The former top advisor on foreign affairs to the worst President in history, Dhimmi Carter, is busy doing what Democrats do best: Lie through their teeth and rewrite history to fit their narrative:

Brzezinski said there’s no reason to think a bloodbath would necessarily follow a U.S. withdrawal.

“We expected that the U.S. leaving Vietnam would result in massive killings and genocide and so forth, and collapse of the dominoes in Southeast Asia,” he said. “It didn’t happen. How certain are we of the horror scenarios that have been mentioned in what will take place in Iraq?”

It’s a great pity that millions of murdered Cambodians can’t rise from their graves and strangle that lying piece of shit, but perhaps some Vietnamese refugees (the few that survived escaping the bloodbath that Zbigniew is busy denying ever took place) would like to take it up with the foul fuckhead?

Listen, we can surely appreciate why you Democrats might want to wish away the genocide that your deliberate, wilful betrayal of South Viet Nam brought about. Heck, if His Majesty were personally responsible for that kind of slaughter he’d have long since killed himself to wipe the memory out, but it’s not going to work.

The blood of all of those innocents are on your filthy, lying, socialist paws, and we’ll make sure to remind you.

Again and again and again and again.

Of course, you could take the honorable way out and off yourselves out of shame, but that would require that you were in possession of either honor or shame.

Which you’re not.

No socialist ever was.

Maybe because the enemy has stated that they will do this Zbiggy??

I always hated that guy, he just looked sleazy and untrustworthy.

I have a kid in one of my high school classes who is a first generation American of Vietnamese descent. His grandfather was imprisoned by the North Vietnamese right after we accomplished our “peace with honor”. His grandfather escaped, rounded up all of his family…including this kids future mother, and got them the hell out of there and over here. The first thing his grandfather did once they were over here was to get himself and the rest of the family naturalized as American citizens. This kid busts his ass, I have trouble keeping him busy because he is so far ahead with his projects….and he does standout work too. He’s also an unapologetically patriotic American, he speaks perfect English and loves this country. He also has told me numerous stories that his grandfather has told him about what Vietnam was like once we left….none of them have a happy ending.

I’d like to sit zbiggy down and let this kid “enlighten” him for a couple of hours….maybe throw in his grandfather for good measure too. That truth would hurt, and I hope it would scar too. These deniers and re-writers of history really need to have their heads cleared of that rubbish with a few well placed shots from the cluebat of truth

and I’d love nothing more than to see some kid like Tri swing it….he’s earned the first whack.

What is it with these democrats!!??!! It’s not as if you need a crystal ball to see what will happen if American troops leave before Iraq can handle internal security problems.

Even after the Civil War, Union forces occupied areas of the former Confederacy for over ten years. There was still a bit of fussin’ and fightin’ going on between disaffected poor whites and the elite southern aristocracy. And they weren’t blowing shit up and whacking heads off people.

After the war ended in 1865, the U.S. army occupied the entire South, but with a reduced force. Demobilization left fewer than forty thousand troops in the former Confederate states in 1866, and the number continued to decline thereafter. During Reconstruction (1865–1877), army officers and troops in the South were called on repeatedly, mostly for political purposes.

Where does this ass clown (Darth Clueless) get the notion that hostile neighbors (Syria and Iraq and now the King of Saudi Arabia is calling the US occupation illegal) will allow Iraq to develop as a free nation?

“If the war is enlarged in the next 20 months to include Iran — if that happens — for the next 20 years the United States is going to be bogged down in a war which spans Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and then you can forget about American global leadership,” he said.

This sounds remarkably like the Numbers From The Ass phenomenon that plagued the nation during the 18 month rush to war with Iraq. People, most famously Noam Chomsky, put wildly improbable and mathematically impossible estimates of casualties and possible time on paper and newspapers gleefully printed them as fact.

Even ignoring the fact that Iran is the source of the funding and troops for the “insurrections” in the entire Mid-East, it couldn’t possibly last 20 years because the region would run out of extremists, or much more likely, America would run out of willpower.

The fact is we didn’t care how the Caveman Democracy science project would turn out in 2002, we just wanted to take out Saddam and his WMD (which didn’t exist except for the 500,000 or so chemical warheads we’ve found plus God knows what went to Syria). By the same token, we shouldn’t care what state we leave Iran and the middle east in, if we leave it in any state at all: the key thing is that Iran’s nuclear project is shut down and a lot of mullahs die. We can even let them keep their state: just let them know we’ll be back in a year to shut down whatever progress they’ve made and kill some more mullahs.

One thing I’ll give Jimmy Carter’s Secretary of Capitulation: we could easily be bogged down for 20 years if we try to fight Iran the way we’ve fought in Iraq post-Saddam.

Zbigniew Brzezinski did his best to overlook the obvious point in his analysis of the situation: It doesn’t matter whether or not we want a war with Iran or even whether the Iranian people want a war with us.

What matters is that the mullahs who run Iran clearly DO want a war with us, and they won’t stop until they get one. All that remains to be decided is when that war will start…and whether we fight that war on our terms or theirs.

It’s truly amazing that someone as willfully ignorant as Brzezinski or Madeline Albright would wind up running the foreign policy of a superpower. Or have any influence left in diplomatic circles, once their incompetence had been demonstrated for all to see.

Especially in Brzezinski’s case; he’s demonstrated that he can’t even learn through bitter experience.

My paternal grandmother left Burma about two hours ahead of the Japanese during WW2.

A good friend of mine left Yugoslavia a few days before the Serbs got to her village.

I’ve read some of the horrors from Cambodia and Vietnam.

Can there be any doubt, for all their shrill cries that us Conservatives are the party of death and war…. Why is it we aren’t the ones intentionally enabling genocide? Why is the Left so keen to have innocent masses slaughtered to win political points?

I think it all comes back to their death-wish, they’re living out their self-destructive fantasies vicariously through the reports of massacres and ethnic cleansing and all the other ghastly shit they seem to enable.

Oh there was no bloodbath in SouthEast Asia after US forces were forced to retreat by the politicians at home?

Oh, ok, after thinking for a few moments, I know exactly what Zbig would say if we threw this back in his face:

“Harumph! Harumph! Of course there was a Cambodian genocide, and I’m not denying that. But you see, that would have happened ANYWAY whether US forces were in Vietnam or not.”

They simply deny the cause and effect relationship.

Time magazine on Aug. 08, 1977 quoted Brzezinski: “Human rights is in the air,” he says, and the U.S. is “the dynam ic force in the world through which progress toward social justice will be advanced.”

This was before Zbig & Carter lead this country down the road to international humiliation…

Hmmm, obviously old Zbig suffering from some serious barking moonbat problems…

Almost three years ago Zbig says we should come to terms with the humiliation he and Carter foisted off on this country in regards to Iran…

Shortly after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, and with American hostages held in Tehran, somebody in the Carter gang apparently decided that some tough guy posturing might keep the hounds at bay. They sent Zbig to Pakistan where he was photographed pointing a Chinese rifle across the border into Afghanistan.

Could someone answer me this? I know this post is several days old but there is something I don’t understand. If it was the American withdrawal of military forces from the area and the halt of aid to the propped up Cambodian government of Lon Nol that gave rise to the Khmer Rouge and the ensuing genocide, how do you explain the continued support for the Khmer Rouge following Vietnam’s invasion of Cambodia in 1979? Specifically, I am talking about the official recognition of the Khmer Rouge as the legitimate government of Cambodia by most western nations, including the United States, all the way through to 1989? The Khmer Rouge, although disposed in 1979, continued to have official recognition in the U.N. up to 1989. Why did it take until 1990 for the U.S. under President Bush to no longer give a Cambodian vote to the U.N. under the Khmer Rouge flag? The U.S. had the option of voting for leaving the Cambodian seat empty but instead voted for the Khmer Rouge, from Carter and Brzezinski all the way to Bush. Explain this to me please. And lets not forget, no matter how much we may dislike and hate Commies from Vietnam, if it wasn’t for their invasion in 1979, the genocide would have continued unabated. And what is worse, we would have supported the Khmer Rouge as long as they offered resistance against the Vietnamese. It seems to me no matter how you look at it, the U.S., along with most of the western nations, has thier hands dirty over their support for the Khmer Rouge, even if it was only political. It is morally reprehensible and a disgrace to the ideals of America.
