As you may or may not know, there was a story a while ago about how DNC Chairman Howlin’ Howard Dean allegedly had told Kansas Gov. Sebelius to use the Greensburg tornado to bash Bush and the Long War. The story came out on the Quinn & Rose Show and they stood (and stand, as far as we know) by their source, stating that they’d “never been misinformed by this source in the past.”

This story was, of course, quoted on a large number of sites due to the potentially explosive nature of it if it turns out to be true. The DNC and Howlin’ Howard, obviously, deny everything, which neither proves that they’re innocent or guilty, it just turns it into a “he said, she said” story, which is the status of it as of now, as far as we’re informed.

But this is where it gets funny: One of the sites quoting the claims made on the Quinn & Rose Show is FreeRepublic.com, and hardly had they put the post up before they received a “cease and desist” letter from the DNC attorneys, claiming defamation, slander, libel and torture of little kitties. OK, we’re not sure about the little kitties, but they might as well have.

Oh yes, yet another attempt to rape and abuse our legal system in order to shut up opinion you don’t like.

And it happens on “our side” too. Some years ago, Donald Luskin tried to sue Atrios for quoting Paul Krugman. Sure, the former Enron advisor is an offensive gasbag, but that doesn’t mean that quoting him is illegal in any sense of the word. Poor taste, perhaps, but quite legal. So His Imperial Rottieness and a bunch of other sites got behind Atrios and his right to free speech and Luskin, realizing that he was acting like a bona fide fuckhead, backed off. Good for him.

If the DNC think they have a legal case regarding the Quinn & Rose Show story, then we strongly suggest that they take it up with them, because quoting them isn’t actionable unless you know for a fact that the story is bogus and, with malice aforethought, choose to publish it as the truth anyway.

I don’t know if it’s true or not either, maybe we’ll never know for sure, but since I’ve quoted it now, I guess you might as well go ahead and sue me too.

Good luck, you fucking Nazis.

Well, heh heh, you know the truth reviles them no end. Especially when it shows so blatantly how nothing is too far beyond the pale for them to try to take total power. Like fabrications, etc. What is wrong with these people? Do they REALLY think they’re just SO much better? Really?

And(sorry, just occured.), if so, why don’t the people agree with them and just sweep them into said total control? I mean, if they’re really SO good, why aren’t they there?

Help is available for this shiite, but not until Jan of ‘09….

Former Tennessee senator and potential presidential candidate Fred Thompson spoke to a gathering of Hillsborough County lawyers Thursday night, and while the event was closed to the press, Thompson said in an interview afterward that he’s “ready to run” if he decides the time is right to do so, but not interested in a running mate slot.

He suggested he’ll decide before September, the timetable espoused by another conservative who’s hanging on the sidelines in the crowded GOP primary, Newt Gingrich.

Fred or Newt… either one of ‘em would be fine.

Before those ambulance chasers DNC lackeys sent the C&D letters, I was a bit cynical about the story. Now I’m convinced it’s true and someone struck a nerve.

Reminds one of the old chestnut “How can you tell if a politician is lying? His lips are moving.”

No act is beyond the pale if they believe deep in the crevases and expanses of their BDS ridden brain pans that it might, somehow, some way allow them to score some kind of point. How tragic. One side with ineffectual leadership that fails to focus on all the important issues and on the other, we have a side that so consumed with its hatred of the other that it will engage in any act of partisan stupidity. And the barbarians at the gates are continually aided by the openly treasonous and the thought-challenged sympathizers. Kinda like any recent zombie movie. We’re running out of places to hide, and stupid never sleeps.

Dean tells Sebelius to say “We don’t have the resources to help our destroyed city because George sent them to Iraq!” It’s clearly a lie. The operations people on site say that if they can’t use any additional people. That they would be in the way. Harry Reid is spouting the same line. No surprise there. Sam Brownback (Republican) is sitting on his hands. Sebelius apologised to Brownback (as one friend to another) for taking advantage of a situation. Brownback knows that his friend (Sebelius) knows that she is lying. Sam is a Republican Presidential candidate? Why? No nuts Sam needs to switch sides. We need Republican leaders who are willing to stand up and be counted. Where is Sam? Sitting on his hands. We need Fred.

I have listened for many years to Quinn & Rose from the old WRRK days.

90% of what they have as breaking news is spot on.

The C&D order ices it for me.

It sickens me, but doesn’t surprise me.

On a side note concerning the tornado relief efforts.

Kirstie Alley made a visit over the weekend to Greensburg, (which I didn’t know about at the time, but then, I gave up on the local librags YEARS ago), with bottled water, food, building materials, etc.

A caller to one of the local radio stations this morning called to scream about the following:
    1) She, and the people with her, were wearing Scientology T-shirts, thus “shoving their religion down our throats”. The DJ’s (it’s a country music station), made the point that the softball team that they play on has the name of the sponsoring church on their shirts they wear when playing. The caller stated that that was different. (The DJ’s didn’t understand that particular argument…)(I think it went completely under their feet, just too spectacularly stupid for them to understand)

    2) This was all just a publicity stunt, and she didn’t really care about doing anything useful, just getting her name in the papers. because…

    3) “She’s not even from around here!” (She was born and raised in Wichita, her father had a lumberyard in Kechi for decades, which we did quite a bit of business with, and was the owner/operator of an interior design studio before going into acting) Now, the DJ’s at KFDI in the mornings are not locals. I don’t know exactly where they are from, but have caught several mentions by them of “moving here a few years ago”. So I can understand why they did not make this point with the caller.

    4) Caller hung with the parting shot of, “I bet you don’t think Paris Hilton should go to jail, either!”

I suppose that the entire point of this is to show that even idiots can listen to country music.

(BTW, the guys figured that 45 days in jail for that skanky piece of trash was too light of a sentence…)
