Yes, that’s right. The Kennedy Full Amnesty Plan did meet with opposition from the Administration. Their problem was that it wasn’t generous enough:
Bush removes provision requiring back taxes from illegal immigrants
By Michael Kranish, Globe Staff | May 19, 2007WASHINGTON — The Bush administration insisted on a little-noticed change in the bipartisan Senate immigration bill that would enable 12 million
undocumented residentsillegal aliens to avoid paying back taxes or associated fines to the Internal Revenue Service, officials said.An independent analyst estimated the decision could cost the IRS tens of billions of dollars.
A provision requiring payment of back taxes had been in the initial version of a bill proposed by Senator Edward M. Kennedy, the Massachusetts Democrat. But the administration called for the provision to be removed due to concern that it would be too difficult to figure out which illegal immigrants owed back taxes.
“It’s too difficult to enforce the immigration laws already on the books, so we’ll just legalize illegal immigration. It’s also too difficult to make sure the little darlings pay the taxes they’ve been refusing to pay, so we’ll just legalize tax evasion. But only if you’re an illegal alien. The rest of you will have to pay up, and pay even more, since Presidente Arbusto and his RINO fuckweasels’ little Free Citizenship for Felons Program™ is projected to cost us $2.5 trillion.”
You’re going to be stomped in 2008, GOP Stupid Party, and you’ll deserve every bit of it.
Yes, I say “you”, because I’m not a Republican anymore.
Goodbye, and thanks for absolutely fucking nothing.
P.S.: Oh, and Dumbya, if the loony libs decide to go for it and start the impeachment machine, you’re on your own. I’m not lifting a finger for you.

I wonder if Bush simply doesn’t give a shit anymore…..or pandering to the companies wanting cheap labor the rest of us subsidize. He may very well succeed in crippling the republican party. Thr democrats got handed a harsh lesson in ‘94……now it’s the GOP about to face a force fed epiphany. Id Thompson runs as a republican I will vote for him……as for others…..

I’m writing Fred! in whether he runs or not. It’ll feel damn good to cast a ballot that didn’t require holding my nose.

Right now, I have this image in my head of Dubya wandering around the White House at night and jabbering over and over “I want to be a uniter, not a divider” like fucking Rainman.
*must be time for a shot*

Sire,
One question for you. If we don’t vote Republican, then WHO do we vote for. It is hard to believe that we should just sit on our thumbs. There HAS to be a political party out there that is actually conservative, one that we can vote into power. After all, the Republicans replaced the Whigs after the indecision over slavery… perhaps its time to replace the Republicans….
May 19th, 2007 at 8:59 PMUsing
That’s a good question. All that I can say is to find a candidate that actually stands for something you can support, rather than a candidate with a specific letter attached to his name.
If that guy happens to be a Republican, by all means vote for him. There’s no more sense in refusing to vote for a rock solid conservative just because he happens to be a member of the Stupid Party than there is in voting FOR him for no other reason than the “R” after his name. Yes, there ARE actually some conservative Republicans out there. Not a lot, but they’re there. Support them. Screw the rest.
But, above all, vote for somebody that you can vote FOR. And, for now, use the primaries. Support the conservatives, destroy the RINOs, and if there ARE no conservatives in your district or State, find one and draft him or her or run yourselves.

If illegals can legally evade paying back
May 19th, 2007 at 9:23 PMtaxes, then a precedent is set. How about
filing a class action suit of discrimination
in legal tax payers not having to pay
back taxes.

Everyone repeat ofter me, “5 bucks off your bill if you pay with CASH”!!!
I learned something watching these illegals for the past 20 years!

Setting aside the fact that taxation the way it exists now violates every damn individual right known to man…I guess it is true that some pigs are more “equal” than others.

I’m SO sick and tired of this bullshit! These people are a disgrace! At this point, I’d rather see Dennis Kucinich take the White House in a stunning socialist victory over the traitorous Republican scum that is foisting this piece of legislative excrement upon us.
They’re too lazy to enforce immigration laws already on the books. They’re too scared of pissing off the hispanic voter block to deport their illegal alien relatives back to the third-world shitholes from which they came. And they’re too inept to figure out who owes the government money. So instead, they’re going to issue them a blanket amnesty both from immigration laws and from paying taxes. THERE! THAT ought to stop the flow of illegal aliens across our porous borders! THAT’LL show them!
How much more illegal alien rectum will the GOP rim before we tell them enough is enough?

Why doesn’t everyone else get tax amnesty, then?

Can’t we ban presidential candidates from states that have proven to be disastrous contributors, IE: Arkansas, Texas, Georgia?
May 20th, 2007 at 7:57 AMSorry folks, nothin’ personal, but you’ve had your chance and look at the crap you’ve sent to DC. And while we’re at it how’s about a gag order requiring former Prez’s/VP’s to shut the fuck up and just retire silently? Let’s just us the national security line.

And what about all the other spineless Republicans in the Senate? Aren’t there 41 GOP Senators willing to fight for border security? Apparently not. Any Republican candidate who is on board with the projected deal should receive no consideration from Conservatives as a Presidential nominee - period.
“What part of illegal does the Senate not understand? Any plan that rewards illegal behavior is amnesty,” said Rep. Brian Bilbray, R-Calif., chairman of the Immigration Reform Caucus. It’s a shame that his is but a single voice in the wilderness.
Truly we are now a one-party government; there is no difference between the Democrats and the Republicans.

Alright. That BY GOD is ENOUGH!
I’m filing for President. Constitution Party.
Party platform:
1) All Gun Control is unconstitutional. Anything up to and including 120 mm mortars and hand grenades are covered by the Second Ammendment. If you can make an argument for something larger being an individual weapon, make an application and we will see what we can do. Biological weapons will not be considered in this category.
2) Abortion is an abomination, and I will do everything in my power to end the practice, world wide.
3) No one gets special rights or priveledges. All human beings are born with the right to live your life as long as he / she does not harm or interfere witht he rights of another human being. Animals are food and clothing.
4) Liberals can kiss my ass.
5) Anyone left of FRED! is a librul.
First, I’m going to the range. Again.
May 20th, 2007 at 8:54 AMUsing
6) The maximum total tax rate (including Federal, State, Local, excise, gasoline, use, property, etc.) any individual can be subjected to legally and morally is 25%. To effect and encourage this, the Federal Income Tax rate is immediately dropped to 10%, and the Social Security / Medicare total is now 5%, all of which will be collected from the individual. Surely the states and counties and cities can live on the other 10%.
Illegal Aliens commit a Felony by coming here, and another felony by remaining. If found, they are to be sent to the prison in Pima County, Arizona for 25 years, where thay will recive subsistence level food, no money, no consideration for parole, and will be forced to do community benifit projects as defined by the Sherrif of the county. At the conclusion of their term, said illegal alien shall be sent back to his country of origion, and dropped with food and water for one day at the point furthest from the Sovereign Teritory of the United States.
May 20th, 2007 at 9:05 AM7) No Government Official shall have an annual salary more than 125% of the average income of an American Citizen.

This is just sickening. I work my butt off for medical insurance and these assholes get free medical just for showing up. Not that I want to pay the taxes for free medical but if you cannot show legal residency status then you get nothing.
May 20th, 2007 at 10:57 AMUsing
We don’t need to deny emergency medical care … but we do need to deport non-citizens after they get it.
Every hospital should be required to ID welfare medical cases if they want reimbursement … ones without ID should be picked up and evaluated by ICE as soon as they are healthy enough to be transported.

(*drools*) 120 mm mortars….
May 20th, 2007 at 12:53 PMUsing
There is a very simple and elegant solution to the problem, but no politician will touch it with a 10-foot pole… Cut the fucking welfare. Welfare programs are scams. They rob the productive and reward the lazy.
May 20th, 2007 at 12:54 PMUsing
No, no, you don’t understand, this might be a good thing, a real good thing. Here’s why.
If they have to pay back taxes, that means they will fall under the tax laws of each year they’re paying these back taxes. Their is a good chance that if an illegal with a family files, he/she will most likely receive Earned Income Credit (EIC). A couple filing joint or head of household with 3 children can earn up around $35,000 per year and get EIC. When a person gets EIC, that means they paid no Federal Income Tax and they additionally to getting free money back from the government. Since the illegals are mostly picking fruits and vegetables, and doing the other jobs Americans don’t want, I seriously doubt any of them earned over $25,000 per year. If they did, I doubt they will ever report it because they will be advised on what to do in order to get EIC. The US Treasury is going to get a serious reaming by this. The American Taxpayers would be better off if the illegals didn’t pay back taxes. Think about it.
Prior to my retirement from the USAF, I was trained by the IRS to assist GI’s with filing income taxes. This may have been the only smart thing Bush has done concerning illegals.
May 20th, 2007 at 10:03 PMUsing
Doh I forgot about that, and I shouldn’t have. I accidentally got EIC one week on my paycheck from Pizza Hut about 15 years ago and had a major mess with my taxes after that. You know I’m all for helping the poor but please PLEASE cut out the “new deal” bullcrap. That socialist pile of pig vomit has all-but destroyed our country and if we don’t put a halt to it fast it will do so very soon. And even if by some miracle we manage to limp along for awhile, when Europe finally extracts its heads from its collective nether regions and gives socialism the boot they will shoot past us faster than than superman could fly even when he was in a hurry.
Still its sad that we have to look for excuses to think “oh wow he hasn’t COMPLETELY lost his brains after all”. Very sad indeed.
