Now that the green movement mask is off, displaying the thoroughly red faces, the One World Government Socialist Shitbags™ move right into the game of extortion on a scale that would humble even the most vicious Capo Di Tutti Capi. Hiking up their skirts to show the world their true red nether regions with no hint of shame, we bring you the next installment of Teh Plan™ for metastasizing their utopian wet-dreams.

The target? Funny you should ask that, the elite bourgeois class, their erstwhile supporters. Our Imperial Torturer™ nailed it right on the head, they aren’t even trying anymore to keep up the maskirova and showing all their cards. They must have found some really, really good shit in Bali for loading their bongs.

Luxury firms slammed for lacklustre moves to save planet

The luxury industry is not doing its bit to save the planet, according to a World Wildlife Fund study of the world’s 10 largest publicly-traded luxury firms.

In a study completed at the end of last month, the WWF environmental group chided luxury brands for being “slow to recognise their responsibilities and opportunities” vis-a-vis global warming and ethical trade and called on celebrities who help sell the brands to sit up and take note. [Emph Mine Throughout]

Ethical trade? Translation: Free market economic principles where a willing buyer and seller mutually agree on the price of an item for sale are unacceptable, vis-a-vis our cut. Such transactions are only acceptable to the state world-wide concerned peoples, if tribute, a piece of the action, a tax err, The Church of Gaia is paid considered by the involved parties.

A word here and a word there, as the skirt is pulled even higher, such a lovely deep shade of red.

“Many luxury consumers are part of an affluent global elite that is increasingly well educated and concerned about social and environmental issues,” said the WWF-UK study.

Buzz words again. Social and economic justice anyone?

“Successful people now want the brands they use to reflect their concerns and aspirations for a better world.”

Translations: The uber-rich useful idiots that have paid our tab to get this far, should really ratchet up those donations…..or else……

But the best score obtained by the world’s 10 luxury giants in the WWF’s ranking of A to F — best score to worst score — was a C+ by French luxury group L’Oreal. It was followed by Hermes and LVMH (owners notably of Louis Vuitton, TAG Heuer, Fendi, Marc Jacobs and top champagnes), both also of France and both also scoring C+s.

Silly me, here I thought the World Wildlife Fund was actually concerned about animals. Interesting how a loose network of various environmental groups, UN bureaucrats and political organizations are coalescing right on cue.

Bottom of the chart was Italian shoe and leather goods Tods, with an F. Italy’s Bulgari jeweller and luxury goods came second last, also with an F, while Swiss luxury conglomerate Richemont was third to bottom with a D.

Let the games begin !!!! You wouldn’t want your fellow travelers to catch you wearing Italian shoes from Tods, they got an “F” on their Socialist Succubi report, now would you?

The ranking, WWF said, was based firstly on reports by the companies themselves to the Ethical Investment Research Service (EIEIS) and secondly on media reports collected on these companies by a Geneva-based research house, Covalence.

Firstly? buuuwaaaaahhhaaaa…..Another articulate Journaljizmer displaying it’s writing acumen. Please allow me to edit that for you: “..was based primarily on reports..”

See, doesn’t that roll of the tongue much better? You’re welcome, and is that smell rancid patchouli or did your colostomy bag rupture again?

“Luxury companies must do more to justify their value in an increasingly resource-constrained and unequal world,” WWF said.

Translation: The proletariat wants cheaper, expensive shit, and MORE donations, until we finish Teh Scheme™ and then we’ll own it all.

“Given its global brand power the luxury industry should demonstrate greater leadership on this agenda.”

Would that be THIS agenda?

Likewise celebrities who lend their names to watch, bag and jewellery marketing campaigns should pay greater attention to a firm’s green credentials, the group.

Translation: Comrades we must ensure even more pressure must be put on the useful idiot class to contribute to the cause. We wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to their reputations now would we?

It cited in example Tods’ first celebrity ambassador, actress Sienna Miller, who campaigns against climate change with Global Cool but also endorses a group that registered bottom of the WWF table. “Tods may represent a liability to Sienna Miller’s reputation,” WWF said.

A little demonstration pour les autres. It doesn’t matter how much you ponied-up last month Sienna, prices go up ya’ know. Guido will be by a bit later to collect. [apologies to my buddy Guido, it’s just too good a moniker not to use in this context-JB]

“We call on celebrities worldwide to endorse only brands that are committing to social and environmental responsibility,” it added.

Or we will stop at nothing to make sure you get scratched from the “A” list parties, tickets to the Cannes Film Festival and forfeiture of your carbon-offset account balances. East River, Joisey Swamp or Jimmy’s adjacent plot?

Granny always said “If you sleep with dogs, you wake up with fleas”

You can drop it now, we’ve seen enough. Red head-to-toe. [Standing ovation from Marx’ and Engels’ flaming, tortured hands]

In other words, there are a lot of rich idiots out there who’ll pay extra to assuage their guilt for something that wasn’t their fault in the first place. Better yet, there’s a new market in which sharp entrepreneurs should be better able to fleece these very same rich idiots to the benefit of us all.

There you have it. Slap a green label on it, act like you’re “thinking globally and acting locally,” impress the right Hollyweird clotheshorses (if L. Ron Hubbard could do it, so can you) and you’ll be rolling in green of a different sort. And best of all… they’ll pay you do it.

    HJ,

It’s all in how you parse it:

“Successful people now want the brands they use to reflect their concerns and aspirations for a better world.”

“Shitheads with more money than brains want the crap they buy to make them feel better about things they don’t understand and couldn’t possibly affect if they did.”

Now, as you point out, the intent is to ram their retreaded mysticism down our throats. But recall: We’re dealing with people who have the net IQ of half a scoop of brick dust. Despite their apparent “success” most of them couldn’t reason their way out of a wet paper bag. When they get coercive, it’s a laugh riot to watch what happens when you lay their own “arguments” at their feet and challenge them to “pay up or shut up.”

The proper tone, I think, is to discern exactly what it is they want, then give to them in abundance — at cost plus 15 or so.

I mentioned L. Ron Hubbard earlier. The guy was, at best, a hack scifi writer. But legend has it that he was at a convention, listening to other writers bemoaning the fact that they were getting paid very little for their work. Hubbard allegedly said that if they were truly serious about their complaints, they’d quit writing and start a new religion. (The story goes from there as to how Hubbard quit writing scifi and, after a short hiatus, founded what became Scientology.)

We don’t even have to go that far. The New Religion is already here and in full blossom.

So by all means, plant those trees. Just be certain you sell the carbon credits to the nearest sucker successful, globally-minded person you can find. Then go buy a couple of acres in some untenable swamp and sell “ecocredits” for maintaining it as a “wetland.” (The possibilities are endless…)

It is, after all, a way for them to reflect their concerns and aspirations for a better world.

Glad we could be here to help.

    2 extremely good articles here.

This one for the next rockeater that squeals about “the big oil money corrupting science.
A Sample: “The political realm in turn fed money back into the scientific community. By the late 1990s, lots of jobs depended on the idea that carbon emissions caused global warming. Many of them were bureaucratic, but there were a lot of science jobs created too.

I was on that gravy train, making a high wage in a science job that would not have existed if we didn’t believe carbon emissions caused global warming.”

And this one for a fairly simple rebuttal of ice cores and basic scientific observation.

Another sample: “Our scientific understanding of global warming has gone through three stages:

    1985–2003
Old ice core data led us to strongly suspect that CO2 causes global warming.

    2003–2007
New ice core data eliminated previous reason for suspecting CO2. No evidence to suspect or exonerate CO2.

    From Aug 2007
Know for sure that greenhouse is not causing global warming. CO2 no longer a suspect.

The IPCC 2007 report (the latest and greatest from the IPCC) is based on all scientific literature up to mid 2006. The Bali Conference is the bureaucratic response to that report. Too bad that the data has changed since then!”

I have just had an absolutely fucking brilliant epiphany. We have all manner of celebrity crap weasles, government hacks, bureauweenies and various other folks for whom I have no sufficient perjoratives to describe, all screaming for socialist wealth redistribution. In some cases, such as this Bali-hoo, it is a demand for wealthy nations to immitate their third-world cousins. In other cases, it is internal (you know, “let’s give everybody a $1,000 IRA” or “let’s give every new baby a $5,000 baby bond” and soak “The Rich” to pay for it).

Fine. I propose it is time to put up or shut up. I want a new law: Each and every asshole who cuddles up with Hugo, screeches that the sky is falling due to climate change, or demands insantaneous universal health care will have their entire fortune confiscated to pay for their cause du jour. All their cars, all their designer clothes, all of their mansions, beach houses, ski retreats, and vacation properties, and all their private jets will be contributed to the Greater Good. All of their liquid assets will be placed in the public treasury to be spent on their beloved social programs, as will all of their income above that of the national average for an industrial line worker. Welcome to the Revolution, comrades.

The watermellons have taken the playbook right from the Nazi’s.

Manipulate the gullible and envious by making up a bogeyman; then make flashy audio visual images - using the same techniques that were perfected back in the 1930’s - and you have idiots rioting in the streets to support your cause.

The left has been using these techniques every since.

Take the World Wackjob Fund. Their latest bullshit propaganda piece on AGW has all these flashy techniques that idiots without common sense eat right up.

On another note; the oil for food scammer that drafted the Kyoto bullshit was quoted as saying, “the only way to save the planet is to make everyone poor”. Strangely, poor people have more pressing issues to worry about than being environmentally sensitive. Anyone that cannot grasp this concept is simply a useful idiot of the watermellon movement.

Now we’re getting down to it! Mindy1 asks why socialists would want to go green. Well, back in the late 70’s and early 80’s, the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts were being pushed through Congress. The argument used was simple and eloquent: “You like to breathe clean air and drink clean water don’t you?” Well of course you do. You want to live on a clean planet, don’t you? Of course you do! All you have to do is return to an agrarian society where all assets are controlled by the select few, private property is abolished for the good of all, group think is truth, belief in a Creator is counter-revolutionary, and individualism is antithetical to the march of progress!

A question: When ever the World Trade Organization meets to discuss globalization of the economy, the protesters are out in full force, worked into a rabidly frothing fury by the mere thought of the existance of the WTO, yet not a one has raised a mewling denoument to what is going on in Bali. I purchase nothing from any of these companies. My tastes and budget leaned towards Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Ruger, Ford, Chrysler and Sears. As odd as it may sound to many socialists, most of the men I know, rich and poor alike, remain very defensive and proud of what they themselves have acquired, be it humble or great. In this small town you bet they are. We have our losers and miscreants, to be sure, but the cops sit on them pretty hard. As for the rest of us? We do want to be fairly paid for what we do, in my mind determined by the marketplace and ones personal talents and motivations. You work harder you generally make more. I’m known for the former at work and yes, I am rewarded for it. As for we working stiffs? we do not want handouts, simply to be allowed to keep what is ours by the labor of our own hands and minds. I am far from rich, but we have many nice things and are comfortable. A basic middle class/working class existence. It took many years to get into the position where we are now homeowners, paying on a house, have paid off and own three late model vehicles and aside from one personal debt owe nobody anything. As for why socialists buy global warming? I can think of no better deception, none. Climate is fairly unpredictible, certainly uncontrollable and often unexpected, necessitating in the minds of socialists a perfect opportunity to maintain their controls and desires to counter any imagined possibility. Folks such as I take a simpler approach, as witnessed by my emergency supplies and power generation capabilities here at home, not to mention food, water, cash, medications and the means of defending the same. The socialists tell me I owe it to everyone else to give away what I have worked for. But weather and climate? In my mind this is letter perfect for these people. I find them to be generally loser personalities, violent and rude, knowing nothing of honor, little of respect or decency. I can’t say I know how this will play out…I do know I will remain quiet and play my cards close.

Its funny how they blend it all togethter in some utopian, high-fillutin elitism. Just last night while trying to watch the weather channel storm specs, it was interupted with a documentary on forecast earth (or something ). This, as I was having trouble finding estimates of snow/sleet for the next 16 or so hours. There is nothing wrong with that picture. “DO not adjust your dial!” It’s all nicely interwoven ; talking about dead zones in waterways; then on to the finale on global climate failure; and ” now we pause from a word from our current climate - UGLY”

Has anybody pondered why the Goremorons and all their other greenie, commie-rad contemporaries are now so openly blatant about their true Marxist agenda? They are usually pretty good at obfuscating their real intentions… Could it be the sum-bitches believe they have already won? Just maybe they’re certain the dildocrats are going to lie their way into the Whitehouse and finally create the worldwide critical mass of sympathetic leaders to shove socialism up our collective (and gullible), we-care-about-the-environment-too asses? It’s the only explanation that makes sense! What fuckin’ arrogance!

    Two thoughts:

    1. No. We want shit that is good quality that will not have to be replaced in a week.

    2. I get so tired of nutroots who claim to speak for others. It is as tiresome as when DJ keeps trying to tell us what a “Majority” of Americans think about a given subject. The next person who claims to be speaking for me who I did not expressly gve that authority to is likely to get my size 14 wedged firmly in their rectal cavity…if I can fit it in around their overly inflated heads.

Strangely, poor people have more pressing issues to worry about than being environmentally sensitive. Anyone that cannot grasp this concept is simply a useful idiot of the watermellon movement.

Or , ideally for their agenda, people too busy caught up in the compliance trap to actually resist.

Amen to Blackiswhite, IAP. Liberals are married to “we” or “what people want”, with the chutzpa to speak for everyone or “most people”. I should verify “green sincerity” and their positions before doing business with them? I’ll start to consider whether there is any merit in their argument when:

    1) The rich politicians and actors tear down their mansions and put up a normal sized house. It won’t do any good to just sell it because that will not reduce the “carbon footprint” of the house if someone else just moves in. Then I might believe they are trying to do something for good for the Earth.

    2) The hippie asshats that say we owe them a piece of the pie got, and held, a job longer than it takes to re-qualify for unemployment. It can be an eye opener when after five years dedicated work on a job you can start to see a benefit. Benefit what you want, give your “excess” earnings away for all I care. Just don’t tell me I owe someone just because I put in extra effort.

I know I can speak for BisW, that…..maybe I’d better not go there :em93:

Ah, I see, they eco-nuts want and a “revolution” and an “inquisition” all rolled up in one!

And of course, we, as citizens of the New Order, would have to receive the approval of clueless “celebrities” before we buy anything lest these same celebrities be offended by our choices, I mean, we’d only be the peasantry in this scenario after all…

    So, “they” already decided that:

1 - “they” are in charge”
2 - “they” already decided that they know what’s best for everyone
3 - “they” already have “celebrities” endorsing them and their “myth turned dogma”
4 - “they” will dictate what we can and cannot do
5 - “they” will raise more and more taxes to line their pockets and keep us in servitude
6 - “they” will do whatever is necessary to remove national sovereignty and take control
7 - “they” will dictate through our own politicians
8 - “they” will make communism look like a kindergarden story

Wonder at which point will they break out the guillotine for those who refuse to fall in line…

The luxury industry is not doing its bit to save the planet, according to a World Wildlife Fund study of the world’s 10 largest publicly-traded luxury firms.

“Many luxury consumers are part of an affluent global elite that is increasingly well educated and concerned about social and environmental issues,” said the WWF-UK study.

The message is clear as a belle: (with Bali-wide consensus)

The next time you’re sitting around on a mega cruise ship, oil-guzzling yacht, or a private jet gobbling jet-fuel in a holding pattern, while nibbling Russian caviar and sipping dom perignon; turn to the Captain or chief concierge servant in charge and rip them a new one for catering to such spoiled self-indulgent persons of high-class — such as yourself. Here’s a scenario…

Stewart “Captain, we have a passenger ranting and screaming about all the damage we are presently doing to the environment by flying this big bird, and also that the caviar isn’t as fresh as it could be”

Captain “OK, so what is the passenger proposing, that I cut out the engines and glide to the airport!?!?”

Stewart “I’ll ask him…” “Yes, he says that’s a great idea, as long as he’s not late”

Captain “Please tell this fuckhead that I’m flying this plane and I know what I’m doing and obviously he doesn’t have a f.cking clue as to what he is talking about… and that caviar is fresh, I picked it myself 1 hour before takeoff!”

Stewart “Captain, the passenger said you were a moron and that he knew better than you since gliding doesn’t use any fuel and does not harm the environment, he ought to know he’s with Greenpeace he says”

Captain “I’m going to open the door and throw this fuckhead OUT!”

Stewart “Captain! We’re at 35,000 feet!”

Captain “Damn, sorry ’bout that, I’ll climb to 38,000 feet THEN throw the bastard out!”

Stewart “Ah, much better Capt, I’ll help you!”

:em69: Hardclimber– Good old human ingenuity works. The good ship Grennpeace: “Eye-eye, Cap… overboard on the starboard side. Shark bait anyone?” Victimhood is such a terrible thing to waste:

Climate victim Climate change is no longer a matter of scientific speculation. It is one of the greatest environmental, social and economic threats facing the world and humankind today.

A news report last week said that the Philippines was the world’s top climate victim in 2006, the year during which it was struck by storms that killed more than 1,000 people and caused billions of pesos in losses. According to a report by Germanwatch, an environment and development organization, the Philippines rose to No. 1 climate victim last year from 51st in 2005.

*a hint someone may be catching on:

There is little we can do to alter extreme weather events unless a scientific way is discovered not only to mitigate typhoons but to make them dissipate or, at least, change their paths so that they would cause the least harm.

*Next year, can they hold it at say North or the South pole? – weather permitting of course. (lets start a petition :em03: )
