…or perhaps there’s some other reason why he’s all of a sudden whining and screeching about Hot Air.
Criticism is fine, His Majesty can be as mean as eviscerating as the next guy (and that’s when we’re feeling in a particularly happy mood), but when somebody like Drudge, with a site design that looks like something thought up by a high-school dropout who failed “HTML 101″ in spite of numerous complimentary after-class blowjobs, is talking smack about Hot Air’s “lack of polish”, it’s hard to not die laughing.
Not to mention that it’s somewhat funny to hear somebody who made his name almost entirely by lifting stories from Local6 (still his preferred method of “reporting”, it would seem) whimpering about those new “upstarts.”
Looks like you’re busy becoming that which you once claimed to be rebelling against, Mattie.
Oh, and speaking about “upstarts”, when was your last trip to Iraq, Matt?

Welcome to the mainstream media, Matt. Not.
March 19th, 2007 at 7:06 PMUsing
Matt Drudge was a pioneer. He made a lot of stories that the “old media” would have brushed under the rug front page stuff. I have high regards for his history.
Unfortunately, Matt’s history is all history. Lately his site is losing traffic, and he hasn’t been playing his “A” game.
He was great two years ago, but he’s two years ago, now.
Sorry, Matt. It was a good ride while it lasted.

I hate to say this but I’ve only been to HotAir a couple of times since Ms Malkin and co. trashed Wild Bill on her blog when he came forth with that info about that “kid” that was accusing Mark Foley of trying to seduce him via a chatroom or e-mail. (Cannot remember which) The kid was actually an adult, but none of that matters anymore because Foley is gone as he should be, so let’s not debate it.
The point is, she treated our guys like idiot upstarts, and I even removed HotAir and her own website from my blogroll. Not that it matters, because I only have a tiny readership, but I felt right about it.
And Allahpundit used to seem like a really nice guy, but I think the fame he has now, working with Michelle, has gone to his head. He used to at least acknowledge comments or questions made to him.
So, I’m sorry if I don’t have any sympathy for her. But I call it “karma”. Why should I defend her when she wasn’t there for us?

I visit HotAir exclusively for Allah Pundit. I find Bryan an insufferable “Church Lady” and Michelle’s instigation of a coordinated attack against Coulter reprehensible.

I don’t get it…
Why the hell should Matt Drudge care what’s on Hot Air or how its presented?
I mean I for one am glad that both Drudge and Ms. Malkin have sites and put energy and effort into their respective sites…
March 19th, 2007 at 8:10 PMUsing
That’s what happens when your readership is dropping like blood from a broken nose. Since Drudge didn’t exactly build his “empire” on high class shenanigans, this is just silly. Grow up, Matt.
March 19th, 2007 at 8:28 PMUsing
Drudge has be come a mothpiece for the ragheads lately, Just like the rest of the Librull MSM
March 19th, 2007 at 9:06 PMUsing
Give Drudge credit. He got alot of mileage out of Clintons semen. :smile_wp:
March 19th, 2007 at 9:27 PMUsing
I wasn’t too pleased about that myself, Heather. As a matter of fact, I was plenty pissed off. They had no trouble trashing Wild Bill all over the place and writing post after post about it, but not one little link to the one without whom there wouldn’t have been a story in the first place.
And then there’s the whole Ann Coulter nonsense.
Anyway, I’m by no means a Hot Air fanboy mortally insulted that somebody would talk smack about them (ME? a FANBOY? of ANYBODY? - lol), I just think that Dwudge is being a retard here, and we all know how I feel about Idiotarians, don’t we? :smile1_tb:
Yes, Dwudge was a pioneer, no doubt about it, but now he’s just another elitist snob.
With a pathetic site design. It makes my eyes fucking bleed.

I very seldom visit Drudge. I very seldom visit Hot Air. So all this is like hearing that your best friend’s next door neighbor’s girlfriend and her ex are feuding. You might know em…but not enough to care who’s getting their panties in a wad or why.
March 19th, 2007 at 10:00 PMUsing
ehhhh….
I only visit Drudge because he links to all of the news sites. As for Hot Air, I find the low quality of the videos kind of irritating, so I would rather READ Michelle than see her try to be a video star.
So if you really want to get pissed about something, Michelle links to protest shits in Portland Burning a Soldier in Effigy
Now can we hurt them?
March 19th, 2007 at 10:31 PMUsing
It’s kind of funny, really, since I’m not a fan of either Drudge or Hot Air. I always thought of Drudge as a rumor-monger and Hot Air a bit on the snobby side (especially after the Ann-Coulter-calling-Silky-Pony-a-faggot affair).
I like my fellow conservatives with an edge, like His Rottiness and Ann Coulter.

Don’t worry about a fire-proof suit from Me Lady H, I got booted from HotAir by allahpundit a long time ago, way too damn cocksure if you ask me.
The toned down version of my signature just didn’t meet with his sensibilities.

Lady Heather and Misha thanks for remembering me. I think it is about time someone said something to Michelle to ruffle her feathers. I hope Drudge will address this and let everyone know just what his beef is. I left a comment about my view of this over at Hot Air. If I wasn’t banned before this I probably will join L.C. Rowane in the booted from Queen Malkin’s Castle category. You might enjoy this smack down, then again you might not.

jaMo (#9) says:
Excuse me if I find this statement a bit bizzare but are you saying that in some way that I’ve yet to discern Matt Drudge is now an apologist (to strong a term?) for the terrorist towel heads?
I mean its the Drudge Report that I have as a homepage when I boot up the browser and my own impression is that Drudge wants everyone to know just how whacked out the terrorist towel heads are but hey, that’s just my opinion…
Regarding those that were whining incessantly about Ms. Coulter and her use of the word, ‘faggot‘ well I just have to wonder how good their command of the English language is…
Ann Coulter calls John Edwards a “faggot”
Some over at Hot Air (i.e. Ms. Malkin) and other alledgedly conservative sites sure worked themselves into a lather over this…
Which libtards were these conservatives trying to impress…
Did these same self described conservatives forget that Ms. Coulter was refering to Isiah Washington and his stint at counseling?

Michelle Malkin and Byran from Hot Air threw the first punches in the Malkin vs. Drudge show down, you can find their first round of Drudge dissing here and here.
Interesting how Michelle feigns victim status when she is the one that called me and Drudge “The conservative outing mob.”

What gives it away? Her seemingly 50% linkrate to her own PJM venture?
I visit both Drudge and Malkin regularly. To piss on each others shoes in an effort to prove Conservative Blogosphere Supremity™ is like breaking your pitcher’s arm in your local Softball league, simply because he’s your opponent in the finals of the bowling league tomorrow night. Perspective, guys, perspective. You’re both pretty good at what you do. Go bash the moonbats, not each other.
Either that, or you both go to bed without your blankies tonight.

Juandos, I swear, half the time I go to post, you already said what I wanted to.
I am so glad to see concerning that whole mess her swipe. And I’m not a huge fan of Ann’s either. I think she makes good points, but has gone over the top lately.
March 20th, 2007 at 10:31 AMUsing
My take on this, almost exactly. I have never frequented Drudge, and have never cared for Malkin’s perspectives much.
I do, on occasion, enjoy the VENT videos. I actually developed a tolerance for Malkin after viewing several of them. They did a particularly good send-up of the Gathering of Eagles, but I must say I was disgusted with HotAir’s treatment of the Anne Coulter ‘faggot’ incident. Bryan acted like an idiot.
This little, “feud,” though, reminds me of my sixth-grader, who recently got into a fight on the playground with one of his classmates. Five minutes later, they’re friends again.

I do not know what is going on at HotAir as of late but the constant threats of “Banning” unless you suck up to the ever Politically Correct opinions of AllahPundit are really getting annoying.
He has banned most of the best posters in the forum for simply not cow towing to his world view.
I like Drudge and HotAir but do not understand the attacks on conservatives. Like WildBill says, another conservative thrown under the bus.
Oh and Rowane I miss you at HotAir.I could not understand how you got banned either.

Staci says:
Hey Staci, I know this sounds shallow as can be but I’m sure that Ms. Coulter is laughing all the way to the bank…
Staci notes that Drudge has a collection of timely links… If you want to know what the libtards are up (how it might cost you more in taxes or how they might start cranking out more socialistic laws in the future) and what they are thinking, Drudge at least gives one a starting point…
I mean where else are you also going to get headlines like the following? D.C. Madam Case Leads to Speculation; ‘46 pounds of phone records’…?… :lol_wp:
March 20th, 2007 at 5:56 PMUsing
ScottyDog, I came back from the range one afternoon and found a notice to the effect I was banned because I had refused to change my sig. Funny thing was that it would have been hard to refuse anything as I had an Eddie Eagle class that day teaching local scouts about gun safety and had been gone from the house from 0700 to 1600.
Allahpundit got totally snotty with me when I asked what was up so I told him to bite me and removed all links to HA. I’m used to a better class of loser than him so he can just go piss up a rope.

Well, we all miss you. It is sad that Allah uses banning to restrict speech rather than police bad language posts ect.
It has degraded to the point over there that little “clicks” have formed that suck up to Allah rather than the rigorous debate that used to occur in the beginning. That is what happens when you have a moderator worshiping at the alter of Politically Correct Speech rather than allow a free exchange of ideas.
God help you if you quote any portion of the bible, as that gets his underwear in a wad in a New York minute.

It’s really such a shame, Rowane and ScottyDog.
Allah used to seem like such a nice guy.
Heck, the one and only time I have ever gotten a e-mail response from Neal Boortz was when I sent him a link to “Allah Is In The House”.

Don’t get me wrong, I believe she makes very good points. It would be nice to hand her writings to someone on the other side and see the sheer common sense she points out. But now, they see her name and wouldn’t even take the time. I used to like to take points from her book Treason and use it to convert those that worshipped the Clintons and it definitely made them scratch their heads.
When it comes to snappy rhetoric and such, I’m much more a fan of The Empire here. Not only do I get it from our Imperial posting staff, but here in the comments too. So don’t think I’m very sensitive or anything to that.
And I’m sure she is laughing all the way to the bank. She deserves it.
Drudge…like I said, it’s not even his news he reports. I don’t credit him as a blogger or anything, just a web surfer who collects links. That is why it’s funny he is ripping on anyone. He did post something I found once and sent in…when the oh so tolerant libs were posting a pic of Bush at the Special Olympics.
Heather…I love Boortz. I don’t read a lot of political books, but my boyfriend got his latest book for me. While I don’t agree with him 100% on his views concerning certain things…he is dead on. And I’m not going to be offended by him not toeing my line 100%.
