From LC English911:

DODGE CITY, Kan. - Frightened by raids last year at six Swift & Co. plants, illegal immigrants in the nation’s meatpacking towns are preparing for their possible arrest.

They needn’t worry. Anybody but the most deluded BushBots (at NRO, for instance) knows that those raids were nothing but a spot of theatre aimed at mollifying citizens getting increasingly angry at the RINOs’ blatant and open selling out of our nation to the highest bidder, in this case corporate donors desperate for cheap slave labor. Does anybody have any reliable numbers on how many actual deportations those “raids” led to? His Imperial Majesty’s best guess would be somewhere between zero and none.

For years, immigrant rights criminal conspiracy coverup groups had been confident the meatpacking giants were so powerful immigration agents would never raid them. But since the Dec. 12 sweeps at Swift plants in six states, immigrant advocacy groups have been holding workshops, teaching undocumented workers illegal aliens how to prepare for their arrests by doing such things as drawing up legal documents so someone could care for their children and handle their financial affairs.

What’s next? Workshops for bank robbers, teaching them how to avoid losing their loot if they’re caught?

In addition, the United Food and Commercial Workers union has printed a bilingual immigration rights kit it plans to distribute nationwide to workers in the coming weeks. The kit includes practical information, legal documents and sample letters.

“We want to make sure they (immigration officials) don’t take advantage of our people,” said Martin Rosas, secretary-treasurer for UFCW in Dodge City.

A union doing their damndest to protect criminals contributing to keeping their members’ wages down? Interesting. I’m sure the legal resident members of UFCW will be thrilled to hear that. Your membership dues at work.

Among those making preparations since attending a workshop is the family of a 43-year-old man who works under a false identity at the National Beef plant in Liberal. Two of his four children, ranging in ages from 4 to 18, were born in the United States, where he’s lived on an off for 21 years.

His wife, a 39-year-old illegal immigrant, asked not to be identified for fear the family would be arrested.

Perhaps somebody ought to remind Associated (with criminals) Press writer Roxana Hegeman what the penalty for knowingly aiding and abetting a criminal is? Imagine a journalist writing an article featuring a known serial rapist or murderer and refusing to reveal his identity for fear he might be arrested.

The family is writing documents so her brother, a legal resident, would have custody of the children if the parents are deported. They have put their few possessions in another person’s name and are trying to save what little money they can.

Add the brother and the unnamed “other person” to the conspiracy charges, please.

“It is the expected response of people that are terrified, that have to keep working in order to live,” said James Austin, a Kansas City, Mo., immigration attorney who has taught at such workshops in Kansas.

Or they could just leave the country that they illegally entered, perhaps?

Ed Hayes, Kansas director of the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps, an anti-illegal immigration group, said he was dismayed by those who are helping illegal immigrants.

“Those people ought to be arrested because they are helping people break the law,” Hayes said. “We have churches that are aiding and abetting people breaking the law. We have chambers of commerce who want them to do it, politicians who want them to do it. What happened to our nation of laws?”

It was thrown out the window the moment our RINO politicians decided that their corporate bribes were more important to them than the welfare of their constituents, that’s what happened.

Immigration informational meetings are not new, Austin said, but only recently have organizers begun distributing and discussing power of attorney documents at them. He said that’s a direct response by Hispanic advocacy agencies to recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids, including last year’s arrests of 1,282 Swift workers at plants in Colorado, Nebraska, Texas, Utah, Iowa and Minnesota.

“I don’t know what else to do, other than have people prepare as much as they can in case that happens here,” said the Rev. John Fahey of St. Anthony Catholic Church in the southwestern Kansas town of Liberal, where a recent workshop drew 250 workers from meatpacking plants in southwest Kansas.

Tell them to quit breaking the law and go home, perhaps? Oh well, add a reverend to the list of active, willing and knowing participants in a conspiracy to subvert federal law. I guess the Catholics gave up on that whole “following the laws” bit. Too cumbersome, I suppose. “Now go forth, and sin some more.”

The Hispanic advocacy group Hispanos Unidos of Liberal and United Methodist Mexican American Ministries helped organize the meeting, said Arturo Ponce, a former meatpacking plant worker who helped found Hispanos Unidos of Liberal.

And the United Methodists too, but that doesn’t surprise me much. They always were more interested in political activism than the actual Word of G-d.

[Illegal] immigrant families are also being urged to set up a savings accounts with $3,000 to $10,000 per family to pay bail bonds and other costs.

“They are putting aside a little money as often as they can for such a situation,” Ponce said. “It is a heavy burden, but it is realistic.”

Boo-friggin’-HOO.

Next week, a tear-jerker of a piece about child molesters having to sell their kiddy pr0n collections in order to be able to afford legal help in case they’re arrested.

Other legal advice included warnings not to sign a voluntary deportation form and to demand an immigration attorney, Ponce said.

Rosas said UFCW’s bilingual kit will explain workers’ rights and offer practical advice for dealing with immigration problems. Among the documents in the kit are sample letters immigrants can use to better respond to the federal government’s inquiries about problems with Social Security numbers.

Such as how they got a hold of them in the first place. Here’s a hint: Felony forgery of federal documents.

“There is always the same fear now — everywhere you go,” said Rosas.

Good.

Now pack your bags and swim back across the Rio Grande, please. The fear will be over then.

The detailed extent of family preparations by undocumented workers illegal aliens surprised officials at Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as well as the meatpacking industry’s trade group, the American Meat Institute. Both groups told The Associated Press they were unaware of them.

Shocked, SHOCKED, I’m sure…

“I haven’t heard of any companies actively trying to prepare workers, because if a company knows they are undocumented illegally here they are not supposed to be hiring them anyway,” Austin said.

SHOCKED, I tell you!

Employers can face charges if they knowingly hire illegal workers.

They can, but it’s about as likely to happen as Rosie O’Donut forming a coherent sentence and/or losing 50 lbs. At least as long as they keep those nice, fat, political donations bribes rolling in.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Brent Anderson noted that about half of immigration-related cases in Kansas — which has massive slaughterhouses in Dodge City, Liberal, Garden City and Emporia_ are associated with the food-processing industry. Anderson said the “hot area now” in the state for identity theft is in Cowley County, where Creekstone Farms Premium Beef opened a plant in 2003. He said illegal immigrants sometimes steal identities to get past the government’s “Basic Pilot” program, which screens Social Security numbers to make sure they’re real and that they match up with the person’s name.

Don Stull, a University of Kansas anthropology professor and industry expert, said it’s estimated about 25 percent of people working at the nation’s meatpacking plants are in the country illegally. In the Swift raids, about 10 percent of the company’s work force was arrested.

The industry says it is doing everything it can to make sure it does not hire illegal immigrants.

“Everything you can” obviously isn’t good enough. Or maybe you’re just lying. That sweet, cheap slave labor is a tough addiction to shake, isn’t it?

“Hiring illegal workers just doesn’t make good business sense. Employee turnover is very disruptive,” said Dave Ray, spokesman for the American Meat Institute.

But as long as you keep your local politicians bought and paid for, “turnover” isn’t really a problem, now is it?

Ray noted the meatpacking industry was a pioneer in the early use of Basic Pilot, which he called a valuable, but not foolproof, tool.

At the National Beef plant in Dodge City, general manager Carey Hoskinson said if he could convey any message to his employees it would be not to worry about a raid. He noted his company uses government identity verification programs as well as its own internal personnel audits.

“I don’t think ICE has its crosshairs on us,” he said.

As long as your check to the RNC is in the mail, you’ll be just fine, and you know that very well, you criminal-abetting sack of shit. I hope your factory burns down. With you and your illegal alien friends still in it.

You think that West Kansas is bad? You should see the Westside of the San Joaquin Valley. If they were to round up all of the illegals and their families, whole towns would cease to exist. Not that it’s a bad thing, mind you. I’d love to see all of the illegals rounded up and sent back. No more “press 1 for english, press 2 for spanish” crap.

There’s plenty of people on the welfare rolls that can do the housekeeping, gardening and construction jobs that are being stolen by illegals. It would free up space in the emergency rooms for legal citizens. We wouldn’t have to spend billions of dollars a year of our tax money to support these criminals.

From the looks of things…you would be hard pressed to find a single city left in this country that wasn’t.

Just to indulge in a bit of wishful thinking, we all need to start heading south and kick the few bastards left down there out and let em have it all up here. While they are busy screwing everything up…we can be building an extremely high, wide, deep and very very powerful Bug Zapper across the border. Then let Canada fight with them.

Oh…we leave the liberals behind. They can figure out a way to support the scum buckets on no taxes at all, since they don’t pay any anyway. And since the Military isn’t going to want to stick around with all the Moonbats and Burritos, they won’t have any defense to keep the natives under control, so the Mooselimbs will have a field day with all of them.
Once everything is completely FUBAR’d we can chuck a few nukes over and just clean the whole damn mess up.

For the 10,000th time, will somebody PLEASE tell me why the Catholic Church(r) is tax-exempt? They have meddled in nations’ internal politics for close to 1,000 years now. If we taxed every church that got involved in politics in this country, there’d be no national debt left.

CITIZENS AGAINST GOVERNMENT WASTE notes: There is no question that illegal immigrants are a burden on the taxpayer. Illegal immigrants and their children use government services like Medicaid, food stamps, and public schools. Estimates of the net fiscal cost of illegal immigration range from $22 billion to $70 billion annually.

Some organizations that receive government funding advocate for illegal aliens and even helped to coordinate the massive protests against immigration reform, such as the “Day Without Immigrants” held on May 1. The following information was obtained from looking at groups’ 990 tax forms.

The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, which helped to organize a huge March 25 rally in Los Angeles, received $495,627 in government funds between July 2003 and June 2004. Tax dollars represent 32 percent of the organization’s $1.56 million budget. The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, which participated in the 400,000-plus rally in Chicago and calls for “legalization for everyone,” received $1.5 million from the government in 2004. The amount represents 56 percent of the group’s total revenue.

illegal aliens how to prepare for their arrests by doing such things as drawing up legal documents so someone could care for their children and handle their financial affairs.

Here is a crazy idea, take your children with you.

My ancestors came to the United States through Ellis Island from Ireland during the potato famines in the 1840s. So, I have no problem at all with immigration. I even have a problem with the idea of labelling someone “illegal” because of their national origin. That reminds me way too much of NAZI Germany and the way they made so many different people “illegal” because of their national origin.

Having said that, I am very upset that people can work here without paying taxes and without the employer having to comply with the same rules and regulations that law abiding employers comply with.

The thing that is so upsetting is that this is so easy to fix. Have two kinds of immigrants, immigrants who are going through the citizenship process and immigrants who are here to work using a work permit. Create a national identification card with a unique identification number. Social security numbers won’t work for this because the social security administration has been reusing these numbers for a long time.

As part of the national identification card have fingerprints that are also stored electtronically. Also have a DNA sample that is stored electronically. Give the immigrants who are not on a track for citizenship a work permit.

I would even be willing to have to get a national identification card myself (I am a US citizen) if it will help this problem.

I also think that the immigrants who are here on a work permit should pay a different tax rate than citizens. Gives them more incentive to become a citizen or go back home. Employers should also have to pay some kind of special tax to use immigrant workers, gives them an incentive to hire US citizens.

Employers have to comply with all the same laws for an immigrant on a work permit as for a US citizen.

The police should be required to ask for the national identification card anytime they stop someone. If you don’t have one and you cannot prove you are here legally you should be deported. The national identification card should be required to: get a driver’s license, get a library card, open a bank account, buy real estate, enroll children in school, be admitted to a hospital, vote, buy a car…

All employers should be audited at least twice a year to ensure that they are not violating the law in regard to hiring practices.

Lots of large companies get around the law by hiring “contractors” who then hire the illegals. The large companies claim “we didn’t know the contractor was using illegals”. Funny thing is, the contractors who use the illegals charge 30-40% less than contractors who comply with the law. So what, the large company thought the lower priced contractors were Santa Clause? The law should be changed so that this kind of shell game cannot continue and large companies should be held liable for all their employees, direct and indirect. If they want to use a contractor, fine, but make the contractor supply full documentation for all of the contractor’s employees and hold the large company accountable if the contractor uses illegal workers.

All of the people who are here illegally should be given an opportunity to buy a work permit and get a national id card for a reasonable fee, say $500, with the clear understanding that after a certain date, say 90 days from the day they are required to get the work permit that being caught without it results in immediate deportation. All employers should be given 90 days to get their hiring policies in compliance with the law with the penalty of having their business confiscated if they don’t.

I don’t think illegal immigrants, undocumented workers, what ever you want to call them should be “rounded up and sent home”. What should be done is to create two kinds of immigrant status, one which is on track for citizenship, and one which is here to work under a work permit the immigrant must buy for a reasonable amount, say $500.

The people working under the work permit should be required to pay a higher tax rate than US citizens, and they should not qualify for foodstamps, medicare, medicaid, or other government handouts. Making them pay a higher tax rate will encourage them to become US citizens of else go home. The employer should also have to pay a special tax to hire these people which will encourage the employer to hire US citizens. All employers should be audited regularly to ensure that they are complying with the law that requires workers to be properly documented. I think the penalty for violating this law should be very extreme, up to and including confiscation of the business.

I think the tax rate that immigrants here on a work permit should be applied on the first dollar the immigrant earns instead of having a large deduction the way it is for US citizens. A US citizen doesn’t start pay federal income tax on the first $15,000 or so of income. I think immigrants should pay income tax on every dollar of income, and at a higher rate than US citizens. The employer should pay a higher rate of matching social security and should have to pay a special tax for hiring immigrants on a work permit.

I think that you would see a lot of people move back home when employers lose the incentive to hire undocumented workers and immigrants on work permits lose all the “free benefits” (free to them) that undocumented workers recieve.

I even have a problem with the idea of labelling someone “illegal” because of their national origin.

Everybody should have a problem with the strategy of mis-designating groups or individuals.
That very strategy is why so much debate winds up in the weeds in an emotional vortex.

    Here’s an example:

Have two kinds of immigrants, immigrants who are going through the citizenship process and immigrants who are here to work using a work permit.

The second group is obviously not interested in immigration.
Mi-gration. Correct terminology is the only way we can know what we’re talkin’ ’bout.
Migrant workers. They come, work. go.
Outsourcing. It’s capitalism and if they pull their weight with the taxes they pay, it’s OK.

Immigrants want to be Americans and assimilate into American society.
They utter no forgeries and respect our borders.
    Illegal aliens don’t.

The illegal problem is bad in central Pennsylvania too. The city of York has become a haven for illegals. The news is filled, daily with shootings, arson , drug dealing, beatings and rapes. Six out of every ten “suspects” have a Hispanic surname. The local hospital ERs are deluged with illegals.

No ICE raids, no outcry from local politicians and no mention of immigration status of criminals -EVER! If I was paranoid, I’d think it was some sort of conspiracy.

    infiltration

    (DOD)
    1. The movement through or into an area or territory occupied by either friendly or enemy troops or organizations. The movement is made, either by small groups or by individuals, at extended or irregular intervals. When used in connection with the enemy, it infers that contact is avoided.

    2. In intelligence usage, placing an agent or other person in a target area in hostile territory. Usually involves crossing a frontier or other guarded line. Methods of infiltration are: black (clandestine); grey (through legal crossing point but under false documentation); and white (legal).

And is directly illegal according to both US Military Law and International Law in all but the last case.
Whether the politicians will admit it or not, the very act of aiding their people to commit this crime is an Act of War against America. It should be treated as such by our government, but someone seems to have castrated every man in D.C., Hell, I’ve known a lot of women with more balls than would be found in both houses of congress.

BTW, anyone a bit rusty on survival and resistance is welcome to come to my blog starting Monday. I’ll be posting articles to help a few online friends who’ve asked for help in this area. I could use a bit of input from some of you, more seasoned, bloggers and more recent SERE school grads.

    Mrs. M-TT, I ain’t leaving! :devil_tb:

While I would gladly man a machinegun post to keep these scrofulous scum where they belong, I’ve bled for this little ol’ country and will gladly give my life to keep her intact and free. This kind of precludes leaving her to the tender mercies of the moonbats, mooslimes, and mexishits.

Now a plan to force said groups below the Rio Grande (what a STUPID name for a river you can piss across in a lot of places, BTW) would be a wonderful idea. I’d also gladly man the border to help keep them there after they were put there.

Who’s gonna track them? Shit, I’ll be ammo and spotter for Rowane. How to round them up, get them the hell out? I’ll sit the border post, and man the guns. We’ve got UAVs to cover the blind spots from altitude, and we’ve got many troops(active and retired) that love this nation and would fight to restore and preserve it.

The ‘Anchor Baby’ situation (where the child of an illegal is automatically an American citizen), is a gross abuse of a loophole in the 14th Amendment.

Clearly, the 14th was put in place to provide some restitution for slaves who were stolen from their home countries, and became a people without citizenship.

The difference is, those former slaves were brought here againts their collective wills, while the illegals that are invading us now, do so with malice aforethought.

So, the loophole must be closed. The parent (mother) of said child must be here LEGALLY for automatic citizenship to be bestowed upon said child.

What is so Freakin’ hard to understand about that?

I have no problem changing my statement to:

there are two classifications, 1) immigrants who are legally pursuing citizenship and 2) migrants who are here on a temporary work permit.

I couldn’t help but wonder, “what about those already in line to get here and do it legally?“…

I have no problem with someone who is in the process of becoming a citizen coming here. There would just be different status depending on where someone is in the process. But, they would have to work and pay taxes and would not qualify for federal assistance. They would also need to pay some sort of fee, and get a work permit.

Late to the party as usual, but I couldn’t help but pick up on this one, curious:

I even have a problem with the idea of labelling someone “illegal” because of their national origin.

I do too, and I don’t know who exactly it is that butchers our language like that.

“Illegal” doesn’t refer to your nationality, I couldn’t care less if you got here illegally from Tijuana or Stockholm, Sweden. If you broke our laws getting in, you’re illegally here.

I still say, when you catch them, send them back with a comic-book format booklet (in Spanish) that will teach them how to “Overthrow Your Corrupt Government and Turn Your Turd-World S**thole Into What You’re Trying to Find HERE.” Sauce for the goose, and all that. One question. If all our jobs are being outsourced, what the hell are they coming here for, anyway?

There is a huge underground economy of companies and workers that do not pay taxes and do not report their income. If you are undocumented it is illegal to file tax returns because you have to list a social security number, which of course you do not have, so the only way you an undocumented worker can file a tax return is to commit fraud.

I say companies and workers because the companies cannot report the undocumented workers, and if they are doing that it is not a stretch to think that they are not reporting the income these workers produce either.

In the International Herald Tribune there is the following AP story dated January 5, 2007: FBI spokesman Erik Vasys in San Antonio, whose office covers the border area around Laredo, said about 60 kidnappings have been reported since a cartel power struggle erupted in Nuevo Laredo in mid-2004. About half of those cases have been solved, with only one known fatality, Vasys said.

It is unclear exactly how many Americans have vanished or been killed in Mexico because many disappearances are never reported, Vasys said.

Farther west in Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley, 79 kidnappings have been reported to Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino. None are thought to have involved drug cartels, Trevino said.

Talked to some family over the weekend who still live in Laredo and I think my brother says that he thinks the number is over a hundred now…
