So LC & IB Michelle made an excellent expose of (c)rapper “Akon” and his pedophile antics, committing sexual assaults on minors on stage while (c)rapping about how he wants to “fuck you”, peppered with a few very short clips of “Akon’s” actual “art” (in the same sense that John Couey is an “artist”), and his enablers with Universal Music Group promptly chose to sic their lawyers on YouTube to have them pull down the truth, claiming infringement of copyright as a reason.

Now, we can certainly understand why UMG wouldn’t want the truth about their pedophile cash cow to get out, but we still had to put in quite an effort to stop laughing at the idea of copyright infringement suddenly becoming an issue that YouTube would pay attention to. Particularly considering that the vile, obnoxious, misogynist trash that “Akon” publishes is widely available, unedited, on YouTube.

“Due diligence”, anybody?

Not to mention that if Michelle’s extremely short clips as part of a video report isn’t the very definition of “fair use”, then we don’t know what would be. Nothing more is included than what is necessary to make the point and prove the case, and we’re having a hard time imagining that anybody would be so desperate to lay their hands on “Akon’s” particular brand of trash that a 15 second free clip as part of a Hot Air Vent would in any way harm his business.

Particularly not when there are 36,000 hits on YouTube with full-length “Akon” videos that, somehow, UMG haven’t seen fit to demand that YouTube take down.

It’s almost as if UMG’s only real concern is that they don’t want their golden egg-laying goose to become widely known as an animal that likes to dry hump 14-year-olds on stage.

But hey, that can’t possibly be it.

Wish someone could make a program that flags garbage like that on Youtube. If a video is flagged enough as inappropriate, it’s automatically taken down.

As for ‘Akon’, this is the first time I’ve ever heard of him. I hate rap with a passion. And as Akon demonstrated with that poor girl, ‘rap’ is only one ‘e’ away from ‘rape’.

Do I hear Jesse Jackson? *Crickets*

Do I hear Al Sharpton? *Crickets*

No? So… Imus has to be crucified for saying ‘nappy headed hoes’ on his radio show, but it’s perfectly fine for ‘Akon’ to dry hump a 15 year old girl in front of millions of eyes?

    Akon.

    Not shame on him.

    Curse. On. Him.

Crunchie: Only on rare occasion is a black person convicted of a hate crime. “hate crime” charges are only for whites.
Remember, black people don’t commit crimes.

Bingo. According to the gospel of Sharpton, whites (Especially Jews), are always chomping at the bit for an excuse to persecute black folk.

If some white man DARES to make a comment on a comedy show, their ass belongs in Hell!

But if it’s a fellow black who wrangles a fifteen year old girl, rips at her clothes and dry-humps her in front of countless viewers… well hey, we’re only human, right?

    Blech. Disgusting.

Curse on Sharpton and curse on Akon. Not because they’re black. Because they’re assholes.

And while I’m cursing, I’m praying for the safety and the sanity of that poor girl. I hope she’s able to put this behind her eventually and move on with life…

Right after she puts that crackerbox, Akon, behind bars for a few decades ^_^

Wanna know something creepy? The legal age for consensual sex in Canada is 14 years old.
On another note, it looks like Imus is going to have the last laugh against CBS, in a $40 million lawsuit that looks like he’ll easily win.
Howard Stern was right - if Imus just refused to apologize to Sharpton, he would have kept his job. CBS cowered, so now they’ll have to pay him out.
I don’t think the black community has any idea of the extent of damage that lapdog Sharpton is doing to them.

p.s. - sorry, gang, I have to say, I like some rap music. Most hip-hop sickens me and the black culture is way too repetitive and boring for me to even comprehend how anyone could endure a steady diet of it, but some of 50cent, DMX, even some Eminem - I like listening to it.
Country is the only stuff I really won’t listen to, but a couple of Faith Hill songs is the most I can handle. Give me about 5 hours of Tom Waits’ music, and I’m a happy man.

Lets see….top music today is: Rap: Music that glorifies racism against whites, vitriol against anything moral or decent, corrupts the english language, and promotes being a shitbag.

Then there is EMO: A style of music that emasculates men and supports a feminist patriarchy, its (male) adherents wear cardigan sweaters in the summer, womens bluejeans, and like to wear their hair like a pussy and cut themselves and “Attempt” suicide 9 times a year.

Sure does. At 37 years old, I think I’m the youngest Elvis fan ever. I had to live through the 80’s before even once hearing Bob Dylan, early Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, even most of the Beatles’ stuff….amazing the actual music you miss when you listen to what’s trendy.
I’ve had discussions with black people online about their taste in music, with an open mind. I’m actually amazed at their lack of desire for any kind of real musical exploration. I would venture to guess about 99% of the US Blacks own music written ONLY by other blacks. Regardless of the cultural effects and money they make, you’d think they’d broaden their horizons a bit? Their culture brought us Motown, Blues, some amazing jazz - superb stuff. Nowadays, they’re seemingly content on doing the same shit over and over ad-nauseum, not even stopping a second to experiment. The only reason any black people listen to any white music is to get samples. Hell, most of their target audience don’t even know the melodies they’re listening to are borrowed.
I just can’t for the life of me, understand how an ENTIRE RACE of people can listen to only one genre of music. It used to be political struggle, beautiful music, inspiring history, identity - now it’s basketball, hip-hop, rims, ho’s, sneakers. Ugh. BOOORRRIIIINNNNGGG.

‘Is it just me, or are most of the good musicians dead?’

Not true! The Beach Boys are still alive! That’s one of my all-time favorite bands. Squeaky-clean and the music has a beautiful, unique sound.

I love Johnny Cash (God rest his and his wife’s souls), I love sound tracks from various games and movies, Robbie Williams, Big Audio Dynamite, Weird Al, Bear McCreary, Big & Rich, Daisuke Ishiwatori, Delerium and Metallica. I love em’ all! And most of these groups are still alive.

Most of the good musicians aren’t dead. They’re just being overshadowed by ‘artists’ like Akon, Snoop Dogg and Eminem.

Seriously… where do they come UP with these names?! Nothing says badass mo’fo like candy-coated chocolate morsels and the beagle of the Peanuts Gang.

As for Akon’s name? Got it! Akon, as used in a sentence…

“Akon duu it Captain! She duun’t have the power!”

Yyyyeah… anyway, I’mma go to bed now and dream of my dear America.

Ask any black young person (under the age of 30) about who the following people are, and chances are very good you are going to get blank stares and incredibly wrong answers:

Albertina Walker, Mahalia Jackson, Bessie Smith

Ella Fitzgerald, Cab Calloway, Charlie “Bird” Parker

Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Jelly Roll Morton

Lena Horn, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole,

Sammy Davis Jr., The Ink Spots, The Mills Brothers

Dizzy Gillespie, Dooley Wilson, Eartha Kitt.

Most young people today have absolutely no idea who these people are. These artists lived in a time when the ONLY thing they could do that was accepted by society was music. They had to carve their own road that today’s punk rappers are cruising along on.

And yes I have every single one of these people in my music inventory and listen to them regularly.

Amazing how blacks brought so much beautiful music into our lives…and now they can’t even remember who came before them, I’ll bet. In fact, I’d bet dimes to Rosie O’donuts that most blacks under 30 would know where the Biggie Smalls sample of “Every Breath You Take” came from….

I have XM Radio at home, in my car, and I can also play it on my computer. When we have lab days in my high school classes I play it during class. Mostly I play a station that sounds like one of those old 60’s freeform stations…playing all of that great rock music that I miss so much. The students invariably wander up to pick a station, I’ll let them do that but forbid any “c”rap being played. We argue all the time about what makes great music, and I usually win the argument with this line:

“Name ONE virtuoso making popular music today, just one….”

I then rattle off old names from MY generation like Clapton, Page, Jeff Beck, Ginger Baker, Chick Corea, Keith Emerson, B.B. King, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, etc etc……

With the exception of a few rock guitarists and some groups like Rush, most of the instrumental virtuosos today are found in bluegrass. You ought to hear the howls in class when I put THAT station on.
