Are you looking for the CURRENT VERSION of the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler?

Right after the Obamanation gets done pre-emptively calling Republicans racist and accusing us, before the fact, of engaging in racist smear attacks, who launches a bigoted smear ad against a candidate?

Why, the Democrats Communists, of course.

Oh, the irony. Not to mention the hypocrisy, but don’t expect anybody in the MSM to notice.

Just to make absolutely sure that nobody misses the ethnicity of Mr. Rossi, we’re talking about a liberal target audience, after all, and they do have to have rather massive audio/visual aids to grasp anything more subtle than a hammer to the face, the ad uses the theme music from The Sopranos as a background.

You stay classy, Democrats Communists.

DOUBLE irony alert: Among other things (corruption being one of them. We’re talking about somebody of Italian descent, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more!), the bigoted slime ad complains about, you’re going to laugh your arses off at the brazenness of it all, Republican smear tactics.

If the irony were to get any thicker, it’d collapse under its own weight and form a singularity.

Jackass Democrat Communist bigots.

Thatisall.

Well let’s see if Homie Bus Boy throws this one under his ride.

That damn bus is going defy gravity if it goes any higher.

Welcome to Obammy Airlines Bus Lines. The oxygen mask above your seat will soon deploy. When it does fully extend the tube and place the elastic band over your head and fit the mask firmly covering your mouth and nose. Breathe normally through your mouth. We are experiencing severe turbulence today and the “thump-ka-thump” you hear is merely the pilots adjusting their campaign strategy course to keep you comfortably numb. Kool-Aid is available to any passenger, free of charge.

Thank you for flying Obammy Airlines, where we HOPE to land you safely, if not, you’re not the passengers we knew 20 years ago.

Actually, I have been listening to the campaign ads for BOTH side on the radio now for several months. I like Rossi enough to hope he actually gets to go to Olympia and do the job that all living and registered voters outside King County elected him to do last time.

This just in from Beirut .. aka Pisslamistan Central

Now they’re actually celebrating terrorism by opening, you guessed it .. a fast food place called Buns and Guns …

I’m part speechless at the audacity of it and part laughing at the humor involved ..

    IC,

    That’s AWESOME!!

How did I not think of that first?!?

“We thought at the beginning that it was a weapons store but later we discovered that it was actually a fast food restaurant,” said customer Amr Nahas as he ordered a “magnum,” a grilled chicken sandwich, with a side order of “grenades” or potato wedges.

Customers enter the restaurant under a sign bearing the restaurant’s name — in English — and the slogan, “a sandwich can kill you,” a reference to the large portions.

The glossy camouflage menus feature burgers with names like “the mortar” and “the 155 mm howitzer,” while grilled chicken sandwiches can be a “magnum” or a “rocket-propelled grenade.” (sounds like a White Castle ‘Slider’ - MD) Lebanon’s most common and popular weapon, the AK-47 Klashnikov assault rifle, is a beefsteak sandwich served in long baguette-style bread.

“The idea came before all the clashes that happened in Lebanon,” co-owner Ali Hamoud told Associated Press Television News on Tuesday. “But in the end, (the fighting) helped in advertising the restaurant.”

    Now that’s Capitalism, Baby!!

I don’t think it’s quite as bigoted as you are portraying. I don’t know if you guys are from Seattle but the whole mafia angle doesn’t really sing that well out here. I had seen the commercial and didn’t even catch it. Then again, what the hell do I know, I’m a clueless liberal.

So .. lets remove Rossi’s ethnicity from this equation because apparently it is not readily known or apparent to the average voter. You still have the following, which is very hard to deny.

The show “Sopranos” is very very popular, and is about an Organized crime figure in NJ.

The opening music in essence recycles the lines “Woke up this morning and got yourself a gun” over and over and is very well known due to the shows popularity.

That (regardless of the songs true intent) the song is now forever tied to a show about mobsters.

That the average person will hear the song and immediatly associate it with a show about mobsters.

It is reasonable to assume that if you play that song in the background, a certain percentage of humans will associate the song with whatever is in the foreground.

Given that the advertisment had to do with this candidates ties to a “Builders Union” and a certain population understand that in NY and NJ oraganized crime is associated with construction, one can reasonably assume that the background music was a attempt to do the one of the following:

Either portray Rossi as a member of Organized Crime

Portray the Builders Union as being involved in Organized Crime

Give the subtle impression that both are the same. (organized Crime)

So the question that should be asked is who selected & approved this music, and what was thier “vision” for doing so.

    BTW:

The real issue in the State of Washington Governor’s race that is far more interesting is Gov. Gregoire’s handouts to her supporters. This article from the Seattle Times has been pretty widely read and discussed out here. You can read it but, basically, if you donated to her recount campaign, you got paid.

    I’m a Democrat and I say F her.

    Indeed.

Whatever the motivation of the composer, where he’s from or what the lyrics may be in their entirety…

There is no escape from what the song has become.

    Example:

“Duelling Banjos” was written LONG before “Deliverance”

But today, everyone knows what is meant when someone decides to use those 9 opening notes. :em38:

    Of course it was deliberate.

DJ… The real poin tin this matter is that regardless of the local populations “feelings” towards the candidate(s) and the unions, the tactic was WROOOOOOONNGGGGG.

How can we expect a better product, when we allow a shitty production standard??
