“Listen, you silly taxpayers, we’re here to look pretty and march up and down the parade ground in our snazzy looking uniforms. What the fuck do you think we are, civil servants or something?

Border Patrol agents dont have the responsibility of apprehending illegal immigrants, Carlos X. Carrillo, chief patrol agent for the Laredo sector, said at a town hall meeting Wednesday.”The Border Patrol is not equipped to stop illegal immigrants,” Carrillo said, noting that illegal narcotics are also not on the agents priority list.

“The Border Patrol mission is not to do any of those things,” he emphasized.

Oh, I get it: The Border Patrol’s job is to patrol the border. Anything beyond that is just too much hard work. You know, all that silly crap about protecting the borders and making sure that they aren’t violated.

It’s pretty obvious that somebody is in dire need of re-assignment to something more in keeping with his severely limited abilities. Like, say, assistant trainee railroad track shit-scraper without benefits. Oh, but he’s not saying that they’re not supposed to do anything at all, you know:

The Border Patrols mission is to keep the country safe from terrorist and terrorist weapons, he said. Carrillo added that when and if terrorists come into the country, the agents will be ready.

Well, we damn well better hope that the wily terrorists make sure to wear their big “I’m a Terrorist, Not Just Another Illegal Immigrant” signs so the poor dumbfucks with the Border Patrol know who to stop and who to let right through. I mean, otherwise the overpaid, underworked, incompetent retards might have to actually investigate individuals entering the country illegally and, as he just told us, that just isn’t the job of the Border Patrol. Maybe it’s the job of the Boy Scouts or the Audubon Society.

Carrillo said the Carrizo cane along the river is an environmental challenge. He said that before enforcing any type of fence, the Carrizo canes need to be addressed, allowing agents to patrol and spot traffic in the river.

What would be the point? After all, if all you’re supposed to be doing is spotting illegals entering the country, then who cares?

Mayor Raul Salinas spoke to the audience about using taxpayer money to build a fence.

“I want a secure border, but I want more common sense,” Salinas said, adding that the fence would affect relations with Mexico.

Sorry, Senor Salinas, but those relations have already been severely affected by Mexico using us as a dumping ground for about 12-20 million of their undesirables, so pardon me for not giving a rodent’s rectum about hurting their widdle feewings.

A concerned citizen, who lives on property about 34 miles out of Laredo on Interstate 35, said she has seen from 20 to 50 illegal immigrants daily. She said agents have addressed the situation before, but they can only do so much and the situation continues.

Carrillo responded that the Border Patrol will look into the issue.

And that, apparently, is all that they’re going to do if Carrillo has a say in it. After all, actual enforcement isn’t the Border Patrol’s job. He just told us that.

Useless fucking morons.

Obligatory disclaimer for the benefit of the hard-of-reading: If you’re one of the Border Patrol agents who hasn’t heard about this non-enforcement policy, somebody who is working his arse off in the searing sun trying to actually do the job that we taxpayers expect you to do, YOU’RE NOT THE TARGET OF THIS RANT. If the shoe doesn’t fit, don’t wear it. Go kick Carrillo’s arse for making you all look stupid and lazy instead, it would be a much better use of your time and would be much appreciated by the rest of us. And if you find a tree and a nice length of rope while you’re busy with the arse-kicking… Well, you know what to use that for, don’t you?

Public servants seem to be damned lacking in the servant part of their job description these days.

All it takes is one fucktard in the wrong place to smear the reputation of their entire service….

Can you imagine if the Coast Guard started stating that their bailwick didn’t include actually finding missing folks, just looking for them? Or if the FAA only investigated problems, not enforced the solutions?

Your tax dollars at work. Or else.

Carrillo said the Carrizo cane along the river is an environmental challenge. He said that before enforcing any type of fence, the Carrizo canes need to be addressed, allowing agents to patrol and spot traffic in the river.

And so it starts. As soon as the fence starts to actually get the materials in the area needed to assemble it, the foot-dragging switches from Congress to the lower executive branch.

I don’t know what or who Carrizo is, but I do know the solution involves a chainsaw.

No, don’t tell me who or what it is; just get the chainsaw, remove the problem, and build the fence.

On the other hand, you can’t accuse the man of lying:

”The Border Patrol is not equipped to stop illegal immigrants,” Carrillo said.

What has the good doctor been telling you all along: Bureaucracies only serve the bureaucracy. What exactly did the Folger’s Patrol… I mean Border Patrol do BEFORE 9/11? BEFORE the modern age of Terrorism? If you answered “stopping illegal crossings of our border,” you’d be wrong! The primary job was (and is) to support and perpetuate the bureaucracy with the maximal amount of intake (taxpayer cash) and the minimal amount of output (as close to nothing as possible). You want to get the Folger’s Patrol off its’ ass? Embarrass it. Threaten its’ funding. Make it look irrelevant. You do that and it’s all asses and elbows… that is, until you look away again.

The Border Patrol is not equipped to stop illegal immigrants,”

That is very close to something I heard from a Sheriff the other a few months ago:

“Police are not out there to prevent crime, they are there to arrest criminals after the crime is committed”

Close, but not quite. I think I am hearing Carlos X. Carrillo say that his department is not EQUIPPED to stop illegals, not that it wouldn’t if it was properly equipped and manned to do so.

Both the Sheriff I talked to a few months ago and Carlos X. Carrillo seem to be falling back on a common excuse: inadequate funding, and lack of manpower.

In the case of the border patrol, I am sure that the focus IS on terrorists. It is the focus set by the Bush administration, where every terrorist in the world is trying to follow someone back into this country so that they can blow us up.

Bush is using the fear of terrorists in an attempt to distract you and everyone else from him having no real intention of preventing illegal aliens from entering the country. Big Business and the US Chamber of Commerce don’t want to stem the flow of cheap illegal labor from crossing the border.

Considering those of us that actually think, we believe stopping illegal aliens and the chances of terrorism via that route are one and the same. If Noodle-Spine is playing this as a distraction, he’s more of an idiot than we think.

Certain businesses do like their slave labor, and the Drooling Leftards see them as voters for life with every possible nanny-state benefit bestowed upon them, immediately after setting foot on US soil.

That would definitely be the case in Laredo–border could hardly get more porous. The area has been so completely overrun by Mexicans that it is effectively under Mexican mob rule. Local judges allow attorneys and litigants to forego normal formalities of attire in summer, if they wear Mexican wedding shirts (actually a pretty decent idea, if it wasn’t those fuggly shirts, though you know the point is to feather some Mexi shirt maker’s nest). The Judges, juries, and Court staff are more fluent in Spanish than English and if you’re an Anglo lawyer “from up north,” they make it clear it’s gonna cost you several $100k more than a local to get out of some Mexican scum’s BS case. I defended a complete fraud failure to pay worker’s comp case (bad damages and penalties, if an employer does that in Tex.–this one didn’t–he treated the guy like family and got shat on) in which the only way the fraud could file in Laredo was by giving himself a Laredo, not Nuevo Laredo, address. I found the address on my first visit–it was a storefront mail drop right on the town square. Even then, the Judge just managed to lose the Motion to Dismiss, so it finally became cheaper to pay to get out, rather than get shafted. Laredo. The mere sound still conjures up excellent fajitas, nice big breakfasts with lots of spicy salsa for the eggs and a sharp pain in the butt. That Border Patrol Rat is just making sure his neck stays out of a noose; thanks especially to Bush I for NAFTA and this–they go together like salsa and taquitos.

we believe stopping illegal aliens and the chances of terrorism via that route are one and the same.

Some will even go as far as to equate the two.

Illegal entry into this country has been going on as long as there has been a boundary. Big surprise there. Sure, terrorists can come in across the Southern border, just as they can come across from Canada, or even down from Alaska. The 20 fucknozzles that came over to fly airplanes into our buildings on 9/11 came over here legally.

While Clinton loves to take credit for catching the millennium Bomber in Blaine, WA, the fact is that it was purely by chance that the border cop noticed him sweating on a cold day and that made her curious. If I had been the guy, I would have gone over he border in Sumas, where he probably never would have been stopped.

Everyone is looking to the Southern border for terrorists to cross. I know of roads right here in Washington that you can cross right into Canada and nobody would ever know — or care.

But yes, “Noodle-Spine” is an idiot and he is doing a great job of distracting people. You and I both know that he has no intention of stopping the flow of illegal aliens into this country. His corporate masters don’t want him to stop it.

So to put all facts into play, both sides of the political fence are willing to give “We The People” the finger, using any excuse to leave the back door wide-open.

Bush is using the fear of terrorists in an attempt to distract you and everyone else from him having no real intention of preventing illegal aliens from entering the country.

The key word there is attempt. Poll numbers suggest that just about every Republican not earning their living from Wall Street or agriculture are cognizant of- and unamused with- his antics.

In the case of the border patrol, I am sure that the focus IS on terrorists. It is the focus set by the Bush administration

    Double-underline bolded italics.

While he doesn’t even approach the deranged conspiracies many liberals imagine, Bush has exercised little subtlety in his use of public sentiment for his own, very selfish ends on many issues, not the least of which is the promotion of the fine upstanding Undocumented American community.

It’s painfully obvious that our Border Patrol is locked in on terrorists- supported by the fact that there have been no attacks in six years- and paying no attention to illegals who just want to run coke, join gangs, rape women, kill everyone from infants to indigents while driving drunk, and oh yeah, some of them just want to pick fruit and drive down the wages of the lower class.

After 9/11, instead of addressing the logistical problems faced by the Border Patrol, he just reassigned the funds it did have to trying to pick terrorist needles from a haystack. Two birds with one stone!

I don’t know why you see it as a win/lose thing.

Do you realize that in the next 100 years, people are ALL going to be pretty much the same shade and culture?

Society is evolving, and always has been. “Tradition” isn’t as static as it seems, it too changes over time.

I suppose you could stand there in the middle of the stampede holding your hand out yelling “stop!” but all that is going to do is get you run over.

You are already “giving in” and you don’t even realize it. Tacos, buritos, chinese food. You probably even say a few spanish words here an there.

Hell, not even that. They are just there to clean up the aftermath. The show to fill out the paperwork. To make an arrest for trespassing in the town in which I live (we had an old perv who lived next door and peeked into womens and girls windows while fondling his pecker). I caught him in my backyard at 5:30am on winter morning with his eye glued to my back window oggling my wife. I chased him off. He ran and vaulted over the back wall into the neighborhood. I called the cops, told them what I saw and told them I would swear out the complaint and come down to make sure that it got done. They would NOT arrest him OR fill in the report BECAUSE the town does not have a peeping tom law. I asked if I could defend my own property from trespass and I was told I could NOT! I could not sit on him and hold him for arrest at gun point because I would be guilty of assault.

    :em08:

We sold the house and moved. I had faced this guy across the back wall before and told him in no uncertain terms that he best cease and desist. If he harmed my family he would reap the consequences. On the last day of moving, I saw him walking along the street, flipped him off and told him if I ever saw him around my family again I would kill him. This a$$hole had peeped into my house, trespassed on my property (walled back yard), stalked my wife and I could NOT do anything to defend them UNLESS he came into the home. This is what the local police unless nitwits told me.

I bought the wife a .380 and taught her to use it. I travel a lot for business and she had to have a good handgun.

    Sayeth Agent Carrillo:

Border Patrol agents dont have the responsibility of apprehending illegal immigrants, Carlos X. Carrillo, chief patrol agent for the Laredo sector, said at a town hall meeting Wednesday.”

    and

Carrillo said, noting that illegal narcotics are also not on the agents priority list.

“The Border Patrol mission is not to do any of those things,” he emphasized.

    Really.

Mildly intrigued by these statements, I wandered over to the Border Patrol homepage on the World Wide Web, and I found this:

While the Border Patrol has changed dramatically since its inception over 75 years ago, its primary mission remains unchanged: to detect and prevent the illegal entry of aliens into the United States.

Goodness. Boldface is mine for emphasis.

Further down — the Border patrol homepage — I find this:

Together with other law enforcement officers, the Border Patrol helps maintain borders that work - facilitating the flow of legal immigration and goods while preventing the illegal trafficking of people and contraband.

Again, bold is mine for emphasis.

Seems to me that Agent Carrillo might want to check with Border Patrol PR releases before he hauls off and crams his size 8 brogans down his throat.

on the subject of the police: The police are nothing more than a taxpayer funded, government backed street gang.

As for the subject of the post, it doesn’t seem any shock to me at all that a guy with the last name Carillo is working to assist illegals enter the country.

DJ Allyn: I wouldn’t raise a finger to stop the flood of change, except that the people who are rapidly increasing in number have no morals, no etiquette, no respect, and a good number of them apparently have no soap.

Call me a pompous stuffy white bastard if you like (hell, I’m half English), but they are animals in the way they live. I mean hell, they won’t even bother to keep their restaurants clean. That alone, in my opinion, is a massive indication of a problem. Especially when, in the case of Mexicans, they are most likely to be feeding their own people.

My own house may not be all that clean, but if I cook someone dinner, you can know damn well that the dishes I use are going to be spotless, and the food I prepare will be fresh.
Two things you will never see together: Clean and “Mexican restaurant”

Is it just coincidence that his name is Carillo??
Remember Pancho on the Cisco Kid?
    Leo Carillo.

Carillo is also a street in Santa Barbara. I think it’s named after one of the founding Mexican families.
