As our limited intel on the Mad Mullah’s nuclear ambitions decrease, IAEA Boob-In-Chief urges even more dialogue.

IAEA: Iran 3-8 years from atomic weapons

The head of the U.N. nuclear agency said Thursday he agreed with CIA estimates that Iran was three to eight years from being able to make nuclear weapons and he urged the U.S. and other powers to pursue talks with the Islamic country.

Since it’s worked so well this far, might as well continue doing More Of The Same™ blather-fests. I am surprised El Baradei extracted Ammadinnerjacket’s meat pole from his mouth long enough to come up with Sure-Fire Solution #21497.

The best way to keep Iran from acquiring nuclear arms is “through a comprehensive dialogue,” International Atomic Energy Agency chief Mohamed ElBaradei told a news conference in Luxembourg. “One way to do that, rather than to continue the rhetoric, is to … sit down together.”

If I’m not mistaken, the rhetoric has largely come from your boyfriend there Doc. You remember, “holocaust denial” and “finishing what Hitler started”. But then again, I might have missed the rhetorical points in stating “Iran is getting damn close to building nuclear weapons”. I agree language is an art form to some extent, but demonstrably factual statements, backed by corroborating additional statements, might be considered a little more convincing than rhetoric.

On Wednesday, the IAEA reported that Iran’s uranium enrichment program was expanding in defiance of U.N. demands that it be suspended, findings that could lead to new sanctions against the country.

Obviously requiring even more demands and if it really gets out of control, a stern look.

The report also warned that the IAEA’s knowledge of those activities was shrinking. [Emph Mine]

Considering so far, nobody has done fuck-all to slow or stop Tehran’s stated nuclear intentions, I’m actually surprised they’ve even bothered to hide their continuing project. I mean if they really, really wanted to hide their progress, why not hire Pinch’s Putzes for Op-Sec?

“We are moving toward Iran building (nuclear) capacity and knowledge, without (the IAEA) in a position to verify the nature or scope of that program,” ElBaradei said.

Why is this not surprising? The only nature ElPillowBiter can normally see is Mad Mullah’s navels, at close distance. The muzzies are more emboldened daily, what with the paramecium in congress trying to surrender to the terrorists faster than Paris Hilton’s panties fall off, why shouldn’t they be?

ElBaradei would not offer his own view of when Iran would be able to produce nuclear weapons. But he added, “I tend to agree with (CIA estimates) that even if Iran wanted to go to nuclear weapons it would not be before the end of this decade or sometime in the middle of the next” — three to eight years. [Emp Mine, Again]

Of course he won’t offer his own view as it would be eerily similar to Tehran’s, bought and paid for. After all, the IAEA is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Turdle Bay Criminal Cartel.

Iran insists it has no intention of pursuing nuclear weapons — as the U.S. and its allies fear — saying its program is only for producing an alternative source of energy.

An alternative energy source, much more efficient and rapid than the energy source employed at Treblinka and Auschwitz.

Pushed by the United States, France and Britain, the U.N. Security Council has imposed sanctions twice against Iran for its refusal to suspend uranium enrichment, which can produce both fuel for a reactor and the material for a nuclear warhead.

Obligatory obfuscation courtesy of the AP and Al-Jizmzeera. Besides, Iran is only trying to do it’s share to stop Global Worming, by adopting a green ‘final solution’.

ElBaradei said the United States should take “inspiration” from negotiations that have recently defused the crisis over North Korea’s nuclear activities — even though the North has yet to fulfill its pledge to scrap its weapons program.

‘Inspired’ negotiations, that didn’t work. You know the drill, keep trying the same thing over and OVER, expecting different results.

ElBaradei attended a conference of about 60 nuclear arms technology experts from a dozen nations, including the United States, Russia, Japan, Canada and Sweden.

In an opening address, ElBaradei said the U.N. needs a far more “agile and systematic approach for responding to cases of (nuclear) proliferation.” [Emph Mine]

Agile and systematic. Duck and Cover.

He said the acquisition of nuclear arms technology by India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea showed the current shortcomings.

Those pesky Jooos, nevermind they weren’t (and properly so) signatories to your vaunted treaty ensuring a renegade, islamo-fascist regime would never break it and thus earn a rude “finger-pointing” by the UN. Heaven Forbid that hideous sanction.

Monitoring compliance with the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty must be “drastically reformed,” he said, adding that he will propose a set of changes in the next few weeks.

One idea is the creation of an international nuclear “fuel bank,” which would eliminate any reason for countries seeking a peaceful nuclear program to enrich uranium themselves.

Today’s lesson is Nuclear Physics 101. Every common power reactor design produces quantities of fissile material, both Plutonium and Uranium of slightly higher enrichment than the original fuel. The French have pioneered the Liquid Metal Fast Breeder Reactor (LMFBR). As the name implies, the reactor produces more fissionable material (Pu-239) than the original enriched Uranium (U-235) fuel and of course, uses a radically different engineering design and physics than ordinary PWR or BWR reactor projects. The downside to the design is that the U-235 enrichment of the original fuel is typically 3-5 times that of other fuels. Any bets on special fuels available from the ‘bank’? Conveniently provided by Fwance.

The emphasis on containing enrichment has gained prominence because of the concern about Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The IAEA started investigating Iran’s program after revelations that the country for nearly two decades had been clandestinely developing enrichment and other nuclear activities that could be used to make weapons. [Emph Mine, again of course]

The ‘containment’ genie left the barn a long time ago. Our ‘friends’ in the former Soviet Union having some cash flow issues, found a willing customer for the hardware and people-ware needed. Not to be outdone, the French and Chinese also managed some side-deals in the nuclear weapons “Three Card Monte” game as well.

This isn’t going away by wishful thinking or ‘inspired’ negotiations. Inspired target coordinates along an appropriate ballistic trajectory would go a long way towards ‘containment’.

I want whatever drugs ElBaradei has been smoking, because it not only alters your mind, but takes you to an alternate, Bizarro universe where all that is good is evil, and all that is evil is good.

If you always do what you always did,
You will always get what you always got.

In other words, if something doesn’t work the first couple of hundred times you try it, try something else. Like a big bright flash and loud noise over one of the enrichment sites. Try that 200 times and then we’ll try something else.

Three years from now, Iran will have their first Nuclear Bomb. Anyone offering odds that the test shot WILL NOT be in either Israel or the United States?

Is anyone else around here as sick and freaking tired of that shit ass word “dialog” as I am? What kind of psychosis must be present in a person’s mind that causes them to believe that sitting on your ass and jabbering is supposed to solve a problem of this magnitude?

So - the IAEA give Iran 3-8 years to create A-Bombs. Then that really means Iran should be ready to lob a few nukes into Israel by the end of next year.

There are experts that put Iran with usable nukes in 2009.

Between 3-7 before the end of 2009.

The best way to keep Iran from acquiring nuclear arms is to sell them sabotaged components.
