivering nothing other than what his ilk have ALWAYS delivered, namely death, famine, suffering, disease and poverty, now that your hero has turned out to be the monster that anybody with the brains of a slug knew that he would turn out to be, now you want somebody else to rush in and save you from your own mistakes?

Now, after the monster that you created and you continued to enable is swimming in a sea of the blood of innocents you expect somebody else to come in and make it all better and hand it all back for you to screw up again?

Guess what? You wanted something for nothing and you got exactly what you paid for.

Now enjoy the fruits of your “labor.”

Let’s hope that the Breck Girl™ and HIS family are standing right next to the next Bumper Sticker™ that goes off, instead of innocent victims.

LONDON — Police thwarted an apparent terror attack early Friday after an ambulance crew reported seeing a smoking car parked near Piccadilly Circus that turned out to be packed with gasoline, nails, gas cylinders, and a detonator.

The explosives — safely defused by a bomb squad — were powerful enough to have caused “significant injury or loss of life” — possibly killing hundreds, British anti-terror police chief Peter Clarke said.

That’s some powerful Bumper Sticker™ there, Deadwards. How about you put one of those on your Carbon Neutral Limousine™? Also, while you’re at it, how about having The Chappaquiddick Swimmer™ be your chauffeur?

As we are daily treated to the Dem Cong’s urge to repeat their victory when they handed over Southeast Asia to the communists and genocide by going back on their word and cutting off funds to one of our allies, we thought it would be timely to reprint the words of former Prime Minister of Cambodia, Sirik Matak, whose response to an offer of being evacuated before the killing fields of Ted Kennedy Pol Pot became a reality was:

“I thank you very sincerely,” Matak wrote in response, “for your offer to transport me towards freedom. I cannot, alas, leave in such a cowardly fashion. As for you, and in particular for your great country, I never believed for a moment that you would have this sentiment of abandoning a people which has chosen liberty. You have refused us your protection, and we can do nothing about it. You leave, and my wish is that you and your country will find happiness under this sky. But, mark it well, that if I shall die here on the spot and in my country that I love, it is no matter, because we are all born and must die. I have only committed this mistake of believing in you [the Americans].”

Eventually, between 1 million and 2 million Cambodians were murdered by the Khmer Rouge when “peace” came to Indochina. Matak, Kissinger recounts, was shot in the stomach and died three days later.

Mary Jo Kopechne isn’t the only one murdered by Ted Kennedy.

Now tell me again why we should do the same to the Iraqis?

I sat down earlier this week and penned this out as the opening monologue for my radio talk-show, Tuesday Truth I cleaned it up a bit and decided to post it for the pack to gnaw on.

The hard left, being the target of most of my writing and talk is an interesting, although malignant ideology. The entire concept of liberal thought presents a dichotomy of reason, intellectual snobbery and deceit. They claim to stand for many things, such as cultural and religious tolerance, diversity, globalist governments, freedom of speech and always the ‘little guy’ or the latest manufactured ‘victim’ group. Moreover a careful look into what they purportedly ‘stand for’ reveals they actually stand for little if anything. In other words their entire ideology consists of oppositional behaviors. Their elevation of the insane, yet brilliant ideology of Marxism and his defender Trotsky is clearly seen in reading the classic tome ‘The Communist Manifesto on which socialism is based. They vehemently deny classification as socialists or communists, yet virtually every ‘idea’ they put forth can be directly linked to that writing.

The manifesto, rife with the concept of class warfare, is full of contradictions cleverly disguised by academic, elite articulation. It supposes that the only proven method of generation of wealth and power, free market economies, is merely a sham in which the proletariat class lives in thrall to an amorphous bourgeois class in total and merciless pursuit of power and wealth. Concepts of private property, an individual’s freedom in the to generation of wealth by individual’s efforts (and by extension, power) are counterproductive to the catchy lie of the “common good”. It’s summation concludes that only the elimination of the ‘bourgeois class’, replacing all control of the production of wealth under state control. Of
course in such a system the state would necessarily be an elitist class (under a false pretense of ‘the party’), assumed to be honest and capable of making proper decisions for all based on the amorphous ‘common good’.

Since it’s inception, intellectuals have seen it for what it is, a method to permit a select group to attain and maintain total power. The rational mind will see the gross paradox as it’s merely the substitution of one class for another, with the new ‘ruling’ class self-established.

The very nature of the liberal mindset and socialist culture puts the ideology, 180 degrees out of synch with conservative rational viewpoints. Moral equivocations being a prime example of this disconnect. Taken to it’s extreme, the elitist, ruling class of individuals (a large centralized government) are permanently installed into having the ultimate power and control over the ‘working class’ purportedly the system is protecting.

Contrasting the ideology of Marx and Lenin as written then, with the far left of today is starkly obvious. Virtually every key concept formulated by those madmen are fully embraced in the liberal views of ‘ideas’ of the far left.

The methodology is simple, create various classes by rhetorical subterfuge, and then imbue each class with a ‘grievance’, conveniently solvable by the nanny-statist government. The phony smiling leftist ‘pats’ the ‘victims’ on the head, assuring them justice and protection from the evil classes, if only they put them in charge at the ballot box.

Mark Moyar looks like the perfect fit to teach history at Miami University: first in the history department and summa cum laude at Harvard; Ph.D. at Cambridge; speaks French and German; two successful books and a third on the way …

Sounds pretty impressive, doesn’t it? But then the Stalinists at Miami U read on and damn near choked on their pirozhki:

But wait a minute - what’s this on his resume about teaching at the Marine Corps University and the George Bush School of Government and Public Service? And whoa, don’t choke on your green tea, but look at the title of his book: “Triumph Forsaken: The Vietnam War, 1954-1965.”

Triumph? Vietnam? In the same sentence?

It took several ceremonial readings of “Das Kapital” before the socialist faculty in Miami managed to stop shaking.

Naturally, Dr. Moyar didn’t get the job. You just can’t expose fragile young minds to ideas not pre-approven by outstanding socialist thinkers such as Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler and Pol Pot.

Yet among the dozen candidates the faculty chose to interview were two who did not have doctorates, one whose dissertation was on “Race, Identity and Gender in the Panama Canal Zone,” and another whose scholarship focused on “American Radio in East Asia.”

None of which wanted the job, so the faculty chose to not hire anyone at all. Hey, what else can you do when you’re hiring and can’t find a single communist among your applicants?

President James Garland backed the history department. When Garland retired, new President David Hodge told Moyar that Miami promotes “diversity of ideas on campus,”

All the way from Lenin to Pol Pot!

Just keep that in mind the next time a patchouli-reeking socialist starts mumbling about McCarthy.

It’ll make you feel positively wonderful about subsequently breaking his arms and placing a knee in his mouth.

We don’t often link to the festering fever swamp of the Dhimmicratic Underwear (this fine gentleman and Imperial Blogger does it so much better after all), but when Sir Guido sent us this link, we knew that we had to make an exception.

After all, they’re talking about guns, those wonderful, warm, lovable instruments of joy and merriment, and some of the more demented Stalinist replies are fine examples of why socialist shitholes where the almighty state controls everything are such wonderful havens of unemployed, hopeless misery.

But equal misery, mind you. It’s socialism, after all.

First, the original post by a gentleman who actually, *GASP!*, makes sense. Something about as rare on Dhimmicratic Underpants as finding a virgin above the age of 12 within a 50 mile radius of a male member of the Clinton family (pun very much intended).

Illinois Gun Control Idiocy Costing 450 Jobs and $20 Million

So those idiots in Springfield are going to pass a bill which bans high capacity magazines (>10 rounds). Not just the the possession but the actual manufacture of said magazines.

Text of Bill http://ilga.gov/legislation/fulltext.asp?DocName=09500S…

So what is going to happen? FIVE count them FIVE gun makers are leaving.

http://www.qctimes.com/articles/2007/05/15/news/local/d…

Officials criticized Chicago lawmakers for creating a “feel-good law” they say will do nothing to stop violence and will force companies to leave Illinois. “It’s kind of a regional battle between the legislators from Chicago and legislators from the downstaters,” Rep. Mike Boland, D-East Moline, said. The bill calls for a ban on large-capacity gun magazine clips, which are produced by five local companies:

Springfield Armory, Geneseo, Ill.
ArmaLite, Geneseo, Ill.
Rock River Arms, Colona, Ill.
Les Baer Custom, Hillsdale, Ill.
Lewis Machine and Tool, Milan, Ill.

Les Baer is already planning to move to LeClaire, Iowa.”

450 jobs and $20 million in revenue if the companies have to move. The decision would also affect their local suppliers.

I guess jobs and revenue never gets in the way of politician assholes being assholes.

Ronnie Barrett quit selling ANY of his rifles to the People’s Republik of Kalifornia LEO after they passed their .50 ban. I hope he does the same to Illinois and any other state that does the same. And I hope ALL these companies follow suit. Furthermore I hope DoD gets into the act and puts a knee into the nuts of Illinois by not sending ANY money their way.

We wish “qdemn7″ the best as the overlords at DU get ready to tombstone him for his pro-gun, pro-business capitalistic heresy right in the middle of the People’s Forum.

And now, the insanity begins as replies begin piling on:
