…asks alert reader LC spiffus, and His Imperial Majesty can only agree. The only thing to “consider” in this case is how to best prolong the agony of the swine perpetrators as they’re excruciatingly slowly tortured, maimed and mutilated to death.

Anderson and McEnroe, both 29, were each charged with six counts of aggravated first-degree murder. Authorities say they have confessed. Conviction on aggravated first-degree murder in Washington is punishable only by death or life in prison without possibility of parole, and Satterberg said he would give “serious consideration” to the death penalty.

“Serious consideration”, you say?

Well, why don’t we go through what those two beasts did?

Anderson was upset that her parents were insisting that she pay rent for the trailer she was living in on their property, and teed off as well that they had dared to not take her side in a dispute with her brother over some money that she had allegedly let him borrow. So what to do?

Court documents said McEnroe, a store clerk, and Anderson, who is unemployed, told detectives they armed themselves on Christmas Eve and went to her parents’ home near Carnation, about 25 miles east of Seattle. There, they confronted Anderson’s parents, Wayne Anderson, 60, and Judy Anderson, 61, in their living room.

[…]

Satterberg said Michele Anderson fired once at her father’s head but missed. McEnroe stepped in, leveled his gun and fatally shot Wayne Anderson in the head, documents said.

Judy Anderson heard the shots and ran from the back room where she had been wrapping gifts. She was shot by McEnroe, who apologized to her before shooting her again, this time in the head, the court documents said.

Oh, but they weren’t done yet, not at all. Executing her own parents wasn’t enough for the trailer trash bitch and her demented boyfriend:

Satterberg said that the two dragged the bodies to a shed behind the house, used towels and carpets to sop up blood stains and awaited the arrival of Anderson’s brother, Scott. He was due for a Christmas Eve visit with his wife, Erica, and children Olivia, 6, and Nathan, 3.

Her brother and sister-in-law put up a brave struggle, according to the documents. Scott Anderson charged her when she pulled out the gun, and was shot up to four times, records say.

Michele then shot Erica Anderson twice, but she was able to crawl over the back of a couch to call 911, authorities said. McEnroe told detectives he tore the phone from Erica’s hands and destroyed it.

Huddling with her children, Erica Anderson pleaded with McEnroe not to shoot her, saying: “You don’t have to do this.”

“Yes, we do,” McEnroe was quoted as replying in the affidavit. He fired at her head, authorities said.

After murdering her brother and his wife in front of their two children you would think that she and her boyfriend, perhaps, had had their bloodlust sated. Again, you’d be wrong:

Satterberg said that McEnroe apologized to both of the children before he shot 6-year-old Olivia. He then turned to 3-year-old Nathan, who had picked up the batteries from the cordless phone his mother had used in her futile attempt to call for help, court documents said.

McEnroe than fired one last bullet through Nathan’s head, according to the affidavit.

Three-year-old tot, frightened and most likely not quite understanding what he has just witnessed, tries to pick up the batteries to his murdered mother’s phone and is promptly rewarded with a bullet in the face.

And the prosecution is considering the death penalty???

There should be no consideration here. Fuck, there shouldn’t even be a trial. They did it, they’ve confessed that they did it, so get on with the execution and make it slow. Really, really slow. So fucking slow and horrid that it’ll make Shaitan himself vomit with disgust. If none of the pussies up there have the stomach for it, I’ll gladly volunteer my services.

And I’ll enjoy every last second of it.

They’ll get a lib lawyer who will insinuate that the demon called “Michele” was “abused” by its parents and was suffering from “Battered Child Syndrome” and therefore was not responsible for her “acting out.” The lib lawyer will then say the rat dropping called “McEnroe” was only trying to “protect” his consort from the eeeeviiil parents and cannot be held responsible for its behavior either.

Impalement is the first thing that pops into my head. Or there’s always crucifixion. There’s a reason the Romans used it — it’s a slow, horrible way to die. Or what’s that one the Vikings used, where they opened up the rib cage? That sounds like fun too.

What kind of a complete and utter disconnect from being a human being do you have to have to DO something so vile as this? Soulless, egocentric wasters of oxygen without an atom of mercy in their black body pumps…it floors me.

You know what? - Never mind the disconnect, this is beyond excuse of any sort, even in simply the natural human attempt to find some, ANY, understanding of their actions. NOTHING can in even the tiniest measure explain what they did, at least on this side of the life/death continuum. They need to start looking for their forgiveness/eternal penance on the other side. They had 6 chances to stop, and they. Did. Not.
We are done with them here.

It’s supposed to be rather hot where they are headed - preferrably sooner rather than later. I don’t think ‘enjoy’ would be the right word for it for me, Misha, but I could and would push the button, thinking about those 6 people, and especially those two little tykes as I did so. ‘Justified’, might fit.

Of course it is societys fault or Bushes’s fault, but not their fault. Same old game wiht these people. Oh I need to understand … understand which method of extermination is not only the most painful, but which prolongs consciousness long enough for these two to experience just a taste of what awaits them on the other side of the vale. And btw, extermination would be the correct word here. One exterminates ANIMALS and executes humans. These two lost their humanity (if they ever had it in the first place) as soon as they carried out their plan.

    Misha,

Understand that these two are going to be tried with the death penalty as an option for the jury. The reason why there is a need to “consider” is that it is a legal tactic to show that the prosecution carefully weighed its options before going ahead with it.

It is also a delaying tactic for the prosecution so that they can use the time they are “considering” to put together a stronger case. If the prosecutor were to jump off quickly with his intent to seek the death penalty, then the speedy trial tolling begins at that time.

The prosecutor can file formal charges for the six counts of murder, and the 60-day speedy trial time starts at that time. He can then amend those charges with his intent to seek the death penalty, and the sixty days starts all over again.

Dan Satterberg is a Republican in the heavily Democratic King County. He replaced Norm Maleng who died last spring and won his own election this past November because he was so much like Norm — who wasn’t afraid to push for the death penalty in most cases.

The one time he didn’t push for the death penalty (and it pissed a whole lot of people off) was in the Gary Ridgway (Green River Killer) case. In that case, he had to weigh the penalty with the opportunity to clear scores of cases and finally give closure to hundreds of victim’s families. He could have easily gotten the death penalty through the court on the one or two cases Ridgway was tried for, but it never would have cleared the other cases where he was suspected.

But this current case in Carnation (talk about a place where there is a lot of in-breds) will result in both being convicted and both getting the death penalty.

    I have no doubt.

Were you expecting these two people to be armed 24/7/365 in or about their own homes in case their family members come to kill them?

We don’t know whether these two had guns in the house or not — it probably wouldn’t have changed the outcome unless they were strapped already and expected trouble from the daughter and her boyfriend.

But yes, IF the husband and/or wife had a gun in their physical possession, it might have been different. The element of surprise was in strong force. Nothing could have changed what happened.

I’m rarely far from a firearm, whether at home or away. If you have a Concealed-Carry Permit you should exercise it frequently.

We don’t know what kind of a childhood the Andersons’ provided for their bitch-monster of a daughter, but it may show that no matter how hard we, as parents try, it all ends up being a crap shoot. I’ve seen the best of parents fucked over by their nasty offspring. I’ve seen great kids emerge from the worst of families.

So far my son seems to be doing ok. Fiinshed his 1st semester of collage with a 3.0 average. He’s mildly conservative and there’s still hope for the future. He’s got the usual collage freshman world view, but he’s bright enough to be wary of politicians and skeptical of his professors.

By all means have a trial. Should take about 30 minutes. Execution of sentence should take place the next morning — hanging, lethal injection, firing squad, the means is immaterial. Their bodies should be left on display until they rot.

I’m really tired of this s**t.

That whole area between Fall City/Carnation/Snoqualmie has a surreal atmosphere around it. Probably one of the major reasons they filmed the Twin Peaks series up there.

Maybe some of the LEO types or BlackisWhite can answer a question for me, there was a 911 call from the house…lasted not more than 10 seconds. The dispatcher heard what sounded like a loud party going on and then the call ended. When King County deputies arrived to check out the scene, they found a locked gate and left the scene…never bothering to open it up and investigate. Is there some legal reason that they didn’t proceed past the gate to check out the house?

I can probably answer that, Jay. There are a lot of survival-types living in that area that don’t like the cops or the government. There are also a lot of meth labs and ultra-right wingers that make all of you look like communists. You don’t go onto someone’s property there unless you are invited or have a lot of backup. I went to school with a lot of those people and still know a few that live there.

Being Christmas Eve, there probably weren’t more than a couple of cops in that entire end of the county.

I believe that Fall City, Snoqualamie, and Carnation all contract their police services to the county, and that is a LOT of square miles for one or two cops to cover. So unless there was something obvious from the street, and there was more than one ten-second phone call to 9/11, the cops probably felt nothing was wrong.

either you are a long term resident of Wa. state or you are a psychic. Your ten step program is pretty accurate….I’ve had dealings twice with the King County judicial system up here, both times as a plaintiff. I helped catch a child molester sneaking into a girls locker room at a locker pool, clocked him with a little league baseball bat (my boys and I had just finished with a baseball practice) when he resisted me, second time was when a drunken drug addled renter on my block took 5 pistol shots at me and teenage neighbors for setting off fireworks at a block party. Both times I saw these creeps walk away because of a sympathetic judge “considering” their troubled pasts as the trigger for their actions. I got threatened for contempt in the first case for asking the judge if he had “considered” the pasts that the 14 year old girls would have to deal with if this bastard had gotten hold of them…..second time, I asked the prosecutor who plead down the charges to a misdemeanor what lesson was learned from all of this. When he looked at me kind of confused, I told him that I had learned that I can go home, load one of my pistols…go up the bastard’s house who shot at me….shoot at HIM and not be afraid of anything more than a slap on the hand. He then said something about that being against the law and I just laughed at him…..our tax dollars at work

    sometimes I miss vigilantism….

Didn’t have time to go through the thread ’till now, but that was the question in MY mind as well when I saw that remark.

    Why not?

If not when you’re with your family, then when?

OK, I can see the argument in favor of “they were visiting with family for Christmas, ferchrissakes, how were they to know that they’d be gunned down by their own kin?” True enough. But you still have to get there and back, don’t you? Who’s to say what you might run into on the way? What if you have to stop at a 7/11 or a gas station for gas or smokes or even a soda for the kids? Goblins work the holidays too, you know, and unless you have a really bulletproof deal with the Big Guy Upstairs, I don’t think that you’re exempt from the law of averages.

It’s anybody’s personal choice, of course, and I’m not going to tell people what to do and what not to do, but I personally never go anywhere without my Personal Protection Plan™. Friends, family, you name it, I’ll be packing and it’s not because I’m worried that my loved ones are going to whack me. Them, I trust. It’s the rest of humanity that I’d rather be safe than sorry about.

I’d rather lug the old .45 iron around and occasionally feel like a fool for doing so (not that I ever do) than feel like an even bigger fool because I decided to leave it at home the day I needed it. An even bigger and quite a bit deader fool. Besides, if it’s become a habit to strap it on whenever I leave the house (assuming that I ever took it off while inside, which often isn’t the case), then I’m also sure that I won’t ever forget. Boots, car keys, gun, jacket, good to go.

But, once more just to make clear that I’m not criticizing the victims here: I can perfectly understand why somebody WOULDN’T feel it necessary to bring a firearm to a family get together (unless it’s the kind of “family” where everybody has a nickname and an Italian last name, of course), I just wish that they had, and I commend the brother for doing the only correct thing when ambushed: He charged into it. It sadly didn’t work this time, but it was the only chance they had and he took it instead of cowering in a corner and presenting an easier target the way the liberals keep telling us we should do.

It took guts and he did it. I salute that. The man died a hero, protecting his family.

The way I understand it, this happened at the PARENT’s house. THEY were home.
Should they have been expected to carry around guns in their own house when their daughter and her boyfiend (spelling intentional) come to visit?

I know my family are made up of sharks and other dangerous characters, (I come from a family of lawyers, investment brokers, and state department personnel) and maybe I should be armed when they come over to visit.

The point is, you don’t normally have your guard up when your family comes to visit. You might have loud verbal arguments — you might even have a good fist fight. But you aren’t expecting your daughter and her boyfiend to slaughter you and your entire family.

The main reason I think this crime will require the death penalty is because it was planned out ahead of time. This was no spur-of-the-moment thing, they put themselves in control of the environment and took their victims by surprise. They knew to kill the youngest ones last because they posed the least threat to them.

But hey, I checked out that Death Penalty website where New Jersey voted to abolish the death penalty.

Part of me is all right with that…

    .
    ..

    ….
    …..

(you want to yell at me, right?)

    ……
    …….
    ……..
    ………

I said PART of me — quit yer yelling!

The part that thinks this would be all right would like to replace the Death Penalty with something like, say…

Or better yet torture them so badly that they will beg for death. After all for a ctime this horrible it’s a shame you can’t kill em twice. I’ll clarify one point here that I did not indicate in my previous postings…I did not mean to indicate that one should be armed at home in order to protect oneself from family members, but to protect them from violent and dangerous people from without. We generally don’t think of family members as lethal threats, one reason we tend to relax at home.

    There is that too.

I lived and went to school in Issaquah. I am more than a bit familiar with the people in Carnation.

It was an isolated area years ago, and I am sure they’ve gotten a gene infusion since then.

But it wasn’t all that uncommon for a brother to knock up his sister, half-sister, or cousin back then.

I’m not saying that it is like that now — I think a lot of the people there now are all “outsiders” (their families weren’t there fifty years or longer). They became the meth cooks, and trailer people. The orignal people were farmers, mostly inter-related due to the fact that there were only four families in Carnation.

DJ, I can respect you for your work with vets, and probably something else, were I to think about it, but the complete and utter sneering ignorance of the following quotation just plain pisses me off. It is not just this but extends to your comments that people from Idaho were all neo-nazis, or some such horseshit in an earlier post that is pure stupidity.

The orignal people were farmers, mostly inter-related due to the fact that there were only four families in Carnation.

First of all, incest is not merely a rural phenomenon. It occurs in cities as well as any other perversion.

Second, I have family living outside Klamath Falls, OR, who have been on the land for over 100 years. There were very few families there at first. The family married outside the area and is anything but inbred. My own grandfather managed to find a wife in early 1900’s Umatilla, OR, so he did not have to marry his horse. Many families in small communities are interrelated and not incestuously so.

Third, I’m surprised you missed this disgusting little factoid. Bestiality is more common in the country than the city, mainly due to access. I knew teenage guys who had sex with mostly fillies or mares. No, I was never even interested in a piece of horse’s ass, thank you very much.

Step three: Guilty. Sentenced to life in prison cuz the WA gubmint bends over for those who threaten to hold hands and sing Kumbaya during anti-death penalty candlelight vigils no matter how heinous the crime.

31 People have been sentenced to die
    4 have been executed
    1 took his own life
    19 had their sentences reversed
    1 released (wrongly accused)
    3 murdered in prison
    1 died of medical complications
    2 are being retried
    0 Commuted by the Governor

It isn’t the government, it is the Courts finding errors.

    OK OK OK… Let’s see… by my calculations…

    1) Washingstoned has a pathetic 13% success rate in transitioning goblins to Hell. 29% if you count the help it got from other goblins, self execution, and a Kevorkian Special. Totally unacceptable. F- No dessert for Pussington, tonight… Go to your room!

    2) 19 sentences reversed and 2 retrials??? That’s 2/3rds of your homies scheduled to assume room temperature! Your shitting me, right? Let me guess, the judges never met an uncrossed “T” or undotted “i” they didn’t like?

    3) No Commuted Sentences - well, at least someone in the system is doing their fuckin’ job!

    4) Pssst! DJ! Hate to tell you this, but the courts ARE a part of government!

(Sorry, Deej, I keep forgetting I’m not in Texas, anymore. Texas KNOWS how to treat a goblin to a good time!)

I don’t know what history books you have on your shelves, but you may want to consider this link:

Did I need a history book? Consider who put this “history” together. Did you expect the non-flattering stuff to end up there?

We had Entwhistles all over the place in junior high and high school in the mid-1960s. They have a HUGE extended family with about thirty different names — but they are still related one way or the other. You got into an argument or a fight with one of them and you were in the argument or fight with ALL of them.

First of all, incest is not merely a rural phenomenon. It occurs in cities as well as any other perversion.

Well, first off, if I left you with the impression that I considered all farmers in all areas to be like what they had in Carnation, I apologize. I was only speaking of Carnation, because it is a place I am familiar with.

Third, I’m surprised you missed this disgusting little factoid. Bestiality is more common in the country than the city, mainly due to access. I knew teenage guys who had sex with mostly fillies or mares. No, I was never even interested in a piece of horse’s ass, thank you very much.

Well, I heard of one kid — he was from Redmond — who was caught with the goat, but frankly I never paid that close of attention to any of that stuff. They changed the school district boundaries in my last two years of school so I never had to deal with that crap again.

As a rule, us Bellevue kids never hung around the Carnation and North Bend kids. We had absolutely nothing in common.

    Fanusi,

I do believe that every culture, everywhere, has regarded the murder of your own kin as the worst crime possible.

Unless you are a woman living in the US, and you want to abort your child. Then, apparently, it’s acceptable.

Interestingly enough, our local newspaper recently had an article about the great state of Texas. Apparently, if an outsider kills an unborn child, it’s murder. If the mother does it, it’s simply an abortion. Go figure.

Emperor (from way back in #40)

OK, I can see the argument in favor of “they were visiting with family for Christmas, ferchrissakes, how were they to know that they’d be gunned down by their own kin?” True enough. But you still have to get there and back, don’t you? Who’s to say what you might run into on the way? What if you have to stop at a 7/11 or a gas station for gas or smokes or even a soda for the kids? Goblins work the holidays too, you know, and unless you have a really bulletproof deal with the Big Guy Upstairs, I don’t think that you’re exempt from the law of averages.

    [emphasis: mine]
Just heard this on the way home from work this morning: “RICHMOND — A sharp-eyed Richmond police officer on Saturday night located the candy-apple red Dodge Charger carjacked at gunpoint earlier that day from state Senate President Pro Tem Don Perata.”
It doesn’t matter who or where you are, sometimes bad things are going to happen.

You probably don’t even need to have the death penalty. Life imprisonment, no chance of parole, and confined with regular prison population.

One of the things that I do agree with Bill O’Reilly on is you get rid of the Death penalty, you put a prison in the middle of the great Alaska wilderness and have them serve their time, without parole, busting rocks. Don’t bust enough rocks this week, lose your blanket and so on.

Want to leave, fine, but it’s a three week trek to the closest signs of civiliztion. Better have your Rambo skills up to snuff.

    BC, you are very bad.

It is generally as Skyechild stated. Killing one’s family is highly stigmatised. I moved from WA state in the early ’60’s, but prior to that, we had a horrible event in the little community of Valley Chapel (outside Walla Walla) where we lived. A woman shot her husband and at least three, maybe four kids dead. I will not name the family, because some still carry the scars.

I am rather hesitant to allow psychiatric defenses in such an horrendous crime, but here is what happened. The woman was a Catholic with a large family and a good stable marriage. There were no outward problems until the woman gave birth to a Down’s Syndrome baby, and could not cope with it. Previously, she had ben immensely liked in the community and lots of fun. Something died in her.

She began threatening suicide and then to kill the whole family. Intervention by the parrish priest and local psychiatric social workers yielded less than zilch. The fuckwit shrink said the husband just wanted to get rid of his wife. Soon thereafter she got a gun and killed 4-5 of her family, while two survivors ran to a neighbors.

So what’s the point? It certainly isn’t justification. It is a difference in motives. One killer fleeing devils, another pair rationally and coldly murdering their family.
