So the U.S. government won’t foot the bill for protecting Ayaan Hirsi Ali from Islamofascist murderers, the brave woman who has stood up and protested the “religion of peace” bull so often spouted by President Weeniedick. We guess his principles only go so far, which isn’t very far at all.

The Netherlands, from which she originally fled because they’d rather not offend the people who want to rape, mutilate and murder her, won’t have anything to do with her either.

Enter little Denmark, the country who, once again, refuses to budge in the face of terror and intimidation. “Hey, if you want, Ayaan, you can come over here. We’ll be happy to protect you from the goatfuckers who don’t understand the meaning of free speech.”

Not that it ought to surprise anybody. They were the ones, I’m proud to say, who snuck their Joos out under the noses of the Nazis because they’d be damned if they’d let the occupiers run their citizens off to death camps.

If only Washington DC combined had the courage and principle of a Danish toddler but, alas, that’s quite unlikely to happen in our lifetime.

She’s currently about to go to the Middle East to suck some pallie cock and sell out the Jooos again.

I suppose she can then have fun squirting it between her front teeth. I wonder how far she can do that?

And sadly for the rest of the “Western World”, their refusal to protect her is an indication of what’s in store for the rest of us when the islamogoatlickers start asking for our heads… Denmark is showing how to deal with those blood-thirsty monsters, yet our “democracies” cringe in fear of the sickos! Misha, I love your little peninsula, and am proud to share a little blood with you.

You got some Viking blood in you? You poor bastard, but at least you have the perfect excuse whenever you do something utterly nuts, like entering a fight where you’re outnumbered 5 to 1 smiling and saying “sounds like fun!” ;-)

Father and I are thinking about touring Europe over the summer. Anywhere in Denmark that you can recommend, places where we can sample a unique visage of the spirit of your homeland?

    Sure! All of it!

Seriously, that’s a dangerous question that even a Viking is afraid to answer. No matter what I say, some other Viking from a different part of the country will show up and tell me that I’m full of shite :-)

Also, it depends on what you’re looking for. All of the country has the same spirit, only different variants of it. Jutland has the most rugged yet quiet individualism, Zeelanders are more “flashy” and cosmopolitan, particularly the ones in Copenhagen, but every bit as Danish as the rest, and the people of Funen are somewhere in between and probably the most easy-going of them all.

If I were to pick only one city from each, I’d pick Aarhus for Jutland, Odense for Funen and Copenhagen for Zeeland, but there are others of course.

As to nature, Jutland runs the gamut of vistas. From barren heaths, towering cliffs and flatlands to calm beaches, rolling hills and forests. Generally, the “wild” parts are to the West and the “gentle” parts are to the East.

For sheer pastoral idyll, rolling hills, lush vegetation and beauty so intense that you’ll choke on it, the islands, particularly Funen, win hands down. If you like beaches, sailing and swimming, the islands are also a better bet, particularly the Southern parts of Funen. If you like to take in sights, Copenhagen is soaked in them and it has Elsinore just a stone’s throw to the North. If ancient battlefields are your thing, the Southern parts of Jutland are great, since the damn Germans liked to march around there in the past ;-)

But no matter where you go, you’ll like it. Danes are friendly, open and always ready to party.

Nope. Danes speak a minimum of English in addition to Danish, and most of them speak German as well. And then there are all the ones who took a language or two on top of those.

You pretty much have to when only about 5 million people speak your native tongue ;)

Over at LGF, there was this remark on the matter:

I appreciate the sentiment, but I think this ‘free city’ idea is a bad one. All it does is create a target rich environment for the jihadis - a new kind of ghetto.

Now that is a fair concern on the matter and my knowledge of anything Danish is limited to beer, cheese and Legos. So I have to ask: What is the Danish approach to firearm ownership? Would someone trying to kill her in such a city be met with high velocity counterarguments?

My mama was a quarter Dane, yes indeed.

ou poor bastard, but at least you have the perfect excuse whenever you do something utterly nuts, like entering a fight where you’re outnumbered 5 to 1 smiling and saying “sounds like fun!”

Only had that kick in once. Couple years ago, I took on the school’s star boxer and his buddies and won. He was picking on a gay kid in the locker room, so I grabbed the back of his head and threw him into a locker. His bleeding face deterred his buddies, all except one, and I tagged him with a black eye. Roughed up knuckles were the worst of my wounds. He and I actually became pretty good friends later, partners in Ceramics class.

Violence does solve things, whadya know? Ha ha ha!

Denmark sounds beautiful. I think Funen is more my speed. May be a nice place to spend some quality time to Holly. She’ll love Jutland, so we’ll I, we’re both history freaks.

Hey, I’m more German then I am Dane! A full quarter Deutschlander, only an 8th Viking. I’m some frightening fraction of Fwench, unforunately. But, hey, we’re all Northmen here. If not by blood, then by spirit.

I did some digging, and corresponded with family overseas. A good portion of the Mosher clan stayed in Alsace-Lorraine back in the day, and then moved back to Prussia after WWII. I digress, what I wanted to say was, I had family on both sides of the Battle of Hurtgen Forest.

A maternal grand-uncle in the 28th Infantry, and a distant uncle cousin of some sort in the 116th Panzer.

Another truly great thing about Denmark is that it’s very small, so there’s really nothing stopping you from sampling more than one region. As a matter of fact, I recommend it.

Hey, I’m more German then I am Dane! A full quarter Deutschlander, only an 8th Viking. I’m some frightening fraction of Fwench, unforunately. But, hey, we’re all Northmen here. If not by blood, then by spirit.

No hard feelings there. We’re all so mixed up by inter-marriage and moving borders that it’s really impossible to say where one Norse country ends and another begins. But we DO have to have our sibling rivalries going on, don’t you know? If some dumb outsider starts picking on any of us, on the other hand, all bets are off and some serious arse-kicking is coming up.

As to the wars? Hey, wars happen. We won some, we lost some, but that’s all water under the bridge and, at any rate, we’re still all related by blood. We like to jab our neighbors in the rib, hence the “damn Krauts” comments, but when you see us all together, you wouldn’t know it. Also, and that’s something that is important, although we fought the Wehrmacht, our beef wasn’t with the German grunts, it was with the Nazi regime. Had we been on the other side of the border, we’d have been Wehrmacht too. As a matter of fact, I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if I were to dig around in my distant relations and find that some of them were. I’d be more surprised if it wasn’t the case.

People need to learn to distinguish between Nazis and rank-and-file Germans. The ordinary German Landser was on the wrong side, but he was in every respect just the same as the rest of us, and they served (for the most part, but that’s the case in any army) honorably and valiantly. It wasn’t his fault that he was born on the wrong side of the border and, as a matter of fact, I’d have a great deal less respect for him if he hadn’t answered his nation’s call. Again: We’re not talking NAZIS here. Those bastards I have no use for, either the old kind or the neo-Nazi morons that infest the planet now.

A maternal grand-uncle in the 28th Infantry, and a distant uncle cousin of some sort in the 116th Panzer.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali - We can only hope there are more like her, where she came from; not least because she’s downright beautiful!

Thank you, Denmark, for once again doing what our country SHOULD do: stand on principle and refuse to cower in fear before the cretinous, backward monsters of the world.

I love denmark-they were they country who’s king wore a yellow star in solidarity with the jews during the third reich.

Sorry to burst your balloon, but according to the good folks at the Danish Resistance Museum in Copenhagen, that’s a myth. (I had the pleasure of visiting there 3 years ago.) The King did strongly urge his people to help the Jews, though.
