With his electoral prospects fading by the day, Senator John McCain has fallen out with his vice-presidential running mate about the direction of his White House campaign…
Mark Salter, McCain’s long-serving chief of staff, is understood to have told campaign insiders that he would prefer his boss, a former Vietnam prisoner of war, to suffer an “honourable defeat” rather than conduct a campaign that would be out of character – and likely to lose him the election.
This could be another cunning plan, but just in case that it isn’t, His Majesty would like to issue the following statement to whassisface’s:
Listen, Twinkletoes, we already know that nothing matters more to McVain than McVain and how he thinks that the liberal Obamedia sees him. You’ve proven that abundantly already and we were hoping against hope that maybe the fact that they turned on you as one when you weren’t running against a REPUBLICAN would have clued you into the fact that they don’t give a shit about you no matter how much they tonguebathed your shriveled testicles back when you were busy undermining the Administration every change you got.
Apparently not even that was enough to hammer a clue through the massive wall of narcissistic ignorance surrounding whatever the fuck it is you keep inside that noggin of yours.
All that aside, we would like to remind you that the rest of the nation doesn’t really give a fuck if you can call yourself Miss Manners as you look at yourself in the mirror every night when you brush your teeth. You may be perfectly willing to suffer an “honorable” defeat rather than “dirtying” yourself by actually running against your opponent, but we’d like to remind you, once again, that this election ISN’T all about you.
If you allow yourself to lose an election to an avowed radical Marxist and thus place the future of our nation in the hands of somebody who likes to play kissy-kissy with Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko and assorted Hamas and PLO terrorists, then “honor” is a concept that you can forever wave goodbye to.
His Majesty would have thought that a military person with a service record as indisputably distinguished as yours would be familiar with the concept “mission first.” Or even “country first.” You sure as hell don’t seem to have a problem waving the latter around as you tour the country. But maybe you aren’t. Maybe it really is true, as we’ve come to suspect over the years, that the only thing that you put first is yourself. Which, ironically, would make you pretty much the same as the scumbag you’re running against.
Allow us to repeat ourself: This election ISN’T about you, no matter how much you might like for it to be so. It’s about this nation that you claim to love. It’s about the FUTURE of this nation that you claim to love. It has fuck all to do with your chances of scoring speaking engagements after November 4th or how nicely the communists of the Obamedia will talk about you then. It is also about the hundreds of thousands of CONSERVATIVE voters who, in spite of themselves, have decided to bite the bullet and donate their money and time to your campaign.
Let us tell you something: They’ll be more than a LITTLE bit pissed off if it turns out that you allowed yourself to lose in order to avoid looking “mean.” And if you think that you can find refuge amongst your former Democrat pals now that they don’t have any use for you anymore, think again.
You might as well go ahead and change your last name to “Arnold”, because that’s how you’ll be viewed by the nation that you betrayed.
Now, we still harbor in our heart a faint hope that this is all subterfuge, that your campaign has several other tricks up its sleeve and is planning to play them all in order to prevent this far-left terrorist-sympathizing kook from becoming President, but we want to make one thing clear: If it ISN’T the case, then G-d have mercy upon you.
Because the American people won’t.

McCain worries more about what other people think of him than anything else. I’m afraid that might have been in the mix for most of his life.
Very sad.
I do think that it’s a godsend, literally, that he picked Sarah as his veep. This could be the perfect positioning for her run at the presidency in 2012. God willing. Remember, she ran for lieutenant governor of Alaska and lost, before she ran for governor and won.

Ummm - can it really be an honourable defeat if you hold back from throwing everything at your opponent?
Now I am not talking about making shit up or attacking family (we’ll leave that to the other side) but can you honestly say “I did everything I could” if you do not question every suspect thing about your opponent?
If you opponent’s camp is caught in up some seriously suspect activities, if there are serious doubts about why certain information has not been released, can you honestly call it an honourable defeat by saying “That stuff is not worth pursuing?”
Let us hope it is some sort of cunning plan.

American’s in general, DO NOT LIKE LOSERS. Going down in an “honourable defeat” just means he will be despised by everyone. Sarah needs to kick his ass and tell him to get fighting.
And WTF is this “don’t be afraid of barak obama” shit? There is LOTS to be afraid of. His stance on taxes, his love of marxism, his attitude towards infanticide, his casual disregard for the female half of the population, his ties to his racist church, his transparent evasion attempts, and outright denial of troublesome facts.
McCain needs to get his head out of his ass and take note that his support is starting to crumble because he is trying to run his campaign like it is the republican primary. 1. An economic emergency cash rationing law limiting how much money you can withdraw from your banks.
2. An arms trade surveillance law mandating BATFE installed cameras in all gun stores.
3. A public security act mandating that information on anybody with a CCW permit be made available to the media.
4. Home schooling to be made not only illegal, but a felony.
5. A verbal assault prervention law criminalizing any use of the words most hated by lefties.
6. A national wellfare supplemental assessment, mandating a secondary collection of the domestic product levy for the UN to be extended also to households. This levey will not be on annual income , but on all assets.
7. Voting to be made compulsary. Those who don’t will have their utilities cut off.
I can think of worse things, but being a reformed, (ex), liberal, this is the kind of :em72: I would institute if I had remained one.

I would like to say that this is all Bravo Sierra, but given McWane’s behavior the past two weeks I would say it is all too possible.
Sometimes I get so frustrated with Gentleman Johnny’s limp-wristed campaign style that I am almost (well, not that close, but…) tempted to vote for the Moose just to give him the defeat that he is working so hard to earn. :em12:

I just went to a seminar on this earlier this year. Two retired IRS agents who were supposed to lecture on using financial investigative techniques to solve crimes, spent two days going on and on about forfeiture instead. Bloody waste of two days that I could have spent passed out drunk in the backyard. But anyway…
It’s $10K, not 2. The bank is required to make a “cash transaction report” to the Dep’t of the Treasury, where it gets filed in the same place as the forms where you declare taking $10K in cash on vacation with you. There’s been some talking about raising the amount to $50000 or $100,000, but I haven’t heard of anything more than talk.
Also, it doesn’t come from USA PATRIOT. This was instituted back in the 1980’s when US Customs wanted more snooping power to deal with drug-related money laundering.
There’s a separate item where a bank is required to report “suspicious activity” regardless of the amount. However, they don’t disclose the existence of the report to anybody other than Treasury and possibly local LE (if the locals ever even ask for it) and police are not allowed to disclose the existence of this suspicious activity report without permission from Maximum Leader Paulson. Not positive, but I think this was what got Elliot Spitzer in trouble.
