As we’re sure you know, the cloture vote was defeated 53-46!

THIS, my friends and LCs, is when the Empire DANCES!

And, we might add, so does the humping robot.

We’ll be putting up the Roll of Shame™ naming the 46 that need to be out of a job at the earliest opportunity later.

For now, however, we’ve got some Happy Dancing™ to do. Nekkid, in the rain…

YEEE-HAWWWW!

And now, the Roll of Shame™: Make sure those scumbags defying the will of We The People will be hanging around Home Depots soon, begging for “the jobs that no Americans will do”.

UPDATE: Why not send the RINOs one of these, courtesy of our friend Lastango at the Daily Pundit? Better still, send them a whole pile of them, wrapped around tea bags and cinder blocks.

I find it funny that Jorge Voinovich (asswipe-Oh.) voted for cloture tuesday, went on Hannitys radio show wednesday, was pissing and moaning about he has been getting “threats” to his precious job and he wasn’t going to back down from voting for something he believed in and thought was right, voted against cloture today, spinless fuck. Now you people got all worked up over nothing about this bill..I’m telling you..geeze…

How could all you LC’s possibly think for one second that in the back halls of some legislative body things haven’t gotten tougher on people trying to get jobs?? Really people you flabbergast me!!

I’ll explain how I know this.

Recently I interviewed a person for a position here.
This person is qualified and more then willing to work.
This person has the following proof of ID.

    1. Military DD-214 with Honorable Discharge form the USMC
    2. Original copy of U.S. Birth Certificate
    3. U.S. Passport
    4. U.S. state issued drivers permit.
    5. U.S. based bank statements going back 9 years.

All of this identifing documentation is NOT enough suddenly for this person to start work, thier employemnt is on hold and they are loosing thousands of dollars in income because thier hiring process is being held up.

    Why You ask?

They were unable to provide the weenies in HR with thier original Social Security Card. An easily forged piece of paper with no security featurs what so ever.

    Matter o’ fact I actually copied mine just as an experiment, half way decent color laser printer, heavy bond paper, a little experimentaion with getting that duplexer working just so…VIOLA! I’ve got an exact copy of my SS Card..can’t tell one from the other..but I digress;

I bullshit you not, this is happening as I type this.. and when questioned about the utter absurdness of this “policy” the HR managers reply? “It’s a new rule being pushed from the GA Department of Labor”.

So you see kiddies YOUR government is working for you!! So be of good cheer!!

Or well maybe its against you…I guess it depends on whether you’re someone still dripping from a nice swim across the Rio Grade with a forged Social Security card in your pocket… or a United Staes verteran…/sarcasam

Please remember that there are more than this “aye” list that need to be kicked out of office. There’s a bunch of waffle eaters that changed their vote or worked hard to get the bill passed and only jumped ship to “nay” on this final cloture vote simply to save their ass. Let’s not let that little bit of sleaziness go unnoticed. Voinovich is an example; there are more.

No, it isn’t over. How is George going to explain this defeat to the Mexican government … He made some promises to them, didn’t he? And who knows what we’ll end up with in ‘08.

Maybe I’m just being cynical, but it looks to me like he was attempting to swap sovereignty for tighter security, easy trade, and a close-knit alliance with Mexico and Canada. He knew the concept of giving up some of our identity (and with it the privileges - no, Constitutional rights - reserved for American citizens) would go over like a turd in a punch bowl, so he was never completely honest about his intent or his plan to see it through.

Granted, it would probably be easier to catch terrorists if they were apprehended at point of entry on the North American continent instead of trying to filter them out at the Mexican or Canadian borders. But why can’t we have this anyway? Why do we have to sell the whole farm to get some cooperation from these asshats? (Unfortunately, this might have provided some sort of safety net in the event that liberals gain the presidency and our own border security is weakened further, and maybe that’s what Bush was thinking.)

Even if this bill had gone through, though, how can you implicitly trust another country to enforce security and guard your backside? I have no problem with the idea of a unified security agreement. We all face a common threat. However, just because we add another layer of security doesn’t mean we should let down our guard in other areas. Yeah, long borders are a pain to surveille, but that is what we have to do, unless we want to take extreme measures - like this ill-conceived amnesty bill.

Even with an agreement in concrete, I don’t believe Mexico is a reliable ally. I’m not sure that annexing it would be any less trouble than what Bush is trying to do now. The difference is, it would be unpalatable to the Mexicans rather than us! Their cultural identity would be on the defensive, rather than ours. And, again, THEIR southern border is a lot more manageable.

    Aaaaarrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!

My state senators don’t get it. Now Casey I can excuse, somewhat, because he’s new and probably going with the flow, but what is Spector’s blasted excuse. Moron! Guess who’s in my sights when he comes up for reelection in 2010? Spector, that’s who!!!!!

I have two total idiots for senators, too. I never voted for either one of them, but thanks to the leeches in the People’s Republic of Ill-Annoy(illegal alien or otherwise), they’re here to stay. For a long time.

I was rather surprised to see that both my Senators were on the right side, though Burr had to be flipped. Good on them, with a caution on Burr.

Hopefully this counts toward penance for putting Silky Pony in the Senate.
