Having recently transferred from the status of “employee” to “employer”, I can tell you that in my own limited experience, many business owners hate having to deduct money from their employees paycheques. I certainly hate it, and there are plenty of others just like me that I’ve met. I never realized as an employee just how much my boss was raked over the coals. Now that I’m on the other side of the fence, and I really see how much I have to withold from my employees to send to the government, it makes me downright pissed off. I would love to pay all of my employees more money. But the fact is, I’m not the one stealing the fruits of their efforts. That plumber has it exactly right. He’s got more brain cells firing in one second than most politicians have in a year.
In Canada we are having an election on Tuesday (today!). It is a choice between four different statist, socialist thieves. Our “right wing nutjob” is about as far right as Al Gore. I can’t help but pass on this election. And if I were an American, I honestly think I’d do the same.

I worked pretty hard as a single parent to get off welfare, food stamps and Medicaid by getting a job, hiring a babysitter and scrimping and saving. It took a long time and plenty of hardship to wean myself from the government dole, and I saw a lot of people along the way who thought it was a permanent lifestyle and raised their children to think so too. There’s lots of trailer trash of varying colors in this world, and it’s everywhere.
Now I live in my own condo with a great job and a car and a bank account. The kids are raised and I wanted to go back to school.
Why the hell should I do that, after listening to this communist idiot?
