(Via LC & IB Bill Quick)

WASHINGTON (AP) - The homeland security chief on Sunday scolded the Senate for failing to pass an immigration bill and said it will be difficult for the government to crack down on illegal workers.

“We’re going to continue to enforce the law. It’s going to be tough,” Michael Chertoff said. “We don’t really have the ability to enforce the law with respect to illegal work in this country in a way that’s truly effective.”

Seems to most reasonable people that now would be a good time for you to call for more effective laws dealing with enforcement then, wouldn’t it? I would be, if you’d ever had the slightest intention of enforcing the laws to begin with which, as proven by your refusal to enforce the laws already on the books, you obviously don’t.

Jerkoff Translation: “I refuse to do my job unless you pass a comprehensive amnesty making it unnecessary for me to do my job.”

Good luck in the private sector with that attitude, you chrome domed clusterfuck of a useless bureaucrappic fraud. You’ll have ever so much fun there once your bony arse is unceremoniously kicked out the door on January 21st, 2009.

Coincidentally, LC & IB Rurik lit upon a detail about Jerkoff’s last name that we’re now kicking ourself for not picking up on before. That’s what we get for not paying attention unless something is actually written in Cyrillic to tip us off.

How very, very appropriate. He even looks the part.

Now that Dubya’s pet bill has been rejected by Senate, you can bet your ass he’s going to retort by getting even more lax on border security.
Whether you want those welfare rats over your border or not, they’re coming, and your gov’t will be totally ignoring your pleas. The last person I’d like to be now is a Border Patrol Agent - not only are you not allowed to do your job, you’re going to be punished if you do.
Sadly, the only way to even make a noise and get results is if you personally boycott any businesses owned by Mexican immigrants, be they legal or not.
If you know of a contractor that picks up some of these stinky animals to do day labor for $2 an hour, then don’t hire him. Racism will be the only thing that will get results, and the hispanic community deserves every ‘unfair’ situation it gets. I hate to sound evil/defeatist, but honestly - the government doesn’t care, the average consumer doesn’t care, the illegals certainly don’t care, the opportunistic parasite contractors don’t care, and the hispanic community most disgustingly cares only about bringing the rest of the bowels of Mexico into the economy. When you’re on welfare or in government, the economy means nothing to your way of life.

Thank you Sire for the credit.

And no tacos, no burritos, no enchiladas. I will be getting my hot pepper fixes from honest anti-commie Vietnamese places.

And no Corona, or dos Equis. Drink American beer if you can find one that didn’t back the Beaner rally in May.

    Wil,

I’m lucky to have an East European Deli & Liquor near me, Okocim (sp?) is one name I remember. But ya takes what ya gets. Russian beer is also good, the Baltika line is good but they are politically tainted right now. Sort of the semi-offical beer of Russia. Bochkarev and Okhota and Doktor Dizel are much better, but being independent, they’re much harder to find, and are under pressure by “the competent authorities“. Arsenalnoye often seems to get stinky. Don’t wait for the new Polonium-flavored beer. Its rumored to have a killer head.
I should also mention that beers from Lativa, Lithuania & Estonia are very good too, when they can be found, and deserve your support. So many decent beers, there’s no reason to waste our livers on Axis of Weasel-beers, beaner-beers, or Enabler-brau.

I’m not hostile about enforcing immigration laws–I’m hostile about attitudes toward the US Hispanic CITIZENS.

” the hispanic community deserves every ‘unfair’ situation it gets”

Do you actually know anybody in the Hispanic community? There are the descendants of the original settlers of much of the west, who predate my family’s arrival in this country and are generally very respectable citizens. And as for the legal immigrants, why would people who had to wait years to get into the country legally be thrilled to have people come waltzing in to work for next to nothing? I don’t know why everything comes down to welfare–I guess because it’s a cheap and easy stereotype. The Hispanics I know work pretty damn hard, and I used to live in the barrio. Many people work multiple jobs to survive. Kind of like normal Americans. It doesn’t help the legal Hispanics to have wages driven down, either. And it certainly doesn’t help the cost of living in Cal. to have that many more people looking for housing, which is pretty scarce and threfore becomes more pricey in some areas. Plus, I would guess that they could do without the anti-Hispanic sentiments that materialize because of the concern over illegal aliens from Mexico. Why in God’s name would they want swarms of illegal aliens in this country? It’s not in their interest.

I’m half German–the last thing I would want is swarms of Germans everywhere. (Tourism is fine.)

Isn’t it possible to compartmentalize views about illegal aliens vs. the established (legal) Hispanic communities in the US?

Gee, you want to boycott Mexican restaurants. Why not boycott office buildings, since they are frequently cleaned by illegal aliens? You should also boycott meat, since the meatpacking plants are frequently staffed by illegal aliens. Definitely cut back on the vegetables, especially broccoli–that seems to be the vegetable most frequently picked by them out here, which is ashame, since it shows such great promise in reducing cancer risk.

PS. I’ve been working on this for an hour, so there might be relevant posts I should have commented on that I have not seen.

Jerkoff Translation: “I refuse to do my job unless you pass a comprehensive amnesty making it unnecessary for me to do my job.”

HA! That reminds me of a sketch that the show He-Haw had done. A guy was playing a senator doing a campaign speech in the middle of this rural town.At the end of the speech, the senator did some questions and answers. A person asked him about getting a government job.

    A man said ” I needs a job, Senator!”

The Senator said “Sure, I can help you get a job sir!”

The Man then said ” Oh really, thats sure is great! My Nephew wuz askin for a job from the gub’ment. He applied a little while ago”

The Senator replied “Outstanding good man, what does your nephew do for a living.”

The man said “I reckon Nothin!”

Senator said “Then he got the Job!”

When it comes to Jerkoff and the rest of the Toilet in DC….that little sketch sums it up.

The Hispanics I know work pretty damn hard, and I used to live in the barrio. Many people work multiple jobs to survive. Kind of like normal Americans. It doesn’t help the legal Hispanics to have wages driven down, either. And it certainly doesn’t help the cost of living in Cal.

I too used to live in the barrio, 1st and Glendale in downtown L.A.. I worked with naturalized Americans of Hispanic origin (Mexicans), our entire work force, and they hated the “wetbacks” that drove down the wages of their brothers, cousins, ect.. (Not my company, I worked on the same crappy wage scale as they did).

As far as the cost of living, isn’t it ironic that with the more we use “undocumented” labor to fill those non-American-doable jobs the more the cost of everything still seems to go up?

    And one more observation:

It doesn’t help the legal Hispanics to have wages driven down, either.

Do you honestly believe that it’s only “their” wages that are being driven down?

I trust that the company I work for is looking out for me as much as I’d close my eyes to cross a four lane street.

My point was suppose to be that because they’ll work for slave wages because it’s a hell of a lot better than they’ll ever hope to make (in resource rich, but won’t use it) Mexico, it doesn’t drag even your salary down?

Even with your degree and experience, with the “global community”, everything can be sold for a cheaper price. Of course there is no allegiance to the company, but you can be replaced cheaper, and that guy cheaper.

This attitude is already (IMHO) coming back to bite these guys on the butt.

I’m a capitalist, but I think the industry leaders have to look at more than what they make today, and think about who they plan on selling their products to next year.

My wife got laid off in January, so I probably won’t be spending to much come Christmas. That iPhone that is sitting on the shelf unsold, sorry, the Cheeze’n'Mac took preference.

    SoCal
God, I’m sorry your wife got laid off. I know how expensive it is to live out here.

I understood your point about the slave wages. I keep hearing that it’s devastating for construction work. I could be wrong, but I thought that’s how a lot of people started out and got their foot on the ladder.

Actually, for me, the issue isn’t really with salaries. It’s that funding is dependent on government research grants, and they are very difficult to get, which is more of a congressional issue.

You couldn’t really outsource our research. You need all sorts of strange equipment. (very mad scientist–how fitting) Fortunately, I would be hard to replace–unusual skills. There are some foreign scientists, but not enough to depress wages. (actually, that’s probably true for other disciplines as well)

I don’t know about biotech companies–they might have more foreign scientists. They have to come in legally, though, and that can be difficult. I think it would be really hard to work in science if you were illegal–way too much paperwork involved.

Actually, now that you mention it, people with no money wouldn’t be very useful for consuming companies’ products. The country needs for people to be buying things for capitalism to chug along.

    psychochick,
From my limited knowledge of this, for the hi tech companies when they can’t find americans with the qualifications to do the job they can hire overseas, they have to get H1B visas to be legal. It was reported somewhere a few weeks back the some of these companies where setting qualifications that americans couldn’t meet then asking for the H1B visas which they could then hire cheaper. Microsoft and Novell where a couple of them named. So this was ultimatlely doing the same thing that the illeagals are doing to entry level jobs. Making them lower wages than what Americans would ask. So basically wages across the board in all areas are being depressed/lowered, except of course the company officers. Yet they still have price hikes because it is costing them more to produce whatever product. Excuse me? There is something decidedly rotten in the United States.

“We’re going to continue to enforce the law. It’s going to be tough,” Michael Chertoff said. “We don’t really have the ability to enforce the law with respect to illegal work in this country in a way that’s truly effective.”

I think there were some editing errors in that, so I took the liberty of fixing them:

We’re going to continue to enforce the law where it can be interpreted to put our own people in jail. We don’t really have the will to enforce the law with respect to illegal work in this country in a way that will appease our globalist corporate backers.

So sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up you plebians, we know best.

    Anyone got that rope handy?
