How ’bout them Cowboys? Five and OH, baby!

Really, that was just about the most amazing comeback I’ve seen since, well since back when the Cowboys could actually play. Happy days are here again indeed.

Down and beaten around like a redheaded stepchild after the worst effin’ game I’ve ever seen Romo play, they pick it up and end up winning with an incredible 53 yard FG kicked by a damned rookie, two seconds still remaining on the clock.

Just like the good old days when they used to win Superbowls. It ain’t over ’till it’s OVER.

Oh, and to all the Bills fans pissing in their beer and moaning about “bad luck” and “poor refs”: You would’ve been singing a different tune if that FG hadn’t been good, now wouldn’t you, you piss poor losers?

For the record: Had the ‘Boys lost, and it sure as Hell looked like it right up ’till the end, I wouldn’t have been whining like a spoiled brat crying about his strained peas afterwards, because they’d have deserved it. They played like a bunch of idiots for most of the game, but somehow they managed to scrape their fighting spirit back up off the ground and stay in the game regardless. And that made all the difference.

And they’d damn well better hit the ground running next week when they meet the Patriots, because if they perform then like they did in the first three and three quarters of last night’s game, they’ll get creamed, and rightly so. And you won’t find me crying like a Buffalo fan if that happens.

Thatisall.

    Couple of things:

    - Had Romo NOT turned the ball over 6 times, this would have been a royal ass-kicking.

    - This was probably a good tune-up for the ‘Boys. They had the opportunity to dig in and fight back to win the game. Granted, Beefalo wasn’t the toughest team to practice the ComeFromBehind on, but it was still a valuable confidence builder for Dallas.

    And …. FOIST.

    As a Dolphins’ fan-

    Please, no sympathy

    - I loved watching the Bills get a painful loss shoved down their throats. In a bit of Karmic payback, Wade Phillips has now won a game as coach that he should have lost. Since he was the Bills’ coach in 1999 when the Music City Miracle caused all Bills’ fans to head towards the nearest edge, he knows all to clearly the pain of the other sideline.

I’m still laughing about the loss today. It’s time to send another email to Bills’ fans. Since my team sucks, I’ll take my pleasure via schaedenfreude.

Oh good ole Football. I do have to say I was impressed Dallas saved it from the fire, at the end. But, Dogg, good points on Romo. I thought Romo’s fumblitis was cured. Romo isn’t bad, though. He’s got some tuning up to do, but was very good, up until that last game in the playoffs. If Dallas goes all the way, I’ll pull for em. I’d like my team to go, but the equation involves NO WAY + IN HELL = TEXANS CHANCES. At least our new QB doesn’t suck that bad. Now, if some of our guys get off the injured list, that would be good. And my apologies to the Dolphins for Johnson taunting the QB who wasn’t moving, before he was taken off the field. That was classless and inexcusable. So, unlike Mr. Big Mouth, I’ll apologize on his behalf.

As far as College Football goes, I did enjoy poor UT getting spanked, although I am no OU fan either. LSU, finally got the number one slot it deserved, and poor wittle USC got spanked by Stanford. Bwahahahaha!

Well 2 of those 5 int’s came on batted balls. The very first one was just a miscommunication with Witten. On one the defender just made a superb play on the ball and cut it off. Only 2 of those picks do I say Romo made a truly bad play, the one to the Bill’s LB on the goal line and the one where he tried to throw over another Bills LB in a zone and the guy just turned and reached up and snagged the ball.

Dallas had a tough game on opening night with the Giants, then pretty much coasted in it’s next three games against the Fins, the Bears and the Rams. We were due a tough game. We got one. That was the Bills Super Bowl game, man. They were pumped and that crowd was awesome.

Dallas seems to start slow, keep the game close in the 1st half and then turn it up in the second half. They almost paid for starting slow last night. Against the Pats they had better come out the gate like a racehorse.

I knew precisely nothing about Romo, until I saw an interview he did with Bradshaw recently. The kid is bright, and funny as hell….

I think he showed a lot of class the first time a mic was shoved in his face after the game, too.

Win, lose, or draw; playing for Dallas or anywhere else, I think Tony is going to be a Class Act, a credit to the NFL and fun to watch…. On or off the field.

For the purposes of full disclosure, I must admit that I am a congenital “Cowboys Hater”…. But as Sarkozy has milli-metrically softened my attitude towards the despicable French, This Romo kid might actually get me to watch a bit of a Dallas game, every now and then.

Won’t be easy for me, but I’ll try. (Old Dogs vs. New Tricks)

Sorry gang…. I’m just a product of my old environment…. The good ol’ “Black and Blue Division”.

Regardless of who wins next Sunday, it certainly won’t be a dull game, that’s for sure…if I had $10,000 handy, I’d bet the whole wad the Pats-’Boys showdown ends up going into at least one overtime, maybe two.
