Nothing new, really. As we already witnessed during the Miers affair, the RINOs are not in the least above resorting to baseless smears and insults when they find themselves running out of actual arguments to support their latest drivel, particularly when it comes to smearing the voters what brung them to the dance. How to Win Friends and Influence People, the RINO Way.

Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Saxby Chambliss of Georgia were booed at their respective state party conventions Sunday for supporting a compromise immigration bill.

“I Can’t Believe It’s Not Amnesty!”

Their specific sin was collaborating with the liberal lion of the Senate, Edward M. Kennedy. But behind the catcalls was Republican rage over undocumented foreigners, a sentiment GOP lawmakers must appease if they want to avoid dire consequences.

“Undocumented foreigners.” How cute. Just as the 19 of 9/11 infamy were nothing but “undocumented demolition workers”, no doubt only “doing the urban renewal work that no Americans will do.” And John Cooey was, we suppose, really only Jessica Lunsford’s “undocumented sex ed teacher”, right Novak?

Why are the party faithful throughout the country so incensed by immigration?

Look at Bobby Novak’s pretty strawman. Here, Bobby, why don’t you try to light a match after we douse it in gasoline, preferably while you’re giving it a big, warm embrace?

Oh yes, we’re just “incensed by immigration”, particularly those of us who are immigrants ourselves. Makes perfect sense. Which part of “illegal” does the rotting matter inside your balding head fail to understand?

When I asked Graham, he quoted from a federal government report on the new arrivals to this country, “largely unskilled laborers” and heavily illiterate: “The new immigration has provoked a widespread feeling of apprehension as to its effect on the economic and social welfare of the country.” The report, by the U.S. Immigration Commission, was dated 1911.

When Graham returned to Washington on Monday as the immigration debate began, he read the 96-year-old quote into the Senate record to demonstrate that fear of foreigners is not new for Americans.

Because that’s all it really is. Fear of foreigners. Not a bit about respect for our laws, not even a smidgen of resentment at lawbreakers being given for free what countless legal immigrants have worked for years to get, not to mention all of the ones still trying to get in legally, some of them having tried for decades.

Nope, it’s just all of us party faithful troglodytes hating brown people.

This nation of immigrants has greeted successive waves of newcomers with apprehension stoked by demagogues. It has overcome such past xenophobic impulses.

Of course, those past waves of newcomers at least had the decency to get here legally, not to mention that they went to the trouble of assimilating to the country they wanted to live in. You don’t hear many “for Polish, press ‘2′” when making a phone call, do you? Nor do you have a whole lot of Germans insisting that every government document be printed in German as well, you don’t have a flood of Italians insisting that their kids receive free bi-lingual education from Kindergarten onwards, you don’t see the Jooos demanding Hebrew-only public broadcasting, need we go on?

But that will be more difficult in an era of Internet bloggers and radio talkers, with the Republican Party in trouble and seeking a unifying issue at the grass roots and with the Democratic Party sensing its adversary’s weakness and moving in for the kill.

We know. It would be ever so helpful if the “Republican” lawmakers on the Hill made a note of that too, because those of us who voted for them can’t seem to make them understand. They’re too busy deep-throating Ted Kennedy and La Raza to bother with such minor concerns.

Graham and Chambliss, both up for reelection next year, were unprepared for the hostility they encountered at their state party conventions. In Columbia, S.C., delegates erupted in boos when Graham mentioned Teddy Kennedy’s name.

We think it’s safe to say that Lindsay Lohan Graham’s stupidity has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt when (s)he expresses surprise at Republican voters being less than impressed with Fat Chappaquiddick Ted’s bona fides.

Chambliss’s apparent proximity to Kennedy in a photograph evoked booing in Duluth, Ga. Unaccustomed to such treatment, Chambliss expressed his resentment to Senate colleagues back in Washington.

“Waaaaaah! They were mean to me! Help meeeeeeeeeeeeee!”

You might wish to address your concerns to the people who, you know, voted for you instead of running to the flabby fins of Kennedy for comfort. Just an idea, you insufferable, imbecilic assweasel.

Graham was not happy with his junior South Carolina colleague, Sen. Jim DeMint, for playing to the convention crowd with anti-immigration oratory.

Good. Go pound sand, sissy-boy, because we don’t give a flying fuck in the arse of a mosquito about your “happiness.” If you don’t like your voters, perhaps you should try running on a different ticket? You sure as fuck wouldn’t be missed on our side of the aisle.

Nor was Graham happy with the performance in Columbia by DeMint’s candidate for president, Mitt Romney. The former governor of Massachusetts won cheers by claiming the Senate compromise constitutes “amnesty” — the word guaranteed to rouse Republican audiences. Only two years ago, Romney supported a less restrictive bill passed by the Senate on the grounds that it did not constitute “amnesty.” Sen. John McCain, who supports the Senate compromise and is Graham’s choice for president, said Monday: “Maybe I should wait a few weeks and see if [Romney’s position] changes.”

So he’s a flip-flopper. Hardly something you want in a candidate, but if we had to choose, we’d pick that over a traitor, Johnny McAmnesty.

Nobody can testify better than Rep. Mike Pence (Ind.), a nationally renowned conservative, about how dangerous this issue is for a Republican. In 2006, Pence brought a cascade of abuse on himself for proposing an immigration compromise. He held his ground, recalling his Irish immigrant grandfather. But last week, he rejected the new Senate compromise as “amnesty,” although it resembles his own plan.

Perhaps he learned something? Perhaps Romney did too? Who knows?

Hard as it must be for you to imagine, there are actually people out there who are capable of admitting that they were wrong and changing their position on something when their wrongness has been demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt. There are politicians out there who are willing to listen to the ones that voted for them, horrible as it must seem to supporters of incumbency such as yourself.

Many Republicans reach for an anti-immigration lifeline because of the party’s plight. Burdened with an unpopular president and an unpopular war, the GOP cannot claim to be the party of limited government and controlled spending.

Not the way they’ve been spending and expanding government, that’s for sure. When you surpass even Wilhelm von Slickmeister von Klintoonenstein in government waste, you’re well beyond the point where calling yourself a “conservative” will elicit anything other than roars of laughter and derisive sneers.

But immigrant-bashing divides rather than unites Republicans, as the South Carolina and Georgia conventions showed. In a recent closed-door meeting of the House’s conservative Republican Study Committee, Rep. Bob Inglis (S.C.) raised the danger of resembling South Africa’s National Party advocating apartheid.

Fuck you, you lying, dishonest, overpaid hack. There’s no “immigrant-bashing” going on here, at least not from a single opponent of the Shamnesty Bill that I know of. The only “bashing” is of illegal immigrants, also referred to as “criminals” since they did, after all, break the law numerous times. Obviously, resentment towards criminals is suddenly a Bad Thing™ according to the self-anointed elites.

And take your comparisons to South Africa and Apartheid and go shove them somewhere anatomically impossible, will you? When some of our troops put panties on terrorists’ heads, they were referred to as Nazi Stormtroopers and Gulag Commandants, when we criticized Harriet Miers we were called misogynistic troglodytes, and now we’re Apartheid supporters because we demand that our borders be secured and THE FUCKING LAWS ALREADY ON THE BOOKS BE ENFORCED?

You sound like the fucking KosKidz, you morons.

Fuck you, Bobby Novak, fuck you, GOP, fuck you all to Hell and back. Fuck you with a fence post dipped in glue and rolled in broken glass, then wrapped in razor wire. Fuck you in ways that would make Satan himself throw up in his mouth, fuck you with a chainsaw…

Fuck YOU!

We’re done with you. All of you. Your party is dead to us. Dead. Gone. History. We’d no sooner vote for you or anybody associated with you than we’d scrape off our own genitals with a cheese grate. Fuck. You.

Thatisall.

That’s called being out of touch with the people you “work” for dipshits. If you had bothered to know what the citizens that were apparently stupid enough to vote for you wanted, you might have saved your over inflated careers. Where are fiscal conservatives on this? Not mad enough if you ask me. I’m really considering canning my WSJ subscription over this. These clowns should learn they will get nothing from the other side. Any benefit they would get from guest workers will be covered up by ten times the taxes they pay right now because of a Democratic majority. They are cutting their own throats. However, when I walk down the street in Lower Manhattan and see these people crying because they’re out of work and they have to sell their penthouses and McMansions as a result, I’ll just say “serves you right.”

My Emperor, as one of your LC’s whose office looks out over the Potomac; let me pontificate as to why your local congresscritter is ready to roll over and lick the dingleberries off of Teddy’s wrinkled ass. Inside the Beltway you have maybe 20% (I’m being generous) of the population that are Conservatives (notice I didn’t say Republications). In addition you have every left leaning to all out socialist news outlets that control all the information in this town. The result, your local congresscritter gets his or her information from inside the Beltway sources i.e. the left. And you wonder why they’re bewildered that when they go home their booed and hissed. They’re bewildered too. They’ve been told by the Washington Post that the people love this amnesty bill back home and they should vote for it and they fall for it. Remember your congresscritter spends less than 10% of their time back home mingling with the unwashed rabble. They only want to talk/hear/shake hand and eat breakfast with you is when they need their employment extended for another two or six years. Other than that they don’t want to hear from you unless you have your checkbook out and the pen in your hand (most even take credit cards now). Oh, send an e-mail, letter or phone call? If the drone on the other end doesn’t share your view, guess what, the time you spent doing it was a waste of time.

Sorry folks, but this is the reality of the Beltway. It maybe physically in America but intellectually, it may as well in deep space for all the good it would do.

The republicans have stopped calling me asking for money…it took a while. Telling them to seal the fucking border and haning up didn’t work. But telling them I am now an independent conservative did. I don’t give a damn what color you are, you religious beliefs, if any…..your heritage or sexual preferences. I DO care about the preservation of our way of life, a notion seemingly escaping the whores we now have in congress. All the better reason to have a second amendment. I was thinking about this earlier and I had an “interesting” thought. I’m not sure if it’s accurate however. As I understand it, the illegals and many pro-amnesty farts want to “reconquer” the American Southwest by revoking the Treaty of Guadeloupe Hidalgo. Of course most probably just want to make it null and void without formally revoking it and all that mess… but aren’t the two equivalent?

I think they are. Which brings me to my point. If I remember correctly, this treaty ended the Mexican-American War after Texas joined the Union. So if the treaty is revoked, wouldn’t that *automatically* put us BACK at war with Mexico? And if so, wouldn’t then all militia members have the right to take up arms against all foreign invaders from the country with which we were at war? And if I remember correctly, every american over the age of 18 is part of the milita… right?

So what am I missing here?

    Ha! That sounds familiar.

I wonder if anyone pointed out to Graham that we didn’t just allow the immigrants in 1911 to walk right in. Nitpicky little things like health inspections and whatnot. Also, the “unskilled” labor market was a whole lot larger in 1911. This being the “information age” and all, I presume that we would prefer skilled laborers because of a more beneficial contribution to our economy and culture? Just sayin’s’all.

It really pisses me off that they refer to these illegal criminals are Immigrants. My grandparents were Immigrants who immigrated to this nation through Ellis Island. They didn’t sneak over the border, they came legally. The MSM, Liberals, and RINO’s are trying to lump these lawbreakers in with those who came legally. That’s like referring meth cookers as Pharmacists.
