Some lefty Idiotarian that I hadn’t heard of before now is getting all huffy and puffy, protesting the contents of this post about the stupidity of disarming helpless victims to fight crime, and doing so in the time honored liberal tradition of not producing much by way of actual argument. Unless he’s trying to prove my point, of course.

Let’s take, for example, the case of the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler. Named for some variety of “white dog”, this is an animal who revels in its own rabidity; but its most distinctive characteristic, which it shares with so many other right-winged birds, is its flabby, impotent passion for phony tough talk.

“White dog?”

We realize that you severely demented parrots of the loony left are required to weave the subject of race into anything you say, including your personal hygiene (of which you, sadly, seem to have all too little), but is there any way you can be more pathetically desperate in your attempts to earn your Liberal Narrative Adherence Gold Star™?

“Filed under: Verbal Bitch Slaps”, says the liberal-chewing Chihuahua, congratulating himself because he knows no one else will do it.

Help me! I’m cut to the quick! Not the dreaded “nobody likes him because I say so” attack! How will I ever survive?

The internet is not usually thought of as a verbal medium, but why pick nits off a dog’s fur when it’s only going to bite you for your troubles?

If I’d meant to say “oral”, my sweet demented child, I’d have used that word. Trust me on that one. Yes, I’m well aware that “verbal” is generally thought of as synonymous with “oral”, but that doesn’t mean that it has no other meaning. Of course, in order to not make a fool of you and your lack of understanding of a language that is, I assume, your first one (whereas it’s my second), I could have said “written”, but that would somehow limit the use of the category where video or audio clips are concerned, wouldn’t it?

But, by all means, if that’s the best you can come up with by way of rebuttal, then I suppose you have to stick with what pathetically little you have, even if it isn’t quite correct.

Here’s something I’d like to tell you, even though it’ll probably make you wet your rubber sheets: If I were insane enough to want to kill you, I wouldn’t need a gun

MOMMY! THE INTERNET MAN IS SCARING ME! HE SAID HE COULD KILL ME WITH A SPORK AND A SUGAR PACKET BECAUSE OF HIS MAIL ORDER NINJA TRAINING

Thanks for missing my point entirely. It makes humiliating you so much easier, not to mention quite a bit more enjoyable. Yes, I do enjoy mocking the mentally deficient. I’m evil that way. Sue me.

No, I do not in the least have any “ninja training”, mail order or otherwise, and that’s exactly my point. If I did, then it would be much worse. I can’t do anything that most people can’t do, and quite a bit less than a lot of other people, yet it’s more than sufficient to kill somebody without the aid of a gun. Heck, I’m willing to bet that most if not all of the readers here can rattle off at least a dozen ways without even thinking very hard about it, and they’re no different from most anybody else either.

It doesn’t require “ninja skills” or “dark ops training”, it doesn’t require much of anything at all, just a few readily available tools (or no tools at all) and the intent to commit murder. That, and your intended victim being less able to defend himself than you are at killing him, which only takes a minimum of advance planning since you will, most of the time, have the element of surprise working in your favor.

Now, I’m sure that the thought of some average Joe with a screwdriver or a kitchen knife or even his bare hands being able to off you without much trouble won’t scare you, you’re a fearsome Internet warrior capable of splitting atoms with his mind, after all, but to most sane people that is a quite sobering thought. But hey, you can always throw your keyboard at him or devastate him utterly by saying that nobody likes him. Or, better still, read some of Gleen(s) Greenwald(s) barely coherent 27-page screeds aloud to him. Unless he’s under the influence of all the speed in Mexico, that’s bound to put him to sleep right quick.

He learned magic firearms acquisition skills in the same Marine Corps correspondence course where he learned to kill people using only his right thumb and a high-speed internet router.

Didn’t take any learning, actually. All it takes is a wad of cash and the willingness to engage in brief conversation with people you normally wouldn’t invite to your parents’ place. And I guarantee you that if it works overseas with their gun grabbing laws, and it does, then it’ll work here as well. Again, no training required. Anybody who wants to do so can do it in a matter of an hour or two, at most.

Spoken like an actual murderer! Or a anonymous shitbag who reads too many Mack Bolan paperbacks.

Very well then, “Mister Leonard Pierce”, but don’t come crying to me when some sub-retarded, utterly untrained knuckledragger armed with nothing but a pointed stick impales you for the $20 in your pocket that you were going to spend on weed. Or shoots you with his illegally obtained firearm in spite of your sincere protestations that he shouldn’t have one in the first place.

Attitudes like this (it requires no training or strength to shoot a gun!) totally have nothing to do with the vast numbers of “accidental” gun deaths we have in America,

It’s called negligent discharges and yes, it does help if you’ve actually received the super advanced training of memorizing the 4 rules of gun safety, something that I, apparently overly optimistically, assumed that even someone of such limited cerebral capacity as yourself would consider self-evident without having to take a month’s worth of classes first.

My bad for assuming that it doesn’t take actual training to realize that staring into the barrel of a gun while playing with the trigger is a Bad Idea™. I suppose that it’s because I don’t have enough experience with idiots, but if I read your site on a weekly basis I’m sure I could learn enough to make up for it.

…but I do like how this sick puppy managed to work in yet another reference to how much he knows about killing people. He can’t be bothered to follow through his own premises — why would a psychotic murderer who can kill people in hundreds of ways be steered away from a victim just on the off chance that they might have a gun?

Some of them nevertheless, inexplicably, do, as millions of examples where the criminal turned away and ran like Hell the moment he realized that the intended victim was armed prove. Not to mention the fact that violent crime and home invasions always drop when law-abiding citizens are allowed to keep and bear arms for self-defense. I don’t know why, exactly, since I’m not a criminal or a mindreader, but my best guess would be that the criminal suddenly realizes that his job-related health risks have reached unacceptable levels and decides to go hunting somewhere else, somewhere where the government has been thoughtful enough to ensure that the victims have been disarmed. Such as Virginia Tech.

And if he isn’t steered away? Well, that’s where the gun comes in handy. It doesn’t really matter whether the psychopath runs away or suddenly assumes room temperature, the object is to stop the threat. To be sure, somebody like you would most likely be able to defeat him by showing your rhetorical prowess or unleashing your wicked scary martial arts skills upon his helpless body, you’re not scared of anything after all, but the rest of us just don’t have those amazing skills. Besides, we don’t need them. Thanks to guns.

– but my guess is that he’s actually 15 years old, so I’m probably holding him to far too high a standard.

Oh no, not another one of those truly invincible playground insults! Have mercy!

No. I’m not 15. If I had been 15, I’d have used sentences like:

“Attitudes like this … totally have nothing to do with

But I don’t.

I totally grew out of that, like, three decades ago, dude. Which is, you know, totally a long time ago.

But thanks anyway.

I owe you for the laughs.

Huh. I went and looked it up in Safe Storage Gun Laws: Accidental Deaths, Suicides and Crime, John R. Lott and John E. Whitley, 3/29/2000. Look what I found:

Concerns over accidental gun deaths and suicides are important in this debate. In 1996, 42 children under age 10 died from accidental gun deaths. In cases where the weapon involved could be identified, eight of these deaths involved handguns. Only one suicide with a gun is reported in this age group. When all children under age 15 are examined, the total number of accidental gun deaths totals 136, of which 21 were identified as involving handguns. The number of gun suicides is much higher than for younger ages, 162.

Oh Emperor! you’re a complete B’stard and long may you be so.

Something about all that prattling on the lab rat is doing in his post about your presumed ‘mad skills’, boss. I can’t help but recall that on most reported occasions to my memory, certainly on the couple of occasions I’ve witnessed such, it didn’t matter whether the aggressor had strong Kung Fu and Bruce Lee’d the fucker right across the street or just simply grabbed him by the ears and nutted their victim ‘a la Cro Magnon’ square in the mush. It wasn’t the initial strike that killed most of them. It’s their heads hitting concrete when they go down that does for the poor fuckers and it’s bloody rare that these idiots have the sense to lower a knockout down to the floor gently once their eyes roll up.

Pinky up there (he’s certainly not the brain), seems to forget that you don’t need any skills to zilch someone, all you need is intent. The mind is the weapon, everything else is merely a tool; Arms, legs, knees, head, feet, hands, elbows, etc… all tools of the mind. All deadly enough and that’s just the tools our bodies possess. Think dispassionately enough about it and, glancing around your immediate surroundings, you’ll probably find within arms reach any number of various items that would dramatically increase the variations upon the theme of violence, if in your mind its nature as a tool for violence could be rationalised and utilised to effect.

Capacity for violence is a given in the human condition. It’s our morals that dictate our thinking when the ‘when’, ‘how’ and ‘How Much’ questions arise in the application of violence. What I really don’t get is when people blame the tools of violence. It’s a real cynical way of completely sidestepping the real fucking issue, which is that there are some fucking bad people out there with weapons, designed or potential, that wouldn’t be capable of killing people if there wasn’t a bleeding nutter utilising it. I never did hear of a gun, or a kitchen knife, or a fucking umbrella even, that wanted to kill anyone.

    Fuck….. You know….. I think I’m having a moonbat-overload.

Think I’ll go verbally savage a student or something tomorrow.

Feel better just thinking about it.

THAT’S THE FACTS JACK!!! why didn’t someone stop those damned guns from running across campus causing all of that destruction? I mean, they would have stood out in a crowd wouldn’t they?……running around shooting people…..there should be a leash law for guns, we can’t have ‘em running around loose like that. That’s why there’s so damned many of them, they run around making themselves readily available all the time, showing their open breaches to every snub nose and semi-auto that displays even a HINT of nickel plating. But don’t blame the gay guns of course, they pretty keep to their pearl handled selves.

Shockingly (to librul GFWs), the unlawful firearms are usually considerably cheaper than the legally acquired ones - a decent Ruger 9mm runs 50 - 60 bucks in downtown DC (UP somewhat since the recent Appeals Court ruling). Somewhat surprisingly, though, respectable caliber revolvers are harder to find - semi’s being the weapon-du-jure of the unsavory elements, locally.

They are usually a wee bit warm, but readily available.

Well, whatever anyone wants to say, the tragedy that happened at Va Tech happened largely because guns are so readily available.

No, dumbass, the tragedy at Virginia Polysotechnic Institute occurred because victim # 2 through # 32 were unarmed. Otherwise, the streak would have come to an ass-grinding halt somewhat earlier. Can you or anyone else name a gun-control law that has actually, like, WORKED to reduce crime? Outside of the reverse p-sychology experiment in Kennisaw, Georgia, that is.

    =============================

The OFFICIAL estimate is that there are over 80 million gun owners, who own “approximately” 250 million operational firearms in the United States. I have seen credible estimates from sources I trust that the true numbers are closer to 150 million owners with 700 - 750 million firearms.

Howtheeverlovinghell do you silly bastids plan to put the gun owners out of business?

It’s partially because two firearms were available to one particularly bad person — which is, incidentally, something you have no ability to control in even the smallest measure.

It was largely due to the intentional creation of an “Unarmed Victim Zone” by VT.

Well if BurpsareCheap had his way…This would be happening here like it is in Britain.
Gun control is so strict over there that even the Police are unarmed.

A police officer is assaulted once every 20 minutes in Britain, according to a survey of forces published today.

Did Mr. Bean join the Police Force??

Here of course is the Liberal Asshat response to solving this problem:

“Preventing our officers from being assaulted requires a change in attitude towards our police. This process starts at home. That means backing the family and encouraging individuals to take responsibility for their actions must be at the heart of the Government’s response.”

How about putting guns back in the hands of said Police Officers. I guarandamntee you that you let a few of those Yob’s stare down the barrel of a .45 with a pissed off Police Officer standing behind it and you’ll see one hell of an attitude change. :guns_tb:

You know - in his Childe Cycle books, Gordon R. Dickson came up with what would be the ultimate in Gun Control: a force field which prevented the explosive chemical action needed to drive a projectile down the barrel of a weapon (No indication of how it discriminated between that and the reactions that cause you to stay alive, but this is Science Fiction here, and it helps make a point).

No explosions, no guns, right? Wrong. He got around that by thinking up the “Spring Gun”, where the ammo is essentially a shell with a powerful but highly compressed spring, which can be released to drive the projectile. It might be technically challenging, but I’m pretty sure, from what little I know of metallurgy, that such a thing could be done. And even if that would be unlikely, I’m certain that something like it could be done with 6-inch sections of Aluminum tube and short crossbow bolts. Rig up a stack of them before hand, and no one even hears it when you go on your rampage.

Well, whatever anyone wants to say, the tragedy that happened at Va Tech happened largely because guns are so readily available .

    Irrefutable fact?

Guns aren’t accessible in Germany, and some crazed Hitlerjugend or Juniorkommunist gunned down dozens of students in his school back in 2003 or 2004.

Guns are hard to get in Australia, and there was that mass shoot out in Tasmania that left 20 something dead.

And firearms aren’t easy to come by in the UK, but there was that crazy piece of crap that laid waste to an elementary school.

Take your arguments to someone who gives a shit. You have no footing here.

What’s your solution? Disarm the law abiding folks, and see how fast they get shot just to flush out the crooks? And then what, let the cops wave their mag lights and read umpteen Miranda rights before they can shoot and save lives? You liberals sicken me.

Availability of arms to legal citizens is not the issue. Cho wasn’t an American, he was a foreigner on a student visa, and how he was sold a gun is beyond me. There’s already laws against it, there’s already enough gun control. What there is not is a predictor on the determination of some embittered piece of shit to obtain anything to kill their fellow man.

Had he offed folks with a Sonny Chiba Hanzo sword, would you blame the deaths on the weapon or the socially brain-dead retard who ought to have committed hari kari before taking others lives?

You blame anyone but the killer. Fuck off and die.
