In that case, we may have something right up your alley.

Now, we haven’t read it yet but, based on the blurb below as well as our correspondence with the author, USMC CPL Matthew Reed, it sounds like this one will be quite worth the read.

Terrorists being eliminated by the Russian Mafia in order to bypass the bleeding heart legislation? Did we mention Haji trash being taken out in quite violent and satisfying ways?

“I’ve written a counter-terrorist Novel titled In The Death of Night. It’s about a retired C.I.A. Case Officer named Bill Carpenter who manipulates and leverages the Russian Mafia into killing Islamic terrorists inside Houston. This scheme is accomplished via the transfer of covertly obtained, inside information on Law Enforcement Operations against Russian Organized Crime, to a former K.G.B. Officer who, in exchange for the information, dispatches his syndicate’s ex-Spetsnaz and ex G.R.U. Russian Military Triggermen to brutally eradicate the terrorists. As the Novel goes on, South African Mercenaries and retired Special Forces Operators are hired through cash payments to conduct bloody and brutal assassinations of more high profile targets.

Retired Cops and other Military veterans who’ve read this Novel told me it could be used as a training manual on how to kill terrorists and were amazed at the level of tradecraft and detail.”

– Matthew Reed

Quite an intriguing idea, to use the Russians to wipe out terrorists. I’m reminded of the real life story from the Middle East where some Hizb’allah apes made the fatal mistake of kidnapping four Soviet diplomats back in 1985. They killed one, then mysteriously decided to return the other three. It is said that it had something to do with close relations of the Hizb’allah showing up dead on the doorsteps of the kidnappers. Well, parts of them showing up anyway. This was later denied by the KGB, claiming that the media reports were just a “bluff.” We’re not so sure about that. Anyway, the KGB Colonel denying the story, Yuriy Perfiliev, did mention that he’d met with the leader of Hizb’allah, letting them know that unless the diplomats were returned, the Soviet Union might just “accidentally” fire a nuke at Qom, Iran.

How we miss the good old days when men knew how to deal with subhuman scum.
