We are rarely moved to waste our time commenting on the mental waste products of random Idiotarians, but sometimes they’re just too cosmically cretinous to be ignored, as is the case with this great northern pansy, one Rick Perlstein:

Bed-wetter Nation

By Rick Perlstein on September 25, 2007 - 3:02pm.

Here’s a big question that I want to start addressing in upcoming posts: what is conservative rule doing to our nation’s soul?

And we can’t hardly wait for armchair psychologist Perlstein to launch into 476 installments of how horrible those conservatives are and why liberals are so much more wonderful and nuanced; better not merely for our nation as a whole, but better for the very soul of our nation.

One thing that has always struck us is the truly fascinating modesty of those liberal pansies. Even though they’re obviously so much better than everybody else (they’d have to be in order to justify the endless column inches wasted on their sermons regarding their superior nature), they nevertheless, on a regular basis, take time out from their indubitably busy schedules to descend from Mt. Olympus to enlighten us poor, misguided rubes.

How is it rewiring our hearts and minds? What kind of damage are they doing to the American character? And can we ever recover?

We hate to inform you about this but no, you can’t. You’ve been beyond therapeutic reach for quite some time, but we’re told that the pharmaceutical industry has numerous products that might help a bit with the symptoms.

So: what is the American character? Hard to say, of course. But I daresay we know it when we see it.

…he said, gazing longingly into the mirror permanently fixed to his desk in front of him.

Let me put before you an illustrative example: one week in September of 1959, when, much like one week in September of 2007, American soil supported a visit by what many, if not most Americans agreed was the most evil and dangerous man on the planet.

After which he launches into a seemingly endless paean to that liberal hero of the working class, Nikita Khrushchev and how he, this giant of a man, was treated with dignity and respect by the hoi-polloi when he visited us back in 1959. You can go read all of it if you want to, but all we have to say is that we sincerely hope that Mr. Perlstein wiped off his keyboard before he launched into the second section.

Had America suddenly succumbed to a fever of weak-kneed appeasement? Had the general running the country—the man who had faced down Hitler!—proven himself what the John Birch Society claimed he was: a conscious agent of the Communist conspiracy?

No. Nikita Khrushchev simply visited a nation that had character. That was mature, well-adjusted. A nation confident we were great. We had our neuroses, to be sure—plenty of them.

Character, according to the liberal playbook = talking to anybody, no matter how vile and despicable, just for the sake of listening to your gums flapping.

Of course, what Mr. Perlstein completely fails to recognize is that Khrushchev, in spite of his many faults (being the head of state for one of the most murderous regimes in the history of mankind being but one), actually had something to offer and, when not busy persecuting dissidents and sending them off on extended vacations to Siberia, was a rational player from whom you could expect rational responses to rational questions.

Ahmadinnernutjob, on the other hand — not so much.

But look now what we have lost. Now when a bad guy crosses our threshhold, America becomes a pants-piddling mess.

Please. We mean, PLEASE! Will you liberal parakeets, for the love of G-d, PLEASE change your playbook every once in a while or, at the very least, add a few pages to it once every decade or so? It is getting to be quite tiresome having to listen to you always repeating the same mantra: If one is opposed to something or somebody, one is opposed because one is mortally terrified of it/him/her.

Unlike liberals, of course, who are fantastically brave in their blind acceptance of everything under the sun, the only notable exception being anything even remotely to the right of Pol Pot.

Combating evil, refusing to have anything to do with it, much less listen to anything it may have to say = Scared, cowardly and shameful.

“Tolerating” anything at all, refusing to draw the line anywhere = Heroically brave.

Up is down, black is white and the Hildebeest isn’t a socialist.

We guess that Eisenhower must have been mortally afraid of the Germans and Japanese, what with all his “unconditional surrender” balderdash. We mean, did he even once invite Hirohito or Hitler to New York during WWII for tea and crumpets? COWARD!

Iran’s president speaks at a great American university. That university’s president, in the act of introducing his lecture, whines like a baby bereft of his pacifier that his guest is a big meany poopy-head.

A big meany poopy-head who is the president of a country topping out the list of known state sponsors of terrorism, a country where women can be imprisoned or even murdered for daring to demand a status above cattle, and a country where homosexuals are strung up from cranes for, well, being homosexuals.

How DARE president Bollinger treat a statesman like that with such disrespect!

City Council members, too, and a rabbi, make like ten-year-olds, giving their press conference in front of a sign with his face struck through and the legend “Go To Hell.”

In the rabbi’s case, a ten-year-old reacting to a psychopath threatening the center of his faith with nuclear annihilation and denying that 6 million of his fellow Jews were ever murdered by Nazism, that is. How immature of him.

Up in Albany, Democratic leader Sheldon Silver treat the students of this great university like ten years olds, threatening to defund Columbia University lest censors like himself prove unable to shut the poor children’s ears to difficult speech.

The only thing “difficult” about Ahmapsychopath’s speech was trying to make head or tails of the incoherent, insane blather.

(What, was he worried they’d be convinced, join the jihad?)

Maybe he just didn’t feel that American universities should be propaganda platforms for the criminally insane? But hey, if that’s how you liberal bend-overs roll, we can’t wait for you to roll out the red carpet for the KKK as well. Actually, we’d settle for you simply allowing rank and file conservatives to speak on campus, but even that is apparently too “difficult” for you.

But genocidal maniacs at war with us and directly responsible for the deaths of American soldiers — Hey, get the lobster, red carpet and champagne, lest we be accused of being “bedwetters.”

Then a Republican presidential candidate chimes in—bye, bye, federalism!—saying Washington should starve the school of funds, too.

We hate to break it to you, but federal funding of schools is, indeed, a federal issue. You might, had you had at least the intellect of a lobotomized lemur, have noticed the similarity of the words. We don’t recall anybody saying that the STATES shouldn’t be allowed to fund their liberal propaganda mills as they see fit.

American diplomats used to have the gumption to spar face to face with dreaded foreign leaders.

They still do. Not that they ever accomplish much with said “gumption”, words aren’t all that frightening no matter how much you furrow your brow an wag your finger (except to liberals, perhaps. They might get their precious feelings hurt and be scarred for life). Where they sometimes draw the line is when it comes to pathologically insane criminals with nothing to offer and even less credibility. Not much point in talking to something like that, since nothing they could possibly say would be worth a thing.

Now they go on cable TV and whine about what a “travesty” it would have been to visit a site which properly should belong to the world.

Note to self: When murderous swine murder 3,000 Americans, the property rights to the crime scene immediately pass to “The World.” Sorry, but no amount of “We Are All Americans Now” (followed, in most cases, by the usual “and by the way, you Americans are unilateral, warmongering swine”) confers property rights on the idiot muttering the platitude in order to get on TV.

Hundreds of foreign nationals died in the World Trade Center on 9/11 (maybe even some of the Iranian!). Yet we have to systematically repress that—as if our national ego would crack like fine crystal if we were forced to acknowledge the mingling of American blood with that of mere foreigners.

So if a German gets run over in Miami, the street corner immediately belongs to Germany? By denying access to Ground Zero to somebody undoubtedly an accomplice or at the very least an aider and abetter of the perpetrators’ terrorist organization, we’re all of a sudden denying to acknowledge that Iranians might have died there as well? That’s an interesting pretzel of illogic you have right there. By the same token, we assume that it would be unconscionably rude to deny access to Auschwitz to former SS camp commandants, thus denying them the “right” to pay their “respects” to their victims?

But—they sputter—Ahmadinejad has has promised to wipe Israel off the map!

And who cares about that “shitty little nation” anyway?

Well, SOME of us do. Those of us who are not the ideological brethren of the National Socialists, that is.

Well, Khrushchev had promised to wipe the U.S. off the map. (”We will bury you.”)

No, he hadn’t. We get immensely tired of having to point this out to every demented, ignorant hick out there with a poor understanding of their subject matter, but here goes again: “We will bury you” is a quite common Russian idiom that means “we will outlast you” or “we will live longer than you.” It does NOT mean “we will murder you, then shove you into mass graves.” It is an idiom, you moron. Just as “you’re up shit creek without a paddle” does NOT mean that I’m asserting as a fact that you’re currently floating on top of a torrent of excrement without the means to propel your chosen vessel.

Khrushchev might have enjoyed to personally shove our mortal remains into a mass grave and pour dirt upon it, we have no way of knowing that since he’s very much (and satisfyingly so) dead along with his murderous regime, but THAT WAS NOT WHAT HE WAS SAYING, you insufferable fool.

And, unlike Mr. A, who has but some possible stores of fissile material, Mr. K very much had the means, motive, and opportunity to do it—thousands of nuclear-tipped rockets aimed at every city in the land.

Yet, for some inexplicable reason, he never actually did so. Hence the term usually applied to him: “Rational player.”

Unlike Ahmadingdong who most assuredly is NOT rational, nor anything that could possibly be confused with it unless you’re a liberal loony tune.

If you seriously believe that Ahmagonefishing wouldn’t make use of those nukes if he had them, then you obviously haven’t been paying attention, since he and his fellow travelers have helpfully pointed out that they would on several occasions.

How cowardly our conservative Republic of Fear has made us. How we tremble at the mere touch of a challenge. It’s conservatives who started it, of course.

“How cowardly to refuse to deal with psychopaths, murderers and other swine. How BRAVE to give them a platform and listen to what they have to say while they continue to plan and scheme against you unopposedly.”

You liberals sure have a strange definition of “bravery”, but we already knew that.

Here’s what they’re reading in their own media: a letter from Human Events editor Tom Winter headlined “Are You Ready for a New Dark Ages?”:

Dear Fellow Conservative:Someday soon, you might wake up to the call to prayer from a Muslim muezzin. Millions of Europeans already do.

And liberals will still tell you that “diversity is our strength” — while Talibanic enforcers cruise our cities burning books and barber shops… the Supreme Court decides sharia law doesn’t violate the “separation of church and state” … and the Hollywood Left gives up gay rights in favor of the much safer charms of polygamy.

If you think this can’t happen, you haven’t been paying attention, as the hilarious and brilliant Mark Steyn — the most popular conservative columnist in the English-speaking world — shows to devastating effect in his New York Times bestseller, America Alone: The End of the World As We Know It….

This stuff is mind-numbingly hysterical—literally.

Not nearly as mind-numbingly hysterical as the imams and terrorists that are the sources for those writings. But hey, let’s all stick our heads back in the sand. It’s the “brave” liberal way to “face” a threat, after all. Wouldn’t want to bed-wettingly oppose it.

Such rhetoric is literally calculated to numb the mind, to render any rational calculus impossible, to reduce democratic deliberation on the most subtle and difficult issues of our time to mere grunts and snorts, turning readers’ minds to mush. That’s what the conservative media is all about.

Not much point in relying on “rational calculus” when your enemy hasn’t the faintest notion of what it means, is there?

The worst thing about, however, is how many people who should know better have surrendered it. They’ve lowered us all to their own pants-piddling level. And somewhere, Nikita Khrushchev is smiling. For well and truly, he is right. We have been buried—by our own demobilizing.

Demobilizing? Oh, we get it. By relying on our strengths and superior moral values, we’re “demobilizing.”

If we were to run away screaming like little children, lending an ear to every murdering swine out there with a longing to slit our throats, on the other hand, now THAT would be brave.

Moron.

    Foistest too !!

I get it, it’s an illustration of circular logic, right?

I suppose that is the definition of rational calculus, and he’s no doubt a full professor of it’s cabbalistic mysteries.

I read it twice and it still has no beginning, middle or end, a true mobius strip, scribbling like mad, hoping that someone is addled enough to concur.

    Sir,

There is certainly a vast assortment of medications that would be of service to Mr Perlstein. 100cc of Thorozine twice daily comes to mind, :em95: anyway… I am not sure I fully understand the ramblings of the man, nor do I have even a semblance of patience for his ilk and kind, but since he is so anxious to call you and your fellow citizens “bedwetters”, why, by everything that is sacred to me, doesn’t he join your soldiers in Iraq (or our Canadian troops in Afghanistan) and see how long HIS underpants stay dry when the shooting starts.
Where I come from, actions speak much louder than words, and I can point out to any of the soldiers of both our nations as being above any liberal rhetoric nonsense this person might spew forth. I am NOT worried about my American friends becoming “bedwetters” just on the reactions and opinions of a few cowards. Can’t wait to read what the other LC’s will come up with on this matter. Mr Perstein’s opinion is not worth the determination of even one of our soldiers…

I happen to think it’s just fine for Mad Mahmoud to have spoken at Columbia, though it was less so at the UN. At Columbia, he provided wonderful entertainment. I was laughing out loud. He also (with luck) provided some clues to the clueless about why some of us rather dislike the fellow and his theotyranny.

That said, the tortured logic and twisted facts with which bed-wetting Mr Perlstein defends his appearance are quite astounding. Excellent fisking.

I read Mr. Perlstein’s masturbation-in-print, and I guess I missed what he was on about. Was he longing for 1959, or 1979? And, for the record, was he, or was he not, praying for the emergence of the 12th Imam?

    Inquiring minds want to know.

Perlstien’s “world” is the same one that, when faced with the inconvenient fact that the US system of economics and governance generates more wealth than any other nation whines that “The US owns a disproportionate share of the “world’s” wealth.”

His type will go on and and on with how much resources we consume and how much pollution we produce with nary a mention of the goods we manufacture or the food we grow for his “world”.

One of the best zingers against Perlstein’s “world” was made by Ike during Kruschev’s ‘59 visit; Kruschev was watching the new presidential helecopter landing on the White House lawn.

Kruschev: You know, the helecopter was invented by a very smart Russian.

There you go, being logical again. Remember what Samuel Johnson said: you can’t reason a man out of a position he wasn’t reasoned into.

As far as this fellow’s rant goes, all you have to do is substitute the name ‘Dick Cheney’ for Mah-Mood, and the Leftists for the Conservatives, and see what your reply should be. Why are the Leftists wetting their beds over Cheney et al.? Why not engage in Mature Dialogue with them?

Good points by someone whose mind hasn’t been numbed by Conservative Media(tm). A simple protest placard with a picture of Ahmadinejad with the caption “GO TO HELL” is nowhere near as brilliant and subtle as the lib fave “the only Bush I trust is my own”.

I’m also glad Mr. Perlnecklace allayed my fears about Islamic extremism. Here I was, wetting my bed over the fact that dozens of very influential radical Islamic leaders have been clamoring about destroying western society and establishing a world-wide caliphate. I guess I can take the plastic sheets off my bed now that he’s proven that September 11th wasn’t really an indication of any kind of substantial threat. My mind is starting to become un-numbed by the liberal rhetoric. Ow, pins and needles!

1959 also had Fidel Castro speak at a University. He “didn’t have anything to offer” either. Somehow we survived. (and so has he, in spite of us)

I don’t care if AmaWhammerJammer got up on stage and started eating his own poo. The fact that you and others make such a big stinking deal out of it only elevates him. Ignoring him sends a larger message and is much more effective of a rebuke.

Prior to this ‘debate’, a lot of people had this romantic image of the man. After the debate, they saw a buffoon in a bad suit.

We are strong enough to not be afraid of people like this speaking. You think by giving him a platform it only makes him stronger.

I disagree. Giving him the platform only exposes him for what he is: a buffoon. We got to see something his own people already know.

Probably a handful. There’s probably handfuls of people in this country who would do just about anything, “if they had the power.”

Giving him the platform only exposes him for what he is: a buffoon.

Geez, DJ I would think you could come up with something better than that. For the liberals out there that don’t yet get it, the platform given to him wasn’t for Americans, it was for ARABS. All it takes is a shot of Ah’m in a jihad in front of an American audience and a bunch of overdubbed jibberjabber and you have instant propaganda that you just CAN’T buy.

Liberals like Perlstein always say ‘listen to what the nice tyrant has to say’ when it’s some enemy of the United States but let a patriot try to speak at Columbia and the stage is attacked by all those ‘tolerant’ liberals.

Can’t let the ROTC on campus, oh no. Forget tolerance when you disagree. There’s no ‘listen to what the nice recruiting sergeant has to say’ no, it’s keep the jackbooted stormtroopers away from our precious babies who are too innocent to make up their own minds about the military.

Liberals like to talk the talk but are always absent when it’s time to walk the walk.

Let the Minutemen on campus and give them adequate security to prevent the disgraceful actions of students during their last appearance. Let the ROTC on campus and let recruiters talk to students like you let the corporate folk do.

Until then liberals like Perlstein can just keep their pie-holes shut, their actions speak louder than Janeane Garbuffallo butts and Rosie O’Crazies can scream “Bushitler Cheneyburton”

Once again you prove how much you need to pull your head out of your ass. First If someone was elected and wanted to “round up all of the gays” you would have to elect an entire congress, senate and pres who were all on the same page. Over there all you need is a bunch of “fanatics” take over the country, and impose their will on everyone. Americans would never stand for it. So your agument, that there are some backwards assbags in this country who would want to do it. the rest of us just are not backward enough to follow the group, is just stupid. don’t equate some ignorant rednecks, or idiots from some church of their own making, with a bunch of fanatical goatfuckers who are doing it to get in the good graces of their “god”.

Let’s remember that when Nicky the K came to the USA in 1959, he had already taken the somewhat momentous step of denouncing Stalin’s crimes, had replaced generalized mass murder with selective repression, and was engaged in rehabilitating many of Stalin’s surviving victims, thus beginning the process that culminated (even with numerous serious retreats) in August 1991. What precisely, or even approximately, has Ahmadirtyjoke done to meliorate the atrocities of his mullish predecessor?

As for Purlstain’s invoking of the hundreds of Soviet missiles aimed at the US, Eisenhower knew at the time, as has been confirmed in the archives, that the number of missiles was somewhere between four and twenty. The “Great missile hysteria” of that age was an artifact of Democrat poltiical hsyteria/hyperbole; such threat was to be achieved only later under Democrap leadership.

Well, to this asshole I would only say……the Soviet Union could have, and Russia still can, destroy this nation, also knowing we would send them postage paid back to the dark ages. The big point being, could have….I daresay our Muslim friends would not hesitate to use such weapons. Even the euroweenies are catching on. For them martyrdom is a duty. Funny how the left constantly harps on fundamentalist Christians and Jews…yet most remain remarkably silent concerning the Muslims. After all, blowing up an abortion clitnic is equavelent to nine-eleven. The ones that murder gays for beng gay, a woman for commiting adultery, a whole new meaning to the concept of getting stoned. Yet the sucidial, self-hating left, in their mad zeal for power, if not embracing them, remains silent.

1959 also had Fidel Castro speak at a University. He “didn’t have anything to offer” either. Somehow we survived. (and so has he, in spite of us)

Sure. And at the end of the day, who gained nothing and who didn’t? Fidel Castro got to prance around masquerading as a human being, and we proved that we’re the kind of spineless, valueless fucks that will drop a bucket of dog turds in the family couch just to prove how “brave” we are.

I don’t care if AmaWhammerJammer got up on stage and started eating his own poo. The fact that you and others make such a big stinking deal out of it only elevates him. Ignoring him sends a larger message and is much more effective of a rebuke.

Oh, and I agree, but it’s kinda hard to “ignore” him when our feckless State Dept. issues an “as you please” visa to him and he’s invited as an honored guest and speaker to one of our universities, isn’t it?

There is only one proper way of dealing with vermin, particularly the bipedal kind, and that’s by treating it as vermin.

Either you exterminate it or, in the case of bipedal pests, you do everything you can to belittle, humiliate and denigrate it. In this case, the proper thing to do would be to issue a visa limited to Turtle Bay under our treaty obligations as the host nation, pick him up at the airport and transport him, under armed guard, to the UN, let him speak and then promptly escort his sorry, worthless ass out of the country again. No invites, no speeches, no press coverage except for a few pictures of him being given the full body cavity search by the TSA.

That’s how you deal with worthless waste of DNA.

You see, I don’t have a problem with you saying that we should’ve ignored him, but it’s too late for that when you start rolling out the red carpet.

What I DO have a problem with is clueless pants-pissers and tossers like Mr Perlstain who somehow think it is “brave” to dignify a maggot like Ahmapsychonutjob by treating him like a member of Homo Sapiens, an honor that he neither deserves, nor has earned.

Mr. Perlstain and his ilk would probably consider it “brave” too to empty a bowl of maggots on the dinner table. After all, how could the slimy little buggers possibly hurt us? Well, pardon me for being un-nuanced, but I’ll gracefully pass up on any dinner invitations from Mr. Perlstain.

Prior to this ‘debate’, a lot of people had this romantic image of the man. After the debate, they saw a buffoon in a bad suit.

Seriously. Anybody out there who, at this point in time after several trainloads of evidence to the contrary, still persists in having a romantic image of that sack of coyote sperm is somebody that I don’t have any use for. None. They’re too stupid to waste space on my planet, and the only reason they’re still stealing oxygen is that I’m against murder.

You don’t think that there aren’t a large number of people right here in this country that would round up all of the gays and either kill them or put them into prison if they only had the power to do so?

Oh, there might be a few nuts like that out there, as a matter of fact I’m sure that there are, but last I checked they weren’t presidents or even lawmakers and, if they were, they’d have to deal with me before they got to making nooses, because I don’t react very kindly to scum like that.

It is getting to be quite tiresome having to listen to you always repeating the same mantra: If one is opposed to something or somebody, one is opposed because one is mortally terrified of it/him/her.

I have experienced this on a personal level. We briefly had a real fruitbat liberal - a teacher, no less - as a neighbor. She had a large husky mix dog which she allowed to run loose. On two separate occasions, the dog came into our yard and nipped at our youngest son, who was 4 at the time. I told her she needed to build an enclosure for the dog as soon as possible, as our town has leash laws and her dog posed a clear nuisance. She apologized, insisting that the dog was simply being playful, and that “he wouldn’t hurt a fly”.

One day I came home from running errands to find my husband furious. He had been watching our son, who was playing outside. The dog came running across the field separating our houses (a lengthy distance),chased our child and pinned him against the garage - with his teeth bared. As my husband put it, it looked as though the dog was after prey. My husband chased the dog off, but it only ran a short distance away and continued to circle him and my son, growling, until it was pelted with rocks. The neighbor was not home, and the dog was again running loose.

I watched for her car to pull in, and visited her straight away. I tried to explain to her that the dog was truly a threat, that I had experienced that kind of behavior before from a dog my dad had brought home when I was a kid. Our dog bit me and my brother, and my dad disciplined the living hell out of him. I’m not into brutality toward animals, but interestingly from that day forward the dog we had hated became a loyal pet (we had him for 12 years). I assume his role in the family was established by the ass whuppin. So I told the woman the story, and insisted that she pen it immediately and take it to obedience lessons (since it paid absolutely NO attention to her yelling), or we would contact animal control. Furthermore, I told her that if the dog ever set foot in our yard again, minus his owner and a leash, we would shoot him.

The first thing she did was to chew out her two young daughters for not keeping an eye on the dog. Then she launched into a lengthy list of all the things that were going wrong in her life - her mother’s illness, her impending divorce (from a man she’d married a few months earlier), her own health problems, etc. I was exhausted after the exchange, but hoped I had got my message across.

A dog run magically appeared overnight. The dog no longer ran loose in the neighborhood, but instead barked in his cage. We became the bad guys, since she told the other neighbors she had been forced to confine her pet because I was “afraid of dogs because of a bad experience I had had as a child”. I gained an unearned reputation as a dog hater!

Fortunately, the woman was forced to sell the house and move. I have seen her since, a while back, and she informed me that it turned out the dog didn’t need obedience training after all - he was just still a puppy and he’d outgrown his bad habits. She also said she had moved to a place where the dog would have more room to run. Denial must be a wonderful state to live in.

PC: We fully intended to shoot it if it came in the yard again. Gun was ready at hand. I don’t really let my yougest one play outside unsupervised, anyway, because we have a registered sex offender living at the end of our driveway. Not taking unnecessary chances.

Since that time, the dog and his owner have moved. Our oldest boys are man-sized now, so the sex offender (who molested toddlers) is less of a concern to us. I still keep close track of the youngest boy, though.

The most recent issue has been with a pair of dogs that show up sporadically and kill cats. There is a pit bull female (probably not altered, as she appeared to have had puppies when we first saw her) and an unneutered male Rottweiler pair who show up randomly. They have killed one of our cats and a cat who belongs to a friend (who lives several blocks away), as well as at least three other cats around town. Animal control has not been able to catch them. The dogs are wearing collars and appear well fed, so it would seem they have owners. I haven’t seen the dogs in a couple of months now, but every time I get to thinking they may finally be vanished, they reappear!
