You know, this whole thing reminds me a lot of Republican Rome during it’s backward slide into Empire. The word King was anathema to them, it was a dirty word. And yet some charismatic leader comes along, carries the mob with him and sets the precedent to the ancient world’s equivalent of big government.
True that Obama is no Julius Caesar, but then again I rather think Roman mobs had bigger testicles than modern Liberal mobs. One had to be a bigger man to impress the mobs back then.
In any case, Obama has a serious creep factor, and it just screams “charismatic dictator” to me. Call me a paranoid whack-job if you will, but look at his pictures and tell me there isn’t something seriously wrong with this guy. If you get a solidly democrat congress and this jackass in office, it’s carte-blanche to screw up this country. “We the People” doesn’t mean “People’s Republic.”

In the original picture, British prime minister Neville Chamberlain waved around a piece of paper with Hitler’s promise not to take anymore territory in 1938. By that time the Germans had walked into Austria without firing a shot and were occupying the Sudetenland (parts of Czechoslovakia). In the following year, Hitler finished gobbling up Czechoslovakia and had his sights set on Poland.
