What We Need Now is an Industrial Grade Weed Whacker

And the MSM, wholly owned subsidiary of the DNC, continue their planting campaign during the debates. Strangely, almost all of CNN’s “undecided, concerned voters asking critical questions” seem to be avowed Democrat activists.
Something that can be found out by anybody with two minutes and knowledge of that mysterious device called “Google”, but is apparently too hideously arcane and complex for the impeccably credentialed journaljizzmers and their nine thousand, six hundred and umpty-nine layers of editors and researchers.
It must be CNN’s concern over glowbullshit wormening, because with all of those plants they’re making, they have made enough offsets to run a coal-fired megaplant for about nineteen centuries already.
Bias? What bias?

Maybe it is time for the Candidates to stop debating on “The Most Busted Name In [Fake] News”?
Nahhh. That would require a backbone and a set of stones. You could look for a year In D.C. and not find either.

The “General” Keith Cur. isn’t even a general. It seems he is a “retired Colonel”, with an honorary post retirement promotion, from something called the California National Reserve And there’s more So is this the national Guard or the Army Reserve? No, and no. What it is. Sounds to me as if this cur is somewhere between a Beauchamp and a McBeth. Queer in every sense of the word.

All of these debates are jokes anyway, especially CNN’s. But is anyone really surprised by this? I mean, it is CNN after all. Did anyone actually expect a fair shake from them?

I’m so disgusted I could hurl. I want a real debate on the seriousissues of our time . We are preparing to elect a god-damned President, not the mayor of Bumfuc, Indiana. The manipulation of the election process by the MSN to further a their agenda is sickening to me, but even more sickening is the willingness of these candidates to be manipulated.
I almost reached the point where I don’t give a shit anymore. It seems that almost everyone is looking to the goverment to take care of their every need.

How can anyone consider these things to be debates? There are way too many people, most have canned responses to canned questions, and the whole thing reeks of a well-produced, and well rehearsed game show.
Last night’s YouTube/CNN Republican debate was really no different than the Democrat’s planted questions a couple of weeks ago.
The questions were lame and the responses were even lamer. You can hear each question here, but I will just list them all for you — you already know the answers.
It is waaaay too early for debates. I think that we should just lock them all inside a room for six months and let them decide amongst themselves the top two or three to come out and run. THEN, they can have a DEBATE.

What I don’t get is why so many of the radio talk shows (at least as far as I heard today) are willing to accept mere incompetence as the explanation for why CNN “didn’t know” that so many of these questions were from Dem activists.
I usually don’t make accusations like this, but I’m just about certain that CNN knew about these people, and included them on purpose. The leve of incompetence required would not leave any room to produce intelligible reports, let alone accurate and informative.

Wayne,
The media has already chosen the two front runners in the election. The debates are nothing more than entertainment designed to make money for them. If they could have gotten Paris Hilton and Britney Spears to ask the questions they would have done it.
Yes, CNN knew what they were doing Anderson Cooper was asked right after the
debateshow why there weren’t questions that people really wanted answers to, and he just had this ‘deer-in-the headlights’ look as if he didn’t realize what he had just gone through. The proper way to do all of this is to have two candidates debate at a time. The winner of that debate goes on to debate the winner of another debate.

anderson blooper:
Candidate Jaybear (independant conservative) : The Stars and Bars was a BATTLEFIELD Flag, it was not the national flag of the Confederacy. It was designed as an alternative flag for the Confederate troops to carry into battle, as their national flag was too similar in appearance to the US Stars and Stripes….troops often mistakenly rallied to the wrong flag because of that similarity, resulting in tremendous losses. If you and the rest of the socialists in this country were honest about teaching our history Mr. blooper you’d know that. Why don’t you direct your outrage at a REAL racist symbol, like the flag of the nation of islam or ANYTHING with jesse jackson’s or sharpton’s picture on it.
(cut to camera three as anderson blooper shits himself and tries to go to a commercial break)
I’ll tell you something, I am losing my respect and belief in these Republican candidates and for the RNC in general…..why oh why do they continue to be manipulated and smeared by these yellow propagandist house monkeys? Why don’t they, as a united group, call these manipulative bastards on this and blacklist ANY future appearances on ANY of these shows….If I were a Republican candidate, and I don’t care how badly it hurt me in the polls, I’d refuse to participate in ANY debate that was moderated by ANY cnn or msnbc or msm media freak…..it would not be an act of cowardice, it would be a demonstration of my extreme low regard for their professionalism and their profession in general.

OK. That’s pretty good.
Really, though, he did show strong and effective leadership following the 9-11 atrocity. And who could forget when he shoved that eight figure check back into some sheik’s face after he suggested we needed to examine the “root causes” leading to that event. Given his background as a prosecutor and mayor, it is about all he has to run on, though. I’m pretty tired of hearing how he (personally, I guess) dramatically reduced the crime rate in NYC, even though it began to drop before he took office and continues to fall long after he’s left.
In fact, when you look at his complete platform, you have to wonder why he’s not still a Democrat.

At this point, I’d prefer a good old-fashioned coup.
A couple of divisions taking care of business in D.C., another division handling things at International House of Criminals in Turtle Bay, and Geraldo Rivera getting cut in half in the crossfire live on primetime. But that’s just me.

DJ,
I was just pointing out that Anderson Cooper claimed that they didn’t know things like the fact that Gen. Cur was a member of Hillary’s steering committee, and most of the people out there are letting them off, or perhaps actually believe, that this is true, and that the people responsible for vetting the questions and questioners were incapable of finding out information that only took minutes for independents to find with simple web searches.
In short, I wasn’t complaining about CNN, but the people who believe that they could be that incompetent and still be able to produce a show without blowing up all their equipment. It’s no different to me than the people who think Bush is some sort of evil genius who manipulates elections, is able to pull off massive conspiracies without getting outed, and even has the resources to influence the weather (Katrina), but still insist he’s a dumb as a stump.

That may well be but the VOTERS often manage to befuddle the experts and pick someone that was a real dark horse. It helps when a candidate self-destructs on national television. “We’re going on to blah blah blah YEEEAAAHHHHRRRRGGG!” Howard “Screaming” Dean.
What I’d like to see is a debate where someone like Thomas Sowell asks questions about economic policy, someone like Benjamin Netanyahu ask foreign policy questions and someone like Jim Gilchrist ask about border security, etc.
Why have a ‘debate’ where some talking head runs things? The idea is absurd. And to have it thrown open to YouTubers?
BTW Lady H aka Dori, or should I just go with Dori? Are you in transition or is the full thing permanent? Completely off-topic DJ but I’ve got an old Sony with Win ME and an AMD Duron processor. I thought I’d put xubuntu onto it (it only has 128 meg of memory so I couldn’t go for the full meal deal) and it wouldn’t load from the CD. Is the Duron processor the problem or is it because it’s a Sony? I don’t want to upgrade the ram, the computer isn’t worth the cost. and I just wanted to put xubuntu onto it so I could play with Linux.
I’ve got a Mac G4 I could play with but I have some stuff on there I might have a hard time replacing if I went back to OS X. It’s one I bought from work for $75 and no disks came with it. I don’t like to think about trying to do a restore on it. Like the Linux urge I only got it so I could play with a Mac OS. It would kind of defeat the purpose to load Ubuntu onto it.

As for planting their minions to “answer” questions, it really shows how desperate they are to grab power and stick it to your citizens. They will not answer honest questions from ordinary citizens because I don’t think they have any worthwhile answers. Using “parrots” is showing how deceitful they can be.

Quite alright Sir, I DO have a sense of humour, and yes, I love a good “poutine” once in a while
As for storing, definitively Beer, we store lots and lots of beer in our fridges! And we eat, well, lots of beef (Alberta Grade A beef, now you’re talking!) and a variety of other “exotic” dishes. And we love our lobster!
The donut eating I leave to somebody else, and yes, Canadians love their donuts (different spelling, same taste!). Don’t know what my fellow Canadian good LC ACLPoo prefers, he might offer different ideas… Personnaly, a delicious, done to perfection Grade A roast beef with a generous serving of fresh veggies and a good bottle of Merlot will always be my favourite! That being said, a nice, thick, juicy burger on the BBQ, topped up with all the trimmings is also the thing to do on a warm, sunny day, properly washed down with an ice-cold Sleeman’s Cream Ale… Geez, now I’m hungry!
As for demoassholescrats, NO BEER FOR YOU!

Yet it was indicated that ALL of the questioners were DNC plants.
I can’t claim it — I originally saw it at Wonkette and thought it was funny. (I love fun, what can I say?)
By what, attending every Yankees game he could find and getting his mug on all of the televisions? What exactly did Rudy do?
The man is pretty much toast anyways, unless the media continues to sit on the negative stories concerning Rudy’s love trips and hideouts on taxpayer money.
Except that Howard Dean wasn’t the chosen candidate for the Media. The people were “confounding” the powerbrokers by thinking Dean was their choice.
Here is the deal as I see it.
The media has picked Hillary (obviously) and Rudy as the “frontrunners” in the race. Most of the press is given to these two candidates. To hedge their bets, they will also cover Obama and Romney as antagonists for their front runners. They go where the money is, because they are eventually going to get the bulk of the money raised anyways.
They tend to ignore the “second-tier” candidates because they don’t have the money. They can’t get the money because nobody is really covering them. You would never really know that Chris Dodd and Joe Biden are running. When was the last time you even heard a story about Mike Gravel? (who?) Dennis Kucinich only gets coverage if he takes his pants off and streaks through Congress shouting “IMPEACH!” (which is almost the equivilent of shouting FIRE! in a crowded theater — everyone runs for the doors)
And what about MY personal favorite — and probably the sanest and most qualified Democratic candidate: Governor Bill Richardson? The only time I hear that he is still running is if they let him into the debate and once in, he might as well have a seat in the audience.
The Republican lineup is treated just about the same way. The Straight-Talk Express has lost a wheel and is just going in circles now. Tancredo barely gets press, and neither does Huckabee. Fredhorn Leghorn seems to deliberately shy away from the press. Ron Paul only gets press because he appears to appeal to some Liberals wanting to end the war. (they don’t look any further than that one-track obsession)
There are many of us who see Hillary as a Republican, just as there are many of you who see Rudy as a Democrat. I think that both would be disasterous for this country, but both have the backing of the mega-corporations, and silly us, that is who really decides who our choices are going to be.
Until we get public financing on our elections and get away from letting the corporations fund them, we are going to continue to slide deeper and deeper into corporate fascism.

I believe the Republicans need to get back to thier roots; small government, lower taxes and end the wasteful entitlement programs that are taxing hard working Americans to the max. Back in 1994 the GOP made a contract with America that was apparently used to wipe thier collective butts when they realised how much money they could make from lobbyists with thier new found power.(really trying not to be vulgar here) If you really would like to know what sort of conservative I am you should read the following two books both by Pat Buchanan; “A Republic Not an Empire” and “Where the Right went Wrong.” I hear it constantly stated that it is only the left wing hippies that oppose the war in Iraq, and while that is true to an extent, there are many conservatives(myself included) who opposed the Iraqi War on the principal that we should avoid foreign entanglements. Also, both parties are guilty of being slaves to the big media conglomerate, you can’t simply point to one party and make these claims they all bend over and take it up the proverbial tailpipe when it concerns big media. While our president did an exellent job with his tax cuts back in 2001, that’s only half the problem. The other half is curbing wasteful governemnt spending and I am very disappointed in the GOP on this issue. Again I look forward to debating these issues in the future with everyone on this blog and look forward to any comments and suggestions that may come my way. Also I’d like to hear everyone’s opinion on the fair tax, it sounds like a reasonable proposition to me.

I also find it interesting there was not one single question about Iran. CNN would have me believe that not one single person submitted a question regarding the situation with Iran that is looming just around the corner. As an active duty soldier in the US Army this is an issue that is extremely important to me. Let me get this straight, they allowed some dips*** to ask Rudy Giuliani why he rooted for the Red Sox, and they didn’t have time to mention Iran even once????????( HOW IN THE HELL IS ^%^*^ BASEBALL EVEN APPLICABLE TO A PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE ARRRRRRRG)
