Are you looking for the CURRENT VERSION of the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler?

Remember the asshole anti-war, anti-military, anti-American shyster who vandalized a Marines car? Then threatened to drag it out to the point the Marine couldn’t fight it. Well he had his court date today.

Seems the judge had a few choice words for him. That was after he had him arrested. Hehehe.

Sgt.McNulty couldn’t be there due to his Iraq deployment. He was however represented by not one, but two high profile attorneys from the States Attorneys Office. And several very large, very angry Marines. Short version, Asshole plead guilty, $600 fine payable to the Semper Fi Fund (ain’t that poetic justice), 1 year of community service (with the threat of 365 days in jail of he misses even one), and a stern history lesson from the Judge about the Corps.

Go here and here for more. I especially appreciated the sentiment on Black Five that the Viet Nam era vets refuse to allow this generation of vets to go through what they went through. Amen brothers! You’re not alone in that sentiment.

Justice can be a beautiful thing, can’t it?

About time some of these assholes were punished! In 1971 I do remember seeing a Marine sergeant beat the living shit out of some lippy hippy at the Greyhound Bus Depot in San Francisco…….ah, the good old days.

I wish I could have heard the history lesson the judge gave. I bet that shyster is trying to get the stains out of his underwear. He’s probably crying into his Perrier about the abuse righteous anger directed his way.

Here’s an idea: Since this Grodner :em38: is looking at 30 days’ worth of community service, let him carry it out in a veterans’ hospital. When he shows up, have him wear a button that says something like this:

    I keyed a Marine’s car.
    Ask me why!

Let him try to explain himself to everybody who asks.

Please — NO. We do not need people who are mandated to work in the VH. They never work out because they just don’t want to be there. It wouldn’t be fair to the men and women who rely on us to be there for them.

We are always looking for GOOD volunteers who WANT to be there. If you have a few hours a week and you don’t want to be bored, come on down and lend a hand. I have been doing this since 1990 and I can tell you there is no more fulfilling thing you can be doing with your spare time.

….and a stern history lesson from the Judge about the Corps.

    I’ll bet he did.

Though he might not be in the courtroom, [Sgt] McNulty might derive some comfort from the fact that the presiding judge is a former Marine. Circuit Court Judge William O’Malley was a lance corporal in the early 1960s and is known around the Chicago Courthouse for wearing a Marine Corps pin on his lapel and celebrating the Corps’ birthday each November.

Too bad the judge wasn’t a former DI. That history lesson could have included a practical application phase concentrating on the finer points of eight count squat thrusts, mowing the courthouse grass with his fingers, blade by blade, and a ten mile run while holding his briefcase over his head - then he could swab out the courthouse latrines for good measure.

I give it my Liberal Seal of Approval

On this site, would that be seen as a token’s gesture?

(I’m just kidding, by the way. I know you mean it.)

MegaTroopX - It sounds like that went the same route as the felony charge…. right down the shitter. Hopefully, Sgt. McNulty’s insurance company will sue the bastard for it.

This was a criminal trial, so it does not cover damages. That gets dealt with in a civil court, if needed. The Sergeant’s insurance firm obviously knows who did it, they get to recover the cost of the repairs from the lawyer. Since he pled guilty to the criminal charge, there’s no chance that he will not pay for fixing the car. It will just happen under the radar, so to speak.

It’s good to hear that Grodner, the jackass, was given his just desserts, and the fact that the judge was an ex-Marine is karma coming back to bite his ass. I’m just hoping this idiot is either dumb or arrogant enough not to fork over his money to that Marine Fund. It would give law enforcement a good excuse to take him down. I’d also found it interesting, at reading the info at Blackfive, that several lawyers were willing to work the Marine’s case pro bono. Hmmm, either people hate this guy, or they thought that this case stood up. Either way, they were obviously not in Grodner’s corner. And, then he shows up late to court. Where was this guy’s brain? The very last thing you want to do is tick off a judge. Lastly, I am so hoping that he gets disbarred after this little stunt. That would be the icing on this cake.

I was hoping he would have to give more than 600-that is a pittance for a lawyer. Other than that, a good outcome. I heard the judge gave a verbal bitch slap that was wonderful to see. :em93:

Nah, he’d intentionally (or through sheer incompetence) give them shitty counsel. Have him wash & wax every vehicle in the motor pool at Camp Swampy for a year. After that, make him clean the latrines for another year… … … … … … … With his tongue.

This is great news. I read the Chicago Tribune online every day and reporter John Kass did a very nice write-up on it….along with a few added personal comments about the jerk. Definitely worth a read.

On another happy note, the flaming liberal that sued me 3 years ago and lost and then dissapeared has been located thanks to the superb work of my fine Republican California attorney. He’s in PA now, probably living in his mom’s basement. Anyway, we’re going after him with both barrels this time and we’re also going after his attorney for malicious prosecution. This ought to be fun.

I’m still in Iraq for another 9 months or so and my attorney guarantees that he will look out for me. There area few good ones still out there!

I wouldn’t want scum like that anywhere near hospitalised servicemen and women, either. Relegate the “voluntolds” to the unpleasant tasks that don’t involve contact with patients. Central Material Service is always such a “joy”.

It sounds like that went the same route as the felony charge…. right down the shitter.

According to the article in the Chicago Tribune, Sgt. McNulty’s family chose to handle this as a misdemeanor. And since he pleaded guilty to the charges, he won’t be off the hook for paying the damages to the car.

This guy’s extremely lucky our esteemed Marine sergeant went about redressing this wrong the right way, rather than repaying the compliment by “keying” his person — with a bayonet.

May the Good L-rd bless and keep Sgt. McNulty safe from harm throughout his latest deployment.

I just read the transcript on blackfive-the judge really let him have it.

mindy1 - I read it too. and the smackdown was a beautiful thing to behold. There’s a pretty good article in the Chicago Tribune covering it.

I particularly liked these words from the judge:

“You’re probably also wondering why there was a whole crowd of people here, Mr. Grodner. That’s because there is a little principle that the Marine Corps has had since 1775. When they fought and lost their lives so that people like you could enjoy the freedom of this country. It is a little proverb that we follow: No Marine is left behind. So Sgt. McNulty couldn’t be here. But other Marines showed up in his stead.

    Take him away.”

It reminded me of these words that are attributed to a judge in the New Mexico Territory:

Jose Manuel Miguel Xavier Gonzales, in a few short weeks it will be spring.

The snows of winter will flee away, and the ice will vanish, and the air will become soft and balmy. In short, Jose Manuel Miguel Xavier Gonzales, the annual miracle of the years will awaken and come to pass, but you won’t be there.

The rivulet will run its soaring course to the sea, the timid desert flowers will put forth their tender shoots, the glorious valleys of this imperial domain will blossom as the rose. Still, you won’t be here to see.

From every tree top some wild woods songster will carol his mating song, butterflies will sport in the sunshine, the busy bee will hum happy as it pursues its accustomed vocation, the gentle breeze will tease the tassels of the wild grasses, and all nature, Jose Manuel Miguel Xavier Gonzales, all will be glad, but you.

You won’t be here to enjoy it because I command the sheriff or some other officers of the county to lead you out to some remote spot, swing you by the neck from a knotting bough of some sturdy oak, and let you hang until you are dead.

And then, Jose Manuel Miguel Xavier Gonzales, I further command that such officer or officers retire quickly from your dangling corpse, that vultures may descend from the heavens upon your filthy body until nothing shall remain but bare, bleached bones of a cold-blooded, copper-colored, blood-thirsty, throat-cutting, chili-eating, sheep-herding, murdering son-of-a-bitch.
