Thanks to our Imperial Tech Wiz, who sent us this, along with the comment that it would make our skin crawl which, indeed, it did. It also made our trigger finger itch. Badly.

WBC to picket the funeral of Rev. Jerry Falwell - at Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Virginia - in religious protest and warning: “God is not mocked!,, Gal. 6:7. God Hates Fags! & Fag-Enablers! Ergo, God hates Jerry Falwell, Billy Graham, Pat Robertson, and all such Arminian heretic preachers - from fundamentalist evangelicals to openly gay Episcopalians and pedophile Catholics - all of whom have created the Satanic Sodomite Zeitgeist wherein America has irreversibly gone the way of Sodom.

Speaking of that, Phred Phuckhead, His Imperial Majesty has this nice, incredibly splintered 2-by-4, and it would be our distinct pleasure to use it to introduce you and your entire psychotic, inbred extended litter to “the ways of Sodom.”

Painful, yes, but look at the upside: It would be the first sex any members of your “church” had that didn’t involve the active participation of an immediate family member.

Burn in Hell, asshole.

Damn I hate that Phelps pigfucker! From the way he obsesses about homosexuality, I suspect he himself is pretty light in the loafers, if ya know what I mean, but can’t get any action since he is ass-ugly. Thus, the anger and the hysterics. Hell hath no fury like a disgracefully aging “queen”.

I don’t understand why this group protests soldiers’, and now Rev Falwell’s, funeral?

If they’re so obsessed with gays, why not go to San Francisco or any other place with a large homosexual population, and protest about them there?

Personally, I think they’re afraid of them, and grieving friends and families are an easy target that won’t necessarily fight back.

If Phredy Phuckhead and his so-called “church” did lead to any good thing, it’s the Patriot Guard Riders. We were formed to protect the families of the fallen from witnessing this level of disregard and disrespect to the fallen. Know this, this is all peaceful protection, we just stand by with our 3×5 American Flags to block the view of the grievers from this abomination. But, then again, having to look across the street at a bunch of bikers, in leather, shades and boots, hold the flag SHOULD be peaceful. Who in Phucknugget’s group wants to be the first to cross THAT street? Bet Phred ain’t it.

And I’m sure that if asked, whether we agree with Rev. Falwell, the PGR would be there for his family too.

I know that you would, because that’s what it’s all about: It doesn’t matter WHO or WHAT you are, nobody should interfere with your funeral. Or, to put it another way, if you can’t let somebody at least be buried in peace, then you’re lower than whale shit.

Heck, if that despicable shit, John Trichinosis of AmericaBlatherBlog, was to croak and Phred’s Phuckheads threatened with showing up, I’d still be in favor of beating the everloving snot out of them.

Funerals are to be respected. Period. End. Stop.

Sounds like a plan to me, Muzzy, and just about the only exception to the rule about not disturbing funerals I can think of. After all, turnabout IS fair play.

In fact, once the funeral is over and I can get close to the hole they put the worthless assnugget in, I volunteer to swallow a laxative, a diuretic and a bottle of Ipecac.

I think it goes a little deeper than that. It’s that collective guilt thing—they apparently see our “tolerance” of homosexuality as acceptance and so all of us are being punished by G-d. 9/11 is a puported example of this “punishment.” Apparently, the WBC didn’t get the memo that 19 psycho-fucks from the Religion of Piss perpetrated the act, not G-d.

And people like me don’t recall ever condoning the lifestyle, as I’m sure many victims of 9/11 and our fallen troops would agree.

If I recall, the WBC wants to make homosexuality a capital offense. I absolutely detest the lifestyle like any hot-blooded Christian who at least knows some of his Scripture, but you won’t find me calling for their execution either.

Far too nuanced, I think. The thing you need to understand about Fred Phelps is that he’s madder than a shithouse rat who, when he’s not out picketing funerals with his ricket-ravaged progeny, probably spends his days jerking off in his own feces screaming “WHY? WHY DIDN’T YOU LOVE ME, MOMMA??” while wearing nipple clamps and one of those funny propellor hats.

It’s probably best not to spend too much time searching for coherence or consistency in his words and actions.

    Comment by Lady Heather

I don’t understand why this group protests soldiers’, and now Rev Falwell’s, funeral?

If they’re so obsessed with gays, why not go to San Francisco or any other place with a large homosexual population, and protest about them there?

Simple - they’ve been doing that for about 20 years or so, but weren’t getting enough airtime. A large number of Americans, including the late Rev. Falwell, share their anti-homosexual hatred and couldn’t bring themselves to condemn the behavior because they agree with the basic message. (Sort of like so-called ‘moderate’ Muslims won’t give more than lip service to stopping terrorists because they kinda like the idea of Islam triumphing over the decadent West.) They picketed the funerals of literally hundreds of homosexuals and AIDS victims, but apparently most of the country couldn’t care less about the grief of a few fags and their families. Phelps and co. turned to showing up at the funerals of soldiers because *that* elicits the sympathy - and thus the attention - of the general population.

In fact, Phelps blaming the death of US troops on our tolerance of fags isn’t appreciably different from Falwell blaming 9/11 on our tolerance of fags. The main difference is that Falwell had the common decency not to say things like that at people’s funerals. (And while he was known to favor a return to the literal meaning of Lev. 20:13, he had the business sense not to say so on the record.) Well, that, and Falwell actually did something helpful every once in a while, which is more than Phelps can ever claim.

The only reason to disrupt Falwell’s funeral is to create outrage and therefore get attention. Obviously I’m no fan of the late Rev., but it’s still unconscionable. Whether the Phelps brigade is simply blocked out or provided more - shall we say - forceful dissuasion, anyone who opposes them has my hearty approval.
