A tangentially related fact: I went to junior high school with a fellow named Tom Morrow.

Other related fact: the writer of that slogan is the likely nominee for chairman of Hillary’s Department of Education.

    9/11 - THE TRUTH!

    9/11 - EVIDENCE OF COMPLICITY

    AWOL Chain of Command:

    a. It is well documented that the officials topping the chain of command for response to a domestic attack - George W. Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, Richard Myers, Montague Winfield - all found reason to do something else during the actual attacks, other
than assuming their duties as decision-makers.
    b. Who was actually in charge? Dick Cheney, Richard Clarke, Norman Mineta and the 9/11 Commission directly conflict in their accounts of top-level response to the unfolding events, such that several (or all) of them must be lying.

    Air Defense Failures:

    a. The US air defense system failed to follow standard procedures for responding to diverted passenger flights.
    b. Timelines: The various responsible agencies - NORAD, FAA, Pentagon, USAF, as well as the 9/11 Commission - gave radically different explanations for the failure (in some cases upheld for years), such that several officials must have lied; but
    none were held accountable.
    c. Was there an air defense standdown?

    Pentagon Strike:

How was it possible the Pentagon was hit 1 hour and 20 minutes after the attacks began? Why was there no response from Andrews Air Force Base, just 10 miles away and home to Air National Guard units charged with defending the skies above the nation’s capital? How did Hani Hanjour, a man who failed as a Cessna pilot on his first flight in a Boeing, execute a difficult aerobatic maneuver to strike the Pentagon?
Why did the attack strike the just-renovated side, which was largely empty and opposite from the high command?

    Wargames:

    a. US military and other authorities planned or actually rehearsed defensive response to all elements of the 9/11 scenario during the year prior to the attack - including multiple hijackings, suicide crashbombings, and a strike on the Pentagon.
    b. The multiple military wargames planned long in advance and held on the morning of September 11th included scenarios of a domestic air crisis, a plane crashing into a government building, and a large-scale emergency in New York. If this was only an incredible series of coincidences, why did the official investigations avoid the issue? There is evidence that the wargames created confusion as to whether the unfolding events were “real world or exercise.” Did wargames serve as the cover
for air defense sabotage, and/or the execution of an “inside job”?

    Flight 93:

Did the Shanksville crash occur at 10:06 (according to a seismic report) or 10:03 (according to the 9/11 Commission)? Does the Commission wish to hide what happened in the last three minutes of the flight, and if so, why? Was Flight 93 shot down, as indicated by the scattering of debris over a trail of several miles?

    THE DAY - SMOKING GUNS

Did cell phones work at 30,000 feet in 2001? How many hijacking were attempted? How many flights were diverted?

    Demolition Lies and Fairy Tales:

What caused the collapse of a third skyscraper, WTC 7, which was not hit by a plane? Were the Twin Towers and WTC 7 brought down by explosives? (See “The Case for Demolitions,” the websites wtc7.net and 911research.wtc7.net, and the influential article by physicist Steven Jones. See also items no. 16 and 24, below.)

    FOREKNOWLEDGE & THE ALLEGED HIJACKERS

What did officials know? How did they know it?

    a. Multiple allied foreign agencies informed the US government of a coming attack in detail, including the manner and likely targets of the attack, the name of the operation (the “Big Wedding”), and the names of certain men later identified as being among the perpetrators.
    b. Various individuals came into possession of specific advance knowledge, and some of them tried to warn the US prior to September 11th.
    c. Certain prominent persons received warnings not to fly on the week or on the day of September 11th.

Able Danger, Plus - Surveillance of Alleged Hijackers:

    a. The men identified as the 9/11 ringleaders were under surveillance for years beforehand, on the suspicion they were terrorists, by a variety of US and allied authorities - including the CIA, the US military’s “Able Danger” program, the German
    authorities, Israeli intelligence and others.
    b. Two of the alleged ringleaders who were known to be under surveillance by the CIA also lived with an FBI asset in San Diego, but this is supposed to be yet another coincidence.

    Bush’s Secret Government:

    a. The record of criminality and sponsorship of coups around the world by the covert networks based within the US intelligence complex.
    b. Specifically also: The evidence of crime by Bush administration principals and their associates, from October Surprise to Iran-Contra and the S&L plunder to
PNAC, Enron/Halliburton, Bechtel, Diebold and beyond.

    SUMMARY:

    BUSH LIED - PEOPLE DIED

I stayed in a hotel in Newark New Jersey in the 80’s where the cockroaches were so big you could hear them crambling about in the hallways at night. Damned things were HUGE too!, I came across one when I stepped out of my room to get a pop from the pop machine…scared the crap out of me, I’ve never seen a bug that big. I’d say that the only thing comparable in size that I’ve seen are the Wolf Spiders back home in Colorado.

We call em Palmetto Bugs here in FL., just like Mrs. M says. The one you see in and around houses get pretty big, but you should see the ones out in the brush!

Are you still here? My other posts to you went away. I wanted to say several things.

    1) Your comment that I come here and am allowed to post and you would be banned from a left-wing site is probably true, unfortunately. I think that is wrong.

    2) Sorry about being rude. I took your comment the wrong way. I do object to the comment that it’s because I am a liberal from Cal. Hypersensitivity is a character flaw that is not politically based. You will find overly sensitive conservatives, too (yes, I’m being too sensitive!). About the Cal thing. I grew up in Delaware and lived in NY, Mass, Arizona, and Cal. I’m not really a California chick.

    3) About the scientist comment, it was not to show that I am so smart. I was actually saying it to help your argument–that I might be more aware of the mercury issue because I was a scientist, and normal people might just space and throw them out like you said.

    4) About the BS thing about my credentials, I am highly insulted that you would impugn my character. What kind of weasel do you think I am? I’m not going to be an asshole, because I’m not like that. I’ve probably mentioned credentials too much. It started out as a defense against someone who called me a liberal retard–kind of over-reacted. Do not mean to come off as snotty. Everything I have said about myself, my husband, and my dog is true.

I hesitate to do this, because I’ve really pissed some people off. Most of you seem like OK people, but I don’t know that someone won’t show up at my doorstep–people probably have more important things to do with their lives. I don’t Google well, and we screen our calls with an answering machine that frequently doesn’t work (bummer!)

Here are the verifiable details of my pedigree. This is not to show I am wonderful, but is to show that I have not been lying. I would put links to my papers, but I think you have to be subscribed to a university library to get the journals. Actually, there are very few of them, and I suck. I think the quality of my posts is what’s important, not my pedigree, but I will not be accused of lying when I can clear my name. Once again, my super-intelligent spouse only had a year of college–I know you don’t have to have degree(s) to be smart and educated. I’M GIVING THE LIST TO SHOW I’M NOT A LIAR, NOT TO THROW IT IN ANYBODY’S FACE

[Editor’s Note: I edited out your personal stuff and credentials, Helga, and, may I add, I believe you. I didn’t remove the info because any of us around here would do anything with it, but it IS a public forum open to anybody who happens to pass by. Privacy and safety are important to me, and even though you yourself put it up there, I still don’t feel right about leaving it out there in the public domain. I’d hate it if some sick psycho happened to pass by and glean information that he has no right to have.

Anybody doubting your credentials will just have to learn to live with it. At least now I’m ready to attest that you were willing to put it all up there, something that you shouldn’t even have to do in the first place, because I saw it here before I edited it.

Yes, I know the chances of it being used by a nutcase are slim to non-existent, but I’d rather be paranoid than to see your privacy abused, whether I agree with you or not. — Emp. Misha]

Now a science PhD doesn’t mean you know jackshit about politics, just that you are trained to analyze. I just happen to be compulsive about keeping up with politics and interested in alternative viewpoints (and boy do I get them here!). Please do not think I’m being self-aggrandizing. I was just furious about being called a liar. Head popping off, and steam coming out furious.

But hey–my dog loves me, what more can I ask for? (spouse seems to also)

If I’ve done this huge production, and Skyechild is gone, I’m going to feel pretty fucking stupid.

IT’s the commie part I argue with. Would a former corporate lawyer who sat on the Board of Walmart really be a communist?

Infiltrating has been a commie technique since the early 1920s. Ever hear about Armand Hammer? Friend of Lenin and the only westerner ever allowed to fly his personal jet into Soviet airspace without prior permission or a visa. Lots of “Capitalists” have gladly sold out to the Communists. Some of them have been known as “rope merchants”. Learn another Communist jargon tern - “Entryism”, it refers to entering and subverting non-Communist organziations. Your Hubert Humphrey began his career battling this phenomenon in the late 1940s. That was in the good old days when anti-communist liberals were more real than the tooth fairey.

You might also want to investigate the Hildebeeste’s past. Her first job out of law shcool was working as a legal assistant for Robert Treuhaft, a lawer known to be a communist, who has yet to repudiate his ties to The Party. Nor has Hillary repudiated her ties to him.

(if everyone doesn’t hate me now)

I think I have the worst cockroach story. Tucson has really big ones, and some of them live in the sewers. I am really hyper. I was washing my face in the sink about 2 AM, and this giant cockroach crawled out of the drain. Normally, I’m fine with insects, but that was one serious shriek.

One pest control company would label a cockroach and let it loose in the sewers. If you found it, you got a huge cash prize. I don’t think any one ever did.

    Sorry PC, gotta ya beat.

Part of Jungle Warfare School and SERE (Surivival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape) school curricula is that there are many insects in the jungle that are full of protein, including the ubiquitous cockroach. Yes, they are eaten as part of the school.

There was a JWS instructor named “Dirty George the roach eater”, who enjoyed eating the little bastards for the hell of it. He would go into a bar and sit next to the waitress station. He would patiently bide his time waiting for a waitress to have a tray full of drinks. Then he would pull out a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach and bite it in two right in front of her. He got kicked out of a lot of bars that way.

You are correct as usual (I’m just such a suck-up). That’s funny–I just had a conversation with my uneducated, but very nice neighbor yesterday about how people eat insects all around the world. The most extreme I’ve had is cricket cookies. You couldn’t even tell they were crickets. The young teenagers were all into weirding people out, but I wanted to try them. They seemed disappointed. The local natural history museum had an entomology day. I was very disappointed that there were so few adults, but I got some cool insect t-shirts. (I refuse to act my age.)

Madagascar hissing cockroaches are so cool. I had one as a pet one time (I am a biologist and thus prone to weird things). I have never heard of someone biting them in half! You wouldn’t have a picture, would you? Boy, I bet that grossed people out. That must have been hilarious. I hope it wasn’t traumatic for you to eat them. On-line, you sound pretty hardy.

One of the better studies of him can be found in Red Carpet, The connection Between the Kremlin and America’s Most Powerful Businessmen - Armand Hammer, Averaell Hariman, Cyrus Eaton, David Rockefeller, Donald Kendall, by Joseph Finder, New York, 1983. Based on his Harvard dissertation.

when we moved into our cool old house in Santa Barbara, it was crawling with humongous amounts of cockroaches. landlady had it bombed, and they were still there. We went to a pet store and bought a set of house geckos and set them loose. they ate the roaches, and you almost never saw one. Every now and then, there would be one on top of a wall. One of the main reasons I view the Rott as my home is because of the people here……it’s not simply formal education, but an often hard earned wisdom, two different things entirely. I have learned so much here.
The wisest man I ever knew was this old black guy I worked with named Steve. A Korean war vet, raised in Louisiana back then, yet grew up without anger or rage, teaching his kids right from wrong, staying with his sick wife so she could die at home with her loved ones. This man stood tall in my book, possessing an innate wisdom not blinded by formal education…often a great weakness. He loved this country and Old Glory fiercely. And did this with a seventh grade education….
Me? I’ve had two years of college, big deal. Reading voraciously, as I do, a hungry mind seeking knowledge on my own. But many have spoken to me of my writing abilities and wisdom. So while nobody is good at everything, everybody is good at something. And I do like your posts, psychochick, if I ever have a question about plants………

O.K. since we’re trading creep out stories, here goes:

When I was all of about 12 years old. My friends and I were playing at a construction site next door to my house. We were looking for wood and anything to build a fort with. I was rooting through a pile of scrap wood when I turned over this board and saw the damndest biggest lumpiest (that’s the keyword right there)spider I ever saw, I dropped a piece of wood on it to kill it and when I lifted the wood off to see the damage, all of these baby spiders that made up the lumps on her back made a beeline up my legs. I panicked and ran around like an idiot and I did suffer a couple of bites but nothing serious. Since that time I’ve been shot at twice, have walked in on a liquor store robbery, and have been in a few other scary situations….but the thought of those damned spiders running up my legs still puts a shiver in me. It’s the single most terrifying moment of my life and I still have nightmares about it 41 years later.

    Another one for you:

A few years later my friends and I were innertubing down a creek when I saw this big snake slither down the bank and swim with it’s head and part of it’s body out of the water right at ME! No matter how hard I paddled or tried to turn, the damned thing kept turning with me and coming toward me. I finally made the other bank and ran line a streak of shit as far down the the bank as I could until I could get back in the water far away from that damned thing….that one’s nightmare fodder too even though I’m not at all scared of snakes.

    I survived SERE.

Then you are a far better man than me M. What branch?

you build your coal-producing fire, then immediatetly move 1/2 mile away….if no reponse in an hour, you can go back, add your game meat and cover with soil….dig up and eat at your leisure….

No smell of smoke on your body to give you awy then either. Smart. It’s amazing how you can smell stuff in the wild after awhile, ain’t it. I remember the most vivid example of that was when I was stationed on Guam. A squad of us grunts were acting as aggressors for the SeaBee battalion while it did it’s Ground Defense Force work up. We had been in the bush for about two weeks and they were rotating the SeaBees through on three day evolutions.

We would infil up close to their positions at night and you could smell the deoderant and soap about 50 yards away. On the second day it wasn’t as strong, but they had set up their field showers and were still clean so we could still smell em.

Leave it to the SeaBees. They get in the field and the first thing they do is build showers and kitchens. We CS’d their showers and cooking vats on a raid the first or second night.

Second or third night we snuck up on their sentries and got about 10 yards out when we heard a very sweet lil lady squeak “Who goes there?” We snuck up and jumped in her fighting position, took her and her buddies rifles and then jumped the M-60 pit next door. Did the same to them. The SeaBee CO was pissed when he had to bring a party into our camp to get his four M-14’s and one M-60 back.

Thanks. I wasn’t questioning your knowledge. It was just such a foreign concept to me. Postgraduate AND postmiliary training–boy, you must be one killer analyst. I drool over your language skills. I bet you read some pretty cool stuff. Can I ask what your thesis was on, or would that give away too much info? I won’t ask what school, but what type of department was your graduate and postgraduate training in? They do postdocs for history/PS research? I thought it was just in the sciences (that’s what I am–a failure with too few papers to get an academic position. but I work part-time and get to play with dogs, read politics, and garden–the advantages of being self-funded). I’m seriously thinking of when I get old of getting another PhD in Poly Sci, history, or cold war studies.

I was reading back on posts and realized that I had referred to someone as uneducated. I know I’m extremely paranoid, but I didn’t want to be misunderstood. Like I’ve said, I don’t think you need degrees to be smart and knowledgable. However this person is the nicest person in the world, but does not have much intellectual curiousity. That is what I meant by uneducated. Not knowing who Alberto Gonzalez was at the height of the Justice Dept scandals, for instance. (No I don’t want to fight over Gonazlez right now!) She avoids hard news, because she finds it depressing. I doubt she could name the 3 ethnic groups in Iraq. But I shouldn’t criticize her. There’s no law that you need to be into politics, although I think you should be somewhat educated as to what is going on to vote wisely. I told another neighbor that I was really into politics, and she thought I was insane! (There is some merit to that view.)

Bullshit. Of course you were questioning my knowledge. Just like you should. You’re an academic; that’s what the breed does. Questioning and challenging (and being challenged in return)has been how I have learned much of what I know. Its also how you unmask the poseurs.

If you’ve followed the links above, by now you know what I am. But in brief summation for those who enjoy their ADD, I got an undergrad degree in psychology and pre-med before dropping out of psychology grad school to enlist. Some years later I went back to study history because it interested me, and seemed important to understanding what was going on in the world. I did my MA on Stalin’s 1937 Generals’ purge. For my doctoral work I shifted over to medieval Russian history - the disseration topic was going to be the Economic History of the Golden Horde (the Mongol rulers in Russia) in the 14th century. And that is for what I studied Arabic. The dissertation remains incomplete, and will unto the ages of ages amen. For various reasons including terminal boredom. And also the fact that with the collapse of the USSR, old, adademic opportunities dissolved, and new ones appeared, allowing me to become a free-lance author on topics which actually interested me. Semper Gumby.
I’ll admit that my Arabic has been almost completely lost from lack of use, and both the Latin & German are pretty rusty. But I read some Russian almost every day.

Wow–I did read Decisions. Amazing. I could never be in that kind of situation without flipping out–I don’t know how you guys did it in Vietnam and how the people in Iraq do it. (I would get screened out of military service. Let’s discuss it no more.) By the way, I am one of the few on our street who is not critical of the disturbed alcoholic (even if he did call me a “smartass”–I have been nothing but polite.) He was in Vietnam–God knows what he went through. I don’t blame him for his drinking.

I really did believe you on the Armand Hammer thing. You seemed like you knew what you were talking about. I just mentioned it because it seemed so odd to me.

What’s with the ADD thing? (yes, I’m not adequately tough) It was obvious to me that you are knowledgable, but not what your degrees are in.

    Cheapshot
Of course, paranoia is an irrational fear! That’s kind of the definition! I’m just paranoid about what people think of me–I don’t think people are plotting against me or anything, and I”ve never thought about wearing the tinfoil. (Actually, it’s part of my condition, so don’t fault me too much.) I’m actually way too lax about my personal safety. I’m a night owl and didn’t have a fixed schedule for many years. I used to work all hours and then leave by myself. Ironically, any place I have lived that had a serial rapist active, the guy would strike in the morning–catch the women in the laundry room, etc. That does not mean it is safe for me to run around at all hours. Maybe I should carry mace. I don’t work as late any more.

Yes, I am aware that there are serious dangers for us. As I have posted before, I don’t think the Bush administration has done a lot to protect us domestically, and I’m glad the Democrats have passed legislation to strengthen port security. I’m impressed that the FBI has done such a good job of preventing domestic terror attacks. And I think the guys that took their video in of them shooting guns and yelling “Jihad” were total idiots (fortunately for us).

I don’t know what to think of your question about socialism. Rurik is the one with the strong psych and communism background, but a question of not being opposed to socialism seems like it’s directed to me. The people you guys think of socialists, I think of liberals, and to be honest, I don’t have a problem with them. I guess I have a different vision of how I want the country to be. I think we all want the best for the country (except for some disgruntled people).

I went to the Socialist Party website, and THOSE people I have a problem with. They want the workers to control the means of production. There have been a few cases where the employees have negotiated to take over and run a company, and I think that’s fine. I think it would be really bad for our country if all the workers swarmed and took over all the companies. I don’t think our government should nationalize industries, with one exception. That would be if they made some critical component needed for the war effort, and they were screwing up really badly. I do think that kind of socialism is evil, but I don’t see us headed in that direction. Communism is totally unacceptable.

Just as Crunchie said, that sort of story is all too common, often with unhappier results. And there are lots of other tales far worse. I never claim to be anything special - except for a talent for putting my experiences into words. So I write for those who can’t do so well.

How do people do it without flipping out? On starting out, none of us could do any better than you. But after protracted military training, including the harassment and toughening, you would do as well as any of us.
BTW, this mental toughening stood me well, after I returned to grad school. The pressure just never affected me the way it did some other students. I tried to explain to them, but somehow, as an abstract concept it never took.

The ADD comment was not directed at you. It was a mild dig at myself, because I know that my writing is usually long and anyone with even a hint of ADD is going to want an abridged edition.

Concerning Stalin & his generals. The particular purge in 1937 was before the war, and it destroyed the very generals who might have been able to defeat Hitler and end the war in 1941. Briefly, the issues appear to ahve been political differences, personality clashes, and lots and lots of paranoia. His postwar purges are even worse - anyone who had been captured was automatically guilty of treason, and those veterans who were too disabled by their wounds to work were tried for “parisitism” and shot.

I see remarkable parallels between the Bolsheviks and the Jihadis. And I hate (yes proudly hate) them both. And why I have so little tolerance for the real trolls on the internet or in politics.

Thanks for the post. About the military thing for me. You would never know this if you knew me personally. I’m bipolar, which is totally treatable. I’m fine in a stable environment. However, too much stress would put me over the edge. Plus, I’m mostly better, but I had a PTSD from a severely abusive childhood and can’t handle loud, sudden noises. I could work in the military as an analyst, but not for active combat. I have a lot of respect for the people that can. (by the way, whoever changed my name in the night to “psychochick off her meds”–not amused)

Thanks for the Stalin thing–what a psycho

The Jiihadis kill our troops and innocent civilians. What’s not to hate? I do think it’s really ironic that after 9/11, some of the Mullahs were really sympathetic to us, and then after the Iraq War started, were calling for jihad. Not that that makes it OK.

About the Bolsheviks, you seem really bright and knowledgable, but my God, how many Bolsheviks are out there? You said you are super right-wing, and I think you set the bar really low. Putin has been worrying me for a few years. Castro is still in power. I had hopes for Chavez, but it seems like he has become a dictator. There are some small communist cells in the US, but they don’t have much support. I actually used to get “Workers Vanguard” out of curiousity, but it pissed me off. I will check out the thing about Hillary’s first job, but I really find it far-fetched that she is an entry-level communist. I am probably a commie by your definition (but no one elses). I don’t want to insult you, but it could it be that you have studied them so much that see them lurking everywhere?

I thought I was so clever. A link had your name on it, and I thought “Aha! I can track the books he’s written.” Nothing psycho. Amazon didn’t pull up much, so I fired up the VPN and went to our university library. I didn’ find anything intellectual enough to be written by you. There was a book on historical houses. So now my hypothesis is that you used a pseudonym, which is smart. I just wanted to look up your books, but some people are probably more evil than I am.

Some asshelmet called Don Myers came on spewing that everyone organizing help for the troops is a Knuckledragging attention whore.

We know about Donna Myers, RR.  He’s been here before, and had his ass handed to him before it got unceremoniously dumped.

Thanks for the link. I was utterly horrified. What an evil, inhuman letter. It’s so extreme I almost wonder if it’s actually real. I guess the world really is full of assholes.

read some of the responses–a strong response is totally appropriate for something so evil–a little depressing since there are some people on the left who are decent people with strong intellects who are not trying to subvert the country and do wish the best for the troops. I’m sure I’ll get eviscerated for that statement. I’d prefer a bullet to the head–something quicker and less medieval.

PC: Check out Denita’s (a memory here but no better trollslayer EVER) sublime evisceration. This was pretty much a daily routine back then!

Thanks for the link. It was superbly written. It scares the shit out of me. I guess it was in reponse to that evil letter, so it was justified. If I got anything like that, it would really freak me out.

Something I think is harmless can send people into a froth. I was quite shocked to get a troll hat, for instance. I keep hoping for the remove-a-hat service, but it hasn’t come by. Actually, I’ve been treated really well, but you never know when things can go sour. I was furious about being accused of being a liar about my background, but I’ll survive.

Do you get fewer trolls these days? Harley pops in with comments, but I haven’t seen anything vicious in the short time I’ve been here.

Thanks–I hope so. I tried Googling every possible combination to find the post (I’m very obsessive, but not OCD). Think I’m too new to show up.. Found a PC on a Nine Inch Nails forum, which is great, since they are my favorite band. I remember what the post was about, but not which thread it was on. Maybe it willl come to me, and I can go back and check. It’s 4 AM, and I probably shouldn’t do it right now. If I stay away too long, the dog will steal my place in bed. I am queen of the household and should be treated as such! (being the only female)

I actually found it–t’s still there. I’m officially a useless piece of shit, although I’m glad that a bunch of people have said they don’t consider me a troll.

I do think there is too much intolerance on the left and an inclination to not consider alternate view points. However, the people here tend to be bright and mostly tolerate me. How many right wing blogs would I be allowed in? Here, I got a troll hat and some snarky comments–nothing evil. I would probably be sent packing in tears from most right-wing sites.

It’s pretty much a Management™ thing, hon.  One of us apparently, in a minor fit of pique, hit the button on you.  (Wasn’t me, I assure you - I was too busy with my blushing bride doing…uh…blushing bride stuff.  Yeah.  That’s it.  That’s the ticket.

Tell me where it is and I’ll go remove it.

UPDATE:  Never mind.  I just found it.  It’s gone.

    Psychochick,

Here is something I find amazing; you seem to have gotten genuinely and truly upset about a simple troll hat. I, and many others learned to live with epithets like \”baby killer\” racist, fascist. chauvinist pig, and lots more. For vets back then, and increasingly again now, the rhetoric can get nastier than a troll hat. Sad, but politics has been polarized in this country long beroe you were born, seemingly even before I was born - and I\’m older\’n you.

No, you won\’t find lots of my stuff on Amazon - a few books about Russian pilots -that\’s me. Since departing academe, I do what interests me. Some academic stuff is obscured because things in the past are not all on the internet. Googling will find some articles I\’ve translated, but again, you may not be impressed unless you share my interests.

And since you\’re a bioligist (I think I noted?), you might like to search \”Trofim Lysenko\”.

And now you seem to suggest in one place that I may not be a super rightwing as I say, and elsewhere suggest that I may see more commies than really are there. ;) But that is a topic for a different discussion. And yes, I do have friends in Russia who were/are real commies. While I hate communism, my feelings about individuals and countries can be entirely more complicated - that old trope about \”hate the sin and love the sinner\”. Actually, since my big gripe is with \”social engineers\”, that puts some of my right wing supposed, colleagues also on my target list.

This thread is winding down, so no more responses here. If you\’re interested in continuing this discussion, or if you want a link to my articles. etc., ask The Emperor to provide you with my personal email from my registration, or to send me yours. If you do contact me, just let me know its you, so I won\’t mistake you for one of the mass of daily viagra/lotto/inheritance spammers.
