There appears to be a problem in the comments with line breaks not showing up correctly, as in no line breaks at all no matter what.

Apparently the thingummajig automatically inserting the proper HTML tags is taking a holiday, but I’m sure it’s being worked on as we speak.

I apologize for the mess.

[Update: I believe I found the culprit here.  The new version of WordPress does not play well with the smilies plugin.  So, for the time being, I have disabled the smilies until LMF comes out with a newer plugin. - DJ]

I told you there were some things I had to work on when I updated WordPress. This is going to take me a day or two to fix.

    In days of old,
    When knights were bold
    And toilets weren’t invented.
    They’d drop their load
    By side of road
    And walk away contented.

    …. or even….

    In days of old,
    When knights were bold
    And paper weren’t invented.
    They’d wipe their arse
    On clumps of grass
    And walk away contented.

    wait… there’s more…

In days of old when knights were bold
    And condoms weren’t invented,
They wrapped their beef with a piece of leaf
    And proceeded on contented.

In days of old, when Knights were bold
    And condoms weren’t invented
They stuck some socks upon their cocks
    And maids were quite contented,

    In the days of old
    When the Knights were bold
    And women weren’t invented
    Men drilled holes
    In telegraph poles
    And lived life quite contented.

    or..

    And had to be contented.

    and then there’s these:

In days of old when Knights were bold
    And toilets weren’t invented
They dug a pit and had a shit
    And came away quite contented

In days of old when Knights were bold
    And condoms weren’t invented
They stuck a sock upon their cock
    And babies were prevented

    Lastly:

    In days of old
    When knights were bold
    And people were contented,
    They wipe their arse
    On a piece of glass
    And drove themselves demented.

This has concluded my test of the commenting…

This problem is something that is going on throughout WordPress. I have a ticket in on it, as do a few other people. It was first noticed yesterday, and I am not sure what they are doing to address the issue.

Hopefully, they will have an answer back sometime in the next day or two.

    Okay, I found the conflict.

The problem is in the smilies. I had to disable the smilies for the time being.

Hopefully, they will update that plugin soon.

I think disabling the smilies also fixed THAT problem.
