Video: Couric Says Military ‘Wants’ Her To See Only Good

CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric implied the U.S. military fed her propaganda when she was taken to the Allawi market.

Sure they did, Katie, but how are you going to prove it?

Unless your proctologist left the camera up there back you-know-when, of course.

Hiring you was the best decision See-B.S. ever made. I literally cannot stop laughing every time I see your network’s ratings plunge further into the toilet.

(Sorry, Mein Imperator, but I just couldn’t resist…B.)

What is this ding-a-ling’s major malfunction? The military is trying to show her something positive, to show that some things are getting better in Iraq and she calls it military propaganda? That is not military propaganda, you dumbass. Do you have any idea with military propaganda is? Read Bodyguard of Lies sometime, that shows what military propaganda is all about, you nitwit!!!! I am so glad that I have not watch CBS news for the last dozen years or so, especially after this dumb ass has joined up. Now I know why I also stopped watching the Today Show on NBC. Because of her!!!!! TWIT!!!

Congrats on the foist, LC Leoni2.

As to Kutie Katie (or Commie Cootie Catie, as His Imperiousness prefers), it’s like this: She came to Iraq with a whole list of the horrors and futility of war that she expected to see and there, lo and behold, was something that didn’t fit the narrative that she and her colleagues had agreed on at dinner parties in the States.

Ergo, it must all be propaganda.

Contrast this with every single whisper of death and despair coming from various Haji stringers employed by the “news” agencies.

Ever heard the likes of Katie question that as propaganda? Of course you haven’t, because it fits, so it has to be true.

I suppose there are reasons networks are sending their T & A into Iraq/Afghanistan where previously, only real journalists would tread…I’m sure I would send Couric in, but not to get a story, but to see how much our insurance company would cough up for a ransom.
There really is no journalistic reason anyone would send that airbag into a volatile area to cover such a volatile story, though. She is without skill, talent or reputation. She is a conceited, blow-dried bitch with as much journalistic integrity as Wlad Putin. We would be better off sending Miss Teen South Carolina in.
To have her take such an arrogant, baseless stance against US troups is disgusting. It’s obviously an attempt at her trying to sound objectionable, but just ends up as her being a bitch looking to sulk about something. The brave troups are trying, almost pleading with the media to show a bit of their progress. It’s shocking to think of the amount of people who think nothing’s been done since Hussein was taken from power, because of people like Couric who think it’s propaganda, or the people like the BBC and Reuters who think it doesn’t even exist.

If she wants to find out something, she can…you know…look.

I guess making cynical insinuations about people risking their lives is easier than taking any risks on herself or her staff to actually, you know, find out stuff about the place on which she’s reporting.

Just a pedantic side note about one of the critical words being used in this thread:

‘Propaganda’ is not necessarily false. It’s simply those things which a given party wants propagated, or promoted. All things being equal, I’ll take the Army’s propaganda over Katie’s any 8 days of the week.

What I don’t get is why it is wrong for our military to show her some of the positive things they have done. I would love to see good things-not that I mind the internet, but I would like to see positive things about soldiers on t.v. more often, and just after they died, or the occasional clip on cable news, but more often. I knew she wasn’t suited for serious news, and I guess this proves it. It just annoys me :em12:

mindy1, it’s simple, it doesn’t fit the agenda of the MSM, the Dhimmis and people like Mark Cuban and Brian DePalma to show that the military does anything but rape, pillage and plunder. Heaven forbid that the American public find out that those men and women in uniform are people and not evil, drooling simpletons blindly obeying the orders of the war mongers leading them.

And really, gang, as good an idea as it sounds, do you really think the powers that be at the Commie Broadcasting Society would have sent Kute Kate into a real warzone? Hell no, they know it’s not as bad as they want to make you believe, and that no matter what they actually think of her, the US military will take care of on-camera probed ass.

Ya know sumthin? She may be a vacuous twit, but BC’s Perky Katie cheerleader pic made me realize that I’d still give her a man juice mustache.

She’s probably had enough facelifts and plastic surgery by now, you can see the Dow Chemical logo on her cheek or boobs if you look close enough! I like the Jon Stewart Show ad that says “We had fake news years before CBS hired Katie Couric.” Her attitude on covering the war is prevalent through the snooze media, and is one reason that the #1 unwritten rule among deployed GI’s is NEVER TRUST A REPORTER!!

my rss feed reader in Thunderbird is not working.

As much I like Thunderbird, the problem I ran into was even after I cleared a feed, the damn thing still kept trying to find it and inform me it wasn’t a valid feed anymore. It slowed it down about 5 or 10 seconds every startup.

I finally just went to E-mail notification.
