Are you looking for the CURRENT VERSION of the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler?

Thanks, Mrs. M, for giving us the latest “The Wheels Of The Bus Go ‘Bump’, ‘Bump’, ‘Bump’” update.

It must be some amazing ground clearance that His Obamaness’ campaign bus boasts, considering the sheer number of former family, friends and allies that are gathering down there. Latest under the bus? MoveOn.org:

Barack Obama yesterday landed a right hook on one of his biggest left-wing supporters yesterday - blasting MoveOn.org for labeling Gen. David Petraeus “General Betray Us.”

Obama, in a patriotism speech in Independence, Mo., hit the Web site for taking out an ad in The New York Times last year that targeted Petraeus, then the top US commander in Iraq.

MorOn.org, as you probably know, have been firm allies of his, boosting his campaign with mass emails and ads highlighting his Lightworkiness while sliming his opponents at every turn. But hey, the primaries are over, the Kostard Nutroots are no longer needed to beat the Hildebeest, so it’s time to tack to the right and leave those suckers under the bus. Who else are they going to vote for, after all? Not to mention that he knows that they, being the good goosestepping little automatons that they are, would merrily vote for Pinochet if he were alive and running with a “D” next to his name.

Harsh? Not nearly harsh enough. As you may also recall, he had not a word of admonishment for MorOn.org back when it was actually an issue. Because, well, you know, he needed them and their moonbats back then.

“A general providing his best counsel on how to move forward in Iraq was accused of betrayal.

“We can no longer afford these sorts of divisions.”

Meaning: “I can no longer afford giving a nod and a wink to stuff that might alienate the voters in the center so, under the bus you go!”

Many of Obama’s Senate colleagues already felt the same way - and had expressed their anger at the ad back in September, when they voted to “strongly condemn personal attacks on the honor and integrity of” Petraeus.

Obama skipped the vote.

Big surprise there. That seems to be the sum total of his “leadership experience:” Skipping uncomfortable votes. But it is quite telling as to his Obambiness’ character or, rather, lack of same. Two-faced, lying, opportunistic hypocrite.

His Majesty is actually beginning to feel bad about all of the flip-flop jokes he made about John Fuckface Kerry back in ‘04. Not that they weren’t warranted, but we should have saved the best ones for now, seeing as how His Hopenchangitudinalityness makes Kerry look like the very epitome of unbending principle and adherence thereto.

But yesterday, he couldn’t have been more red, white and blue, proclaiming his love for America and vowing not to question the patriotism of his political opponents.

“For those, like John McCain, who have endured physical torment in service to our country, no further proof of such sacrifice is necessary,” Obama said.

His campaign issued a statement more specifically condemning Sunday’s comments by retired general and top Democrat Wesley Clark, who said of McCain, “I don’t think getting in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to become president.”

In the statement, spokesman Bill Burton said Obama “rejects [Sunday's] statement by Gen. Clark.”

*BUMP*

Could you change the oil while you’re underneath there, Gen. Clark?

The skirmish overshadowed Obama’s carefully orchestrated speech intended to quell doubts about his patriotism.

“Throughout my life, I have always taken my deep and abiding love for this country as a given,” said Obama, sporting a shiny flag pin on his lapel.

Oh, and his newfound love of flag lapel pins hasn’t abated yet either, we see? It’s interesting how he has suddenly grown infatuated with those “overly patriotic” gizmos, isn’t it?

So what brought on all of this hyperpatriotism? Other than the fact that we’re now entering the general election phase, of course.

One recent poll found only 61 percent of Americans believe Obama loves his country. [Emphasis ours -- Emp.M.]

Ta-daaa. It may turn out that His Obambiness is even more cravenly, blatantly poll-driven than even the Clintons.

Now that would be an achievement worthy of the Guiness Book of World Records.

And not much of anything else.

Thatisall.

I wonder: With the sheer number of blowhards being ground up by his bus, does that rack up carbon credits?

retired general and top Democrat Wesley Clark, who said of McCain, “I don’t think getting in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to become president.”

Well, gee whiz, Wes, I guess that your personally trying to start WW3 with the Russians in Kosovo qualifies you to be VP for Obambi?
For those of you who wonder about my question, during the unpleasantness in Kosovo, Gen. Clark threatened to shoot down the troop transports that the Russians were flying into the airport in Kosovo. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed. Clark reminds me very much of General Jack D. Ripper in Dr. Strangelove. Obambi is a cynical Marxist/socialist and Clark is a meaglomaniac with delusions of grandeur.

…which seems to be exactly the same way McCain feels about Conservatives…

    And in other news…

I think he not only through Clarke under the bus, but he backed over him and ran him down a third time. :em01:

Why aren’t we talking about gas being $4.43 at the gas pump? Why aren’t we talking about the weak dollar being part of the cause of this? Why aren’t we talking about the speculators driving the cost of oil up based on saber rattling by Israel and the Bush administration on Iran?

IIRC, the democrats promised to get us out of Iraq when they got in. The high oil prices happened on their watch. How come you aren’t holding the democrats accountable? They’ve had congress for awhile now, and haven’t done squat.

How many has McCain missed now? Obama hasn’t missed anywhere near as many as McCain has.

That’s an interesting observation Deej. I haven’t done the research or the math, but I’m willing to admit that if you compute McCain’s average, since he has served considerably longer than Obambi, and come up with an average that is higher, there might be a glimmer of a point there. If the voters missed were on matters that might similarly be considered votes that have the same import as those Barry skipped out on, then the point might even be valid.

John Kennedy once remarked that the only thing he managed to do was get his boat sunk.

Not to mention that he knows that they, being the good goosestepping little automatons that they are, would merrily vote for Pinochet if he were alive and running with a “D” next to his name.

Methinks you are being a bit harsh here Sire, since Augustus implemented free-market reforms and voluntarily returned power to elected civilian representatives. Free market reforms to this pack of commies are like garlic to Dracula, and of course if they were in a position of absolute power the likelihood they would voluntarily give it up approaches infinity.

The rest of the world thinks he was an evil evil man, but from what I understand he’s actually still held in pretty high regard in Chile.

But, I understand what you were trying to say.

I wasn’t disparaging Pinochet, not at all, I was merely pointing out that they would vote for anybody or anything, as long as it has a “D” attached. And yes, you’re absolutely right. It’s amazing how such an “evil, HORRIBLE man” can be held in such high regards by the very people that he allegedly mistreated.

    Makes you wonder, it does.

The more I read about Obambi and McShame the deeper I sink into total political apathy. Oh Lord, when will I get to participate in an election in which I don’t have to vote for the Least Obnoxious Alternative?

So you are blaming Democrats in Congress for this mess?

    Why yes I am.

Bush has called for drilling in ANWR for 7 years. He has asked for new refineries for 7 years. He has asked for offshore drilling for 7 years.

Ya know, if the democrats communists really wanted to do something “for the Chillldddren” and maybe try to not give so much money to oil soaked savages, maybe they should let us drill and produce.

    Methinks doth protests too much.

Let me take a moment to question the impugn competence of General Weaselly Clark.

“I don’t think getting in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to become president.”

John McCain never flew a fighter plane. He flew naval attack bombers. First the Douglas A-1 Skyraider of sainted memory, and then the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk, also of sainted memory. Though both aircraft were relatively small, neither was a fighter. :em98:
Such a mistake is undertandable and perhaps forgiveable when made by a newsbimbo. But that is exactly the sort of thing that a supposed professional like Weasel Clark is supposed to know so instinctively he gets it right in his sleep. And since those were both Viet Nam era aircraft, Clarkie is doubly at shame for his mistake. That is a military leader? :em01: :em95: :em01:

    Dave,

After only 8 months in office, Bush was given all of the blame for 9/11, even though it had been building up for years.

The democrats have had congress for awhile now. HOW COME THEY HAVEN’T DONE ANYTHING about oil/gas prices?

Fair is fair. If the left is gonna blame Bush for the attack on NYC, then we get to blame congress for the high gas prices.

DJ…. MCCains bill, did not amount to giving the veterans “nothing”. The way I understood it is that he opposed the democratic sponsored bill due to its giving 4 yrs of college for a four year tour of duty. He wanted more of a investment from the individual inorder to get the full blown four years. So to charecterize his bill as giving “nothing” is an inaccuracy.

Keep in mind that the military has many opportunities for its personnel to take “higher” learning classes for free while they are still serving. The credits are good anywhere. Now my read on it is that combat veterans (those that see actual combat, and go on combat operations) should be afforded the full blown four years on our dime after they complete four years. But the REMF’s should not get the same benefit. You do know what a REMF is ? Actually they are called FOBBITS now.

Now here’s a perfectly legitimate statement:

“I don’t think getting in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to become president.”

He’s right. Getting shot down infers no qualifications to speak of.

    What followed speaks volumes though.
