Amidst all the brou-ha-ha about how Biden’s racism is all of a sudden “authentic and refreshing” whereas Republican non-racism is invariably turned into actual racism through the diligent use of liberal decoder rings, we’ve also been treated to how Biden’s alleged foreign policy experience and expertise brings a lot to the ticket. Such as this display of mind-shattering brilliance right after 9/11:
At the Tuesday-morning meeting with committee staffers, Biden launches into a stream-of-consciousness monologue about what his committee should be doing, before he finally admits the obvious: “I’m groping here.” Then he hits on an idea: America needs to show the Arab world that we’re not bent on its destruction. “Seems to me this would be a good time to send, no strings attached, a check for $200 million to Iran,” Biden declares. He surveys the table with raised eyebrows, a How do ya like that? look on his face. [Emphasis ours -- Emp. M.]
Well, disregarding the “minor” detail that Iranians aren’t, you know, Arabs and are, as a matter of fact, generally quite resentful of even the slightest suggestion that they might be, you have to admit that a sudden $200 million check from the U.S. government with no strings attached right after 9/11 could possibly have left the Mad Mullahs baffled enough that it might have delayed their nuclear programs by at least an hour and half.
It’s hard to plan while you’re doubled over in side-splitting bouts of laughter, after all.
We have to ask you this: Is it possible to die from over-ingestion of popcorn? Because if it is, then we really need to cut back on the shit or we’ll be dead as a doornail come October.

This is going to be like watching your exwife slide off a cliff…in your favorite car. The dishonor that the candidacy of entitlement brings on the Senate, and by extention, our nation weighs heavily on me in quiet moments. This fool continues to utterly bamboozle too large a segment of our population, and now he has chosen someone who made a career out of lies, damn lies, and politics. Win or lose, the damage these self-indulgent egotistical titans are wrecking on the process in general will not be repaired for decades.

I think it’s dubious 1) he did this just before the convention (yeah- I’m questioning the timing) and 2) I would think that his citizenship would have been thoroughly investigated by the FBI, the SS, the DNC, and just about any other alphabet organization that would have had a real interest. Note that the RNC itself hasn’t said very much about this. Look, my dislike, nay, my hostility towards Obama is second to no one. But can we fucking please direct our anger towards something a bit more concrete?

oh, and thanks for following up on that tip, i am so glad you found them. I missed seeing them (in their later 80’s manifestation) in Stresa, Italy when i was a teenager, by a few days. Didn’t plan it, but saw posted on a wall while i was there with my family.

I’ll suppose it’s possible the Republicans asked him to do this, if for no other reason to stir trouble up. But it makes no sense. Any of the relevant players short of the Demos themselves could have put a smoking halt to Obarry’s campaign simply by saying his status is indeterminant, or some other bullshit. The Demos themselves know full well that a relevation like that would have caused a crisis like they have never seen before. And McCain had his own residency status problems, questionable enough that the Senate had to declare him a native-born American. Glass houses, and all that. So, I honestly don’t think so. What it boils down to is a fanboi of Hillary’s partaking of that time-honored American institution, the lawsuit.
