The moral giants and impeccably credentialed journaljizzmers at The New People’s Stalinist Republic are now trolling threads, using the ID of the whistleblower they fired for telling the truth to get back at the meanies that exposed them for the pitiful, pathetic, douchebag liars that they are.

No wonder their circulation is down 40% since 2000.

It is, however, quite puzzling how they managed to find retards sufficiently daft to subscribe to the remaining 60%.

No, wait, it isn’t. People still voted for John Fuckface Kerry, after all.

Nicely played, shitheads.

So is Franklin Foerball going to comment on that, or is he too busy elevating the douchebag boning his editor to sainthood?

That was a rhetorical question, by the way.

UPDATE: Looks like Boochump’s entry fuck, Elspeth Reeve, may have to wait for a while before she has her bun stuffed again. From a previous entry on his old blog:

We finally got official dates on Iraq deployment: May 15 - Our Bradleys get shipped to Kuwaite June 11- Advanced Units move in June 28 - Bravo Team, second squad, first platoon, Alpha Company, first battalion, 18th brigade, first infantry division (the breakdown of who I belong to) deploys. Were probably going to sit in Kuwaite for some unknown amount of time, and then move into Baghdad…

Now, I don’t know how the kinder, gentler U.S. Army handles OPSEC violations like that, but I do know that if I had been publishing detailed deployment and roster information like that overseas, I’d still be rattling bars in a military prison today.

Oh, and for fuck’s sake, Boochamp: If you’re such an enormous intellect and probably the greatest poet alive today (as you like to think), could you at the very fucking least learn how to spell Kuwait correctly? It’s only got fucking two syllables, Mr. “Pity Fuck TNR Writer.”

    Dr. Cannibal
Hey, that rhymes with Hannibal (god I’m an idiot for never catching that)

“People who are intellectually corrupt enough to create alternate realities to support a political ideology”

There are alternate realities, because people believe different things to be true, not because they contort themselves to create a new reality. (well, maybe some do–you should read the Aryan Nations theological contortions to prove that Jesus was not a Jew–guaranteed for a splitting headache.)

    1) Swift boat ads
    a) a highly effective piece of propaganda shown to be lies that cost Kerry the election
    b) campaign ads that showed the truth of what a fraud Kerry was

    2) our presence in Iraq has been creating terrorists
    a) ridicule and Zarqawi was there (hiding) [I may be underestimating the argument here]–I welcome corrections
    b) 90% of the Al Queda terrorists in Iraq joined AQ since the start of the war
(according to Edward Gistaro, the nation’s top analyst for transnational threats)

    3) having guns in the household
    a) greatly enhance your chance of survival by being able to protect yourself or a family member
    b) if used, are much more likely to be used against a family member than a criminal

These are 3 of many examples that exist in different polarizing realities. In these cases, I don’t think people are dissembling. Everybody honestly believes their point of view. I don’t mean to generate arguments about the topics–just that there are 2 different points of view that people passionately believe.

There are so many more, but I need to do things around the house, and I need to get mauled as I prepare the dog for a walk. I’ve never seen a dog that leapt so much.

If you ask me a date for deployment wouldn’t be beyond what they would get told, and if he is in the motorpool, wouldn’t they be informed as to when they have to have their tracks ready for shipment? Not to mention where the tracks would end up at the end of the trip?

He used false evidence to try and sway the election. The national guard papers thing. Funny thing is, he probably did believe it was the real deal, but didn’t want to check up on it to make sure.

The funny thing about this whole story was that the premise in that ‘fake evidence’ couldn’t be disproved. While everyone focused on the genesis of the documentation, they all ignored the fact that Bush was AWOL during much of his military service.

So yes, the documents were fake, but the best way to negate a negative story is to tell it on faked evidence — a typical Rovian tactic. (he has priors for doing things like this ya know…)

There are alternate realities, because people believe different things to be true, not because they contort themselves to create a new reality.

    PC,

I would not call these alternate realities, but alternate beliefs. In the case of the TNR follies, the story is complete fiction. It is objectively a pack of lies generated to denegrate our military. It is propaganda directed against the United States.

TNR - Nobody should be terribly surprised by their behavior. People who are intellectually corrupt enough to create alternate realities to support a political ideology will engage in all manner of malfeasance to validate or defend it.

Some things are true in general, others only in context, such as the above quote. This is not a subjective argument of whether Buddhism or Christianity is more valid. We have facts in the above instance.

    1) The Swiftboat ads are objectively fact checkable for anyone with the inclination. Kerry is a douchebag and a lying shitbird. Xmas in Cambodia? Winter Soldier? “Unfit for Command” killed Kerry politically, thank God.

    2) Our presence in Iraq has been creating terrorists.

No! Say it’s not true! Our fighting in WWII created Nazi and Japanese soldiers. It made the USSR a super power. Korea created Chicom soldiers. Vietnam created NVA and VC soldiers. This is the way of war.

Psychochick, I am not trying to give you a hard time, but there is an important difference between objective and subjective reality, between reality and belief. Make careful note. You will see this material again!

The burden of proof is on the accuser, not the accused.

Not if you are running for president and campaigning as a military man.

There were serious questions. Instead of getting answers, we got distractions.

You’ve heard the saying, “can’t see the forest through the trees”?

If you label each one of these individual things as a single tree, we are smack-dab in the middle of a farkin’ forest right now.

You might try to explain a few of these things away, but when you start seeing patterns — like a good many of us have — then you know that there is something there.

So Rove created the bullshit documents, hypnotized Dan Rather into thinking they were real and then escaped through the Stargate undetected. Wow.

Did he personally create them? Probably not. Did he direct someone else to do it? It is possible, and it is his character to do something like this.

I know that you are probably not going to like the following source, but it does a fairly good job of chronicling some of his prior crap in one place. (I could list numerous, more mainstream sources, but you get the same thing here in one place)

    Exposing Karl Rove

    […]

Since his formative political years when he tried to paint World War II B-24 pilot and hero George McGovern as a left-wing peacenik through his mid-level career as a planter of disinformation in the media on behalf of Texas and national GOP candidates to his current role as Dubya’s “Svengali,” Rove has practiced the same style of slash and burn politics as did his Nixonian mentor Segretti. Many of us remember the Lincolnesque Senator Ed Muskie breaking down in tears during the 1972 campaign over Segretti-planted false stories in a New Hampshire newspaper that accused Mrs. Muskie of being a heavy smoker, drinker, and cusser and accused Muskie of uttering a slur in describing New Hampshire’s French Canadian population. Rove’s hero also forged letters on fake Muskie campaign letterhead, disrupted rallies and fundraising dinners, and spread false stories about the sex lives of candidates. Segretti’s brush also smeared George McGovern, George Wallace, Shirley Chisholm, and McGovern’s first vice presidential choice, Senator Tom Eagleton. Segretti of course did not go on to a high-level White House job — he was sentenced to six months in federal prison for distributing illegal campaign material.

Like I said, you probably don’t like the source, but the facts contained are easily referenced in other independent documents.

The point is, it is not too far fetched to consider that Rove or one of his operatives had a major part in this story.

Consider that the rumors dealing with Bush’s military service have been out there for a long time, and it is coming up to the 2004 re-election campaign where unlike election 2000, this time a military history is an important thing.

Bush is running against a decorated Vietnam vet. Bush doesn’t have anything in his military record to match that — in fact, there is an entire block of time Bush cannot account for, and the opposition is liable to exploit that.

    So what do you do?

    Political Ju-Jitsu.

Give the opposition the story, but do it in such a way that it embarrasses them. Maybe you are aware of the memos and documents, because you have the lost personnel file. So you recreate the documents and change a few minor items, but you make it in such a way that it can easily be identified as a fake by anyone miles away from the actual document.

You create it on a computer that didn’t exist at the time.

You don’t have to smoke bananas to do something like this. You just have to be able to think outside of the box.

Rove certainly thinks outside of the box, but most of you don’t. Most of you look at something but you just don’t see it. It is how David Copperfield can get away with his illusions all the time. You want to believe in your eyes and ears — especially if it is something that tends to agree with your world view.

This is the way of war.

Then stop creating war — at least wars that are sure to cause more problems than solve. Especially wars that are started or prosecuted solely for the benefit and behest of multi-national corportations.

    DJ,

You have had too many bananas.

Bush is running against a decorated Vietnam vet. Bush doesn’t have anything in his military record to match that — in fact, there is an entire block of time Bush cannot account for, and the opposition is liable to exploit that.

If you are speaking of John Fuckface Kerry, the only place he is a hero is Hanoi. Other than that, he is a coward, a liar, and a traitor.

Oh, man, I’m late! Gotta get back to area 51 and cook up some more fake but accurate documents to dump on the Donks. I’m going to buy lots of stock is Wars R Us, the international war cartel. Rove, you magnificent bastard, fly the skull and crossbones. DJ, quit drinking the bongwater.

If Rove pulled off what you say he did and it kept Kerry out of the White House then I take back most of what I’ve said about him. Ok, some of what I’ve said. You obviously didn’t drill alone. Was there anybody there who remembers you when you drilled? Can you prove you showed up?

I’m guessing there was, and that you can prove it.

On the other hand, Bush hasn’t been able to come up with any proof he was there.

There has been a reward out there for the past three years for anyone who can come forward and say that they served or even remembered Bush serving between May 1972 and May 1973 in Alabama. No one has come forward.

Then there is the fact that nobody has seen:

    • Any pages from Bush’s flight log
    • Records from the Flight Inquiry Board convened after Bush was suspended as a pilot
    • Any evidence of Bush’s reclassification into another AFSC after suspension as a pilot
    • Any photos of George Bush in a military uniform after 1972
    • Anything at all from any Alabama unit with Bush’s name on it
    • Any copies of form 44a from the Alabama National Guard certifying attendance
    • Air Force Form 142 (Aviation Service Audit Worksheet)
    • Anything proving service (not just receipt of pay) by Bush between May 1972 and May 1973?

What better way to minimize that but by trashing Kerry’s service?

Still, Kerry went to Vietnam. He could have gotten out of it like Bush, Cheney, et al. He went, which Bush can’t say he did.

I don’t buy the claims of the Swift Boaties. They were solely funded by rich Republican contributors, and many of the claimants of the group had to do contortions to get around what they previously claimed. There are too many inconsistencies in their story for it to be true.

I didn’t like Kerry either, but I am not going to question his service, or the commanding officers that put him in for the medals at that time.

Not if you are running for president and campaigning as a military man.

That’s what we kept trying to tell John Hanoi Kerry, but would he listen? Oh no, he just kept on yakking about his heroics until somebody decided to do a bit of research on him.

You might try to explain a few of these things away, but when you start seeing patterns — like a good many of us have — then you know that there is something there.

The neo-nazis have been doing that for going on 60 years now and no, no matter how many publications and “inquiring minds want to know” they push out, I still don’t believe that 6 million Jews didn’t really die and that it’s all a hoax. Sometimes a lie is just a lie, you know.

Did he personally create them? Probably not. Did he direct someone else to do it? It is possible, and it is his character to do something like this.

It’s also possible, crazy though it sounds, that a deranged lunatic who’d had it in for Bush since G-d knows when made it all up and that Rather, seeing a story that was “too good to check”, threw himself at it like Bill Clinton at a high school cheerleading squad. I know, Occam’s Razor and all that.

Personally, I prefer to think that it was a time traveler, knowing how badly Bush fucked up the war and betrayed the conservative movement, decided to go back and try to make him lose the election. Hey, it might be a future version of me!

    Dammit, it’s plausible!

You don’t have to smoke bananas to do something like this.

No, but you do have to have access to some seriously heavy shit to believe in it.

Most of you look at something but you just don’t see it. It is how David Copperfield can get away with his illusions all the time. You want to believe in your eyes and ears — especially if it is something that tends to agree with your world view.

Well, there are a lot of unanswered questions about 9/11, but does that mean it was a hoax or a eeeevil plot by our government? No, of course not. But I do think there was a lot of incompetence and maybe even some deliberate indifference leading up to 9/11.

Conspiracy theories have a tendency to take on a life of their own if questions aren’t given difinative answers right away.

The ‘magic bullet’ theory of the Warren Report is a prime example of how conspiracies can get out of hand. Sometimes the offical explanation conflicts with common sense or the evidence surrounding it.

    Do tell. :em99:

Tillman and Chomsky would have exposed THE TRUTH which would have destroyed the illigitimit BushCo, Rove, Cheney Halliburtin Empire!

    Art Bell is still around?

Yes, there was a coverup involved with the fragging of Tillman, but I suspect that fragging was more of a personal nature than some larger conspiracy of “exposing the eeevil Bush Empire”.

Tillman probably pissed someone off and got killed. Then a coverup because something like this would be embarrassing all the way up the chain. (even Bush claimed Executive Priviledge on this, so you know it goes up to the top of the chain.)

    But a Tillman Expose?

Tillman is rumored to have listed Chomsky as one of his favorite writers. He was against the war in Iraq — he felt it was illegal — but he supported a war on the terrorists that attacked us on 9/11. He didn’t see Iraq as part of that fight.

When he was killed in Afghanistan, the Abu Ghraib scandal was about to hit the press and the administration needed a public relations boost: “War hero and football star dies fighting terrorists” A nationally televised funeral, and stories of his bravery. For a short time, he was the face of our military.

Then the truth came out that he died of “friendly fire”. But even that was mostly redacted in the reports. Medical examiners had problems with the “official reports” and were suspicious of the closely grouped head wounds apparently fired from ten yards away. In other words, the wounds didn’t match the offical story — which was actually the second official story, the first being the attempted coverup of friendly fire.

There was supposed to be a meeting between Chomsky and Tillman after he returned, and it was very likely that the “Tillman hero prop” of the adminstration might actually prove embarrassing after that meeting, but I doubt seriously that was the reason for his death.

Yep, ‘zat so, Spats. Read it and weep.

Yeah, I did.  And I saw nothing referring to Alabama in any part of the document.

In fact, this “memo” of yours is dated “31 Jul 1972″.  According to the NY Newsday  timeline, Bush’s transfer was approved in September of that year.  Not sure what the libtard calendar looks like, but here in The Real World™, September pretty much always comes after  July.

    Try again, Dave.

The Department of the Air Force is an “inferior, heavily biased, leftist retard source”?

    Do tell.

‘Scuse me, dumbass, but I do believe you used Wikipedia for your original cite.

In any case, all you’ve ever done is post the front page to “The Department of the Air Force”, as I pointed out here - so you still haven’t proven shit, old man.

Thus, you can take your “read it and weep” bullshit, turn it sideways and shove it up your leftist candy-ass.

9921 was the Alabama Air Reserve Squadron.

Maybe you should read the Wiki a bit closer:

More than a month after the ARPC rejected Bush’s transfer request, on September 5, 1972, Bush requested permission to “perform equivalent duty” at the 187th Tactical Recon Group in Alabama “for the months of September, October, and November.” He quickly received approval to do so, and was told to report to Lt. Col. William Turnipseed, the base commander, for drills on October 7 and 8, and November 4 and 5 (the September drill dates of the unit had already passed). Bush’s grandfather, former U.S. Senator Prescott Bush, died of cancer on October 8th, and Bush served as a pallbearer at the funeral in Greenwich, Connecticut. Turnipseed has said that he could not recall whether Bush reported on those occasions.[26] Bush’s records do not list any service on those dates, but they do show that he was paid for service on October 28 and 29, a weekend; on November 11 and 12, also a weekend; and November 14 and 15, a Tuesday and Wednesday.[27] The location of the service and the duties performed are not described in any released records.

Yes, because it had a pretty good list of footnoted citations, unlike your Newsday article.

Actually, I never got back to your comment in that thread because I got distracted. But now that I’ve read it….

Fine.  You still  haven’t proven he was AWOL.

Maybe you should read the Wiki a bit closer:

And maybe I should stick with sources that don’t  suffer from Bush Derangement Syndrome™, hm?

Oh, like The Washington Compost  and The AWOL Project?  The absolute epitomes  of Truth, Justice and the American Way™, is that right, Dave?

Keep trying, Dave.  Even stopped clocks are right twice a day, y’know.

Comrade Allyn adds the mandatory left poltical angle to Pat Tilman’s death, which demeans the man, his service, and his sacrifice, as well as the nation he fought and died for. Don’t dip Tilman in your kook politics, Dave, because you do not have a clue what you are talking about. Black Five does.

Even these experienced soldiers are speculating and admit it, but at least they have read the Army testimony. The Army did sadly cover up the facts. No the order didn’t come from Rove, or the Whitehouse - sorry moonbats. Tilman’s politics have nothing to do with his death. The Army cover up will be sorted out and the facts emerge
